The Ngorongoro Crater boasts a variety of environments that quickly follow one another.
A true forest, a lake, a plain with short grass, and strange bushes over two meters tall, but without becoming actual trees.
The animals that alternate in this landscape are the same as in other parks, but the setting is always different.
I've never seen so many warthogs in my life!
And it's all framed by the crater rim, always covered in clouds and with its slopes dotted with baobabs. A unique setting, in the literal sense of the word.

The crater was beautiful. We saw a lot of wildlife there including a rhino as that was the only place we saw those since they are protected. We would not have wanted to miss that!

We got to see so many different wildlife species and I loved the flamingos.

Totally different experience than the higher parks and if you get lucky, you might see a rhino!

Be careful because it's cold in there! Origin of mankind, essential to visit it, despite the fact you won't see so many species as in The Serengeti...

It was very chilly the day we went to Ngorongoro Crater. We were told that some animals were not as visible because of that. We did see a male and female lion, which was awesome. We saw several elephants and other animals. Definitely worth visiting.

Great short trip through the Ngorongoro Crater. Along with the normal sightings, we got to see Rhino and lots of monkeys up close.

crowdy, feels more like in bigger zoo than an adventurous safari
