This entire day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti. Home to abundant wildlife such as impalas, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and hippos, the Serengeti is especially famous for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. Animal movements are influenced by rainfall and vary from year to year. From April to June, the herds move from the southern grasslands to the western areas dominated by hills and woodlands.
During the longer rainy season from April to June, the herds return to the west. In addition to the migrating herds, there is an opportunity to observe resident predators such as hyenas, crocodiles, cheetahs, and lions, all fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
