1-Day Conquering the Heights of Bisoke

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your day begins early with a 4:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Kigali, followed by a scenic drive to the park headquarters in Kinigi the starting point of your Mount Bisoke hike. Rising to 3,711 meters, this striking volcano features a classic conical shape and a stunning crater lake at its summit.

While the hike isn’t technical, it does require stamina due to the high altitude. Depending on your pace and how often you stop to soak in the incredible views, the round trip can take anywhere from 5 hours to a full day. Along the way, you’ll pass through a variety of lush vegetation zones, from bamboo groves to Hagenia and Hypericum woodlands.

Expect to arrive back in Kigali around 5:00 PM.
