This reserve is a haven for unique wildlife, including the rare Grevy's zebra and the elegant reticulated giraffe. The dry, open savannahs provide excellent opportunities for spotting large predators such as lions and cheetahs. After exploring the diverse and vibrant ecosystems, return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner. After breakfast, embark on your journey to Marsabit National Park. Marsabit National Park features a dense montane forest and three crater lakes that provide a haven for a variety of birdlife, mammals and reptiles. The lower slopes of the mountain might be scorched and dry but the richly forested scenic views around makes it just as magical and a sight to behold. The beautiful park is a refuge for the huge tusked bull elephants and was home to most famous elephant named Ahmed until his death at an estimated age of 63 years.

You will depart for the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve after breakfast at Ziwa Bush Lodge.

The Masai Mara National Reserve, dubbed a natural Wonder of the World, is famously known for the annual wildebeest migration which takes place between July and October. Even if a visit to the Mara does not coincide with the migration season, the Masai Mara never fails to impress with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Its majestically sweeping savannah grasslands, breathtaking topography, the Big Five, enchanted sunrises and sunsets, the lovely Maa culture, and much more will still be right in front of you.

You will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at the Jambo Mara Safari Lodge. You will then embark on an afternoon game drive after lunch and some leisure time at the lodge. You'll return to the lodge for dinner and to stay the night.

Day 9-10

Masai Mara National Park

Wake up to a hearty breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a full-day game drive in the park with a packed lunch.

If your visit falls during the migration season, you will follow the migration as your guide tries to identify all of the Big Five. You will watch in awe and anticipation as hundreds of wildebeest cross the crocodile-infested river. The ensuing herds will step over hundreds, perhaps even thousands of bodies that have drowned in the water. Those who are fortunate enough to cross, will discover the predators who are ready to make prey of them. You will be dumbfounded after such a moving encounter. You will then enjoy a picnic lunch in a beautiful area of the park.

Further game drives will be taken before you head back to the lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 11

After a leisurely breakfast, you will say your goodbyes to the Mara and depart for Nairobi. You will arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon.

Subject to your departure time, you can engage in optional activities in Nairobi such as visiting the Giraffe Center and the National Museum of Kenya. You will then be driven to the airport or dropped off at a hotel in Nairobi, depending on your preference.
