Lake Manyara unfortunately is growing and therefore the water is taking over big parts of the national park. It is still a very nice visit but if time is limite, you can skip it. Still wildlife there is great!

High waters from the recent rains limited the accessibility to some of the park. Still saw quite a bit though.

Beautifully green and much vegetation, forest. There are very many Baboons alongside the road and in the trees. The other animals remain to bug extent hidden due to the dense vegetation .

More of a bush vibe where it's not easy to spot animals but you will still see plenty of baboons, elefants and even buffalos

At the time i visited (early February 2024) it was not easy to see animals at Manyara as the grass was long. I saw quite a few baboons, gazelles and birds, but not much else during an afternoon safari. However, Manyara is one of the few places where you can do a night safari. It was a completely different experience and well worth it. We saw several elephants, a leopard, giraffes, white tailed and pygmy mongoose, a genet, dik diks and impala. For this reason I would recommend a stop at Manyara.

Te area around the lake seemed very sad with all the dead trees.

Very nice forest scenery, good change with respect to the other parks. however, because of the dense forest, there is a little less wildlife easily visible than in the savannah biomes. still, lots of baboons, birds, elephants etc.

Flora we would not have expected in Tanzania. Many many trees and humid air alongside a huge lake. At some point it looked mysterious, like a deadland with mud and dead trees due to the natron/soda that the lake contains. It had a great djungle/bush vibes with giraffes and elephants surprising in the dense forest. We were not lucky to see any cats.
