After a wonderful breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park for a full day of wildlife viewing. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, with excellent chances to see lions and other predators alongside plains game.

The lifeblood of the park is the Tarangire River, which draws wildlife year-round and gives the park its name (local lore links it to the words for “river” and “warthog”).

You’ll travel in a comfortable 4×4 safari jeep to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic two-hour drive from Arusha Airport (ARK). Upon arrival, your guide will provide a short briefing before you begin exploring this remarkable park.

Lake Manyara is renowned for its incredible diversity of over 380 bird species, including flamingos and pelicans. Covering approximately 330 km², with nearly 220 km² of shimmering lake, the park is a haven for wildlife such as elephants, zebras, antelopes, and a wide variety of plant species.
