Keep your eyes peeled as you explore, as you may also spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, waterbucks, and more than 400 recorded bird species.

Game Viewing Ngorongoro Crater After Transfer Serengeti National Park (Western Corridor)
We will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending 610 meters to the grasslands of the crater floor, an area of about 265 square kilometers. Despite its small size, the crater is “Big Five” territory, and the openness of the terrain allows for easy and rewarding game viewing. Spend the day exploring the crater floor, stopping for a picnic amid grazing herds. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption, the world’s largest intact and un-flooded caldera provides a year-round home to an astonishing 25,000 large mammals, including black rhinos, wildebeest, and zebras.
The crater’s forests shelter elephants and buffalo, its wetlands are home to hippos and flamingos, and its predators include lions, jackals, leopards, and caracals.
After lunch, depart the crater and drive to Serengeti National Park. You will arrive at your carefully selected tented camp by mid-afternoon, allowing time to settle in before dinner.

Home to abundant wildlife such as impalas, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and hippos, the Serengeti is especially famous for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. Animal movements are influenced by rainfall and vary from year to year. From April to June, the herds move from the southern grasslands to the western areas dominated by hills and woodlands.
During the longer rainy season from April to June, the herds return to the west. In addition to the migrating herds, there is an opportunity to observe resident predators such as hyenas, crocodiles, cheetahs, and lions, all fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
