An amazing experience

I and my wife spent three days in Murchison Falls. Although being in the dry season, the park was full of game mainly on the shores of Nile River. I guess that during the wet season the scenery might be greener. Our camp lodge was very comfortable, calm and with an incredible view of the sunset sinking into the Nile. The staff has worked efficiently. Our guide from Cheetah Wildness Safaris was always attentive. I strongly advise navigate the Nile. The falls are powerful.

I had an unforgettable experiences when I visited the Murchison falls National Park. The most outstanding of the experiences is when we stood at the top of the falls and watched the waterfall. It was a such a beautiful scene and was coupled with a rainbow. Other wonderful experiences included the game ride and boat cruise. In the game ride, our guide named all the animal and bird species encountered in our local dialect which I found amazing. During the boat ride I came within a meter or two of a crocodile basking in the sun which was a bit frightening but I enjoyed as I had never seen a live crocodile myself. Our accommodation at the Kabalega wilderness lodge was wonderful to say the least and the chef formidable enough to make me fall in love with Italian Pasta once again.

Murchinson Falls was amazing! We listened to the sounds of the hippos at night from our super safari camp. We saw Elephants, Giraffes, Hyenas, and a Lion! The park is stunning with beauty and the guides the best!

Most unique park I've visited in all of East Africa.

The oil camps popping up were sad to see, so I hope they don't expand in the park anymore. This park was stunning, with the rolling hills, and acacia trees and palm trees. We booked through EcoExpeditions Uganda and our guide really knew what was going on. We stayed at Fort Murchison just outside of the park, but it was close enough that we were able to get to the park early. The food there (4 course meals) was great, but the mosquitoes were bad. Overall, my favorite park in Uganda.

Murchison is a very popular park in Uganda. There are lots of great option for safaris with this park - I suggest doing the game drive, boat tour, and falls hike. You cannot go to Murchison and miss out on the falls - they are breathtaking.

You'll be able to see an amazing variety of wildlife from the river, and the views from the top of the falls are beautiful. I camped near by and left during sunrise, one of the most beautiful sunrises i ever saw.

Unique place on earth: Murchison

We, a small group of 5 pax, stayed there for 1 night. I would recommend 2 days, because there is so much to see.
Wildlife - compared to other destinations like Kenia, Botswana, Tansania is not so rich, but good. Before visiting, I was a little concerned, that we would'nt see so much due to poaching in the past. But I was happy to watch a lot of animals.
Scenery is excellent - there is a great, unsurpassable variety. That's the big difference to Botswana, the country with the best Bush vibe - but the landscape is plain.
Weather was great, no rain, but green, vivid landscape.
Accomodation: we stayed for one night at Paara-Lodge, I really good lodge.
Guide: Our tour guide Akim was excellent, also the local guides tried their best to show us the country.
In my opinion this is propably the best place on earth for a safari due to the beautifulness, the scenery of the Nile-river, the Murchison-Fall and the wildlife.

Loved Murchison! And it's really close to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary so, if you have been lucky on your safari so far, you can tick off the last of your 'Big 5' with a visit there after.

We found charismatic and knowledgable UWA guides, beautiful vast plains and tons of mammals and birds. Even the dreaded tsetse flies could not put us off. We had an amazing leopard sighting here and our boat trip up the Nile and walk at the top of the falls added in variety. Magical place I would recommend to anyone.
