Arusha to Tarangire National Park

At 8:00am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha by your guide and driver, then depart directly for Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Predators in Tarangire include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger and African wild dog. The oldest known elephant to give birth to twins was recorded in Tarangire. Wildlife research in the park focuses mainly on the African bush elephant and Masai giraffe. In the afternoon, you will stop at a picnic area for lunch before continuing the game drive until evening. After the tour, you will drive to the campsite at Mto wa Mbu, near the Ngorongoro area. Dinner and overnight will be at Fig Lodge on a full-board basis.

Game Drive - Lake Manyara National Park

At 7:00am, you will depart for a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, where you may see tree-climbing lions and flocks of flamingos along the lake. Around noon, you will stop at a picnic area for lunch before continuing the game drive until evening. Afterward, you will return to Fig Lodge.

Game Drive - Ngorongoro Crater

At 6:00am, you will descend the crater rim for a day tour of Ngorongoro Crater, often called Tanzania’s "secret garden," home to a hidden world of abundant wildlife. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area encompasses three spectacular volcanic craters, the Olduvai Gorge, and vast stretches of savanna, forest and bushland. It is considered the flagship of Tanzania's tourism industry. Covering 8,300km² (3,205mi²), the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is also the only place on Earth where humans and wild animals coexist in harmony. It was designated a "Man and Biosphere Reserve" in 1971 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Later, you will have lunch and continue your game drive until the afternoon before ascending the rim to begin your journey back to Arusha. You will arrive in Arusha around 5:00pm, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
