less animals, no lions, no hyaenas. But excellent safari - vibe, if you make a guided march.

Really enjoyed Lake Mburo! Didn't have high expectations, as I really just thought of it as a stop off on the way down to Beindi but I live this park! There was a different sighting around every corner, beautiful scenery and so many ways to see it depending on which lodge you chose to stay in. Would recommend two nights there easily.

Driving through the park without any specific game drives at dusk or dawn we saw many animals beside the road. It was a very remote and natural bush experience.

I recommend Lake Mburo, mostly for its charm and that genuine bush feel. Most of the time we felt alone in the park.

We didn't see a great deal of wildlife in the Lake Mburo park, but we did a fun boat trip and there was a LOT of birdlife.

Although Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s smallest parks we enjoyed the great lake setting and large populations of impala, zebra and buffalo. The highlight for us was a sunset walking tour with a ranger that allowed us to get closer to the animals.

If you like zebras this park is for you. There are herds of them here along with warthogs and baboons. The lake is picturesque and it's possible to have a cup of tea near the shore. I like Lake Mburo because tourists often overlook it on their way to the bigger name parks to the North and West. The place is not very crowded and this gives the park an intimate feel. It is also relatively close to Kampala.
