A trip worthy of a dream!
My 8-day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro with Almighty Kilimanjaro was an incredible experience from start to finish. The care and attention to detail began well before I arrived in Tanzania.
Rashid Point of contact, was fantastic throughout the planning process. His communication, support and thoughtful attention to detail made me feel confident that I was in good hands from the very beginning. When I arrived at the airport at 2 a.m., my driver, Abdul was already waiting to transfer me safely to the hotel, a huge relief after a long journey.
The Almighty Kilimanjaro-operated hotel was superb: clean, comfortable and welcoming, with delicious food and a spa that was perfect for relaxing and recovering after the hike. I highly recommend booking spa treatments in advance. Having such a comfortable place to stay before and after the trek added greatly to the overall experience.
On the mountain, the guides, porters and entire crew were exceptional. A special shout-out to Swalehe, Chisano and Babu. Their knowledge, encouragement and positive energy made a challenging adventure much more enjoyable. What stood out most was their incredible attention to detail. From bringing tea to our tents first thing in the morning to providing warm water for washing our hands (when it is in the negatives outside), the team went above and beyond to make the group feel comfortable and cared for, even in the toughest conditions.
I also appreciated Almighty kilimanjaro’s clothing donation program. It was wonderful to see the company giving hikers the opportunity to donate clothing and gear they no longer need, helping ensure these items are put to good use rather than left behind or discarded.
Safety was always the team’s top priority. The guides conducted thorough daily health checks, closely monitored how the group was feeling and made sure everyone was in the best possible hands. Their professionalism and genuine care gave me tremendous confidence, especially as the altitude and physical demands increased.
The food on the mountain was another highlight. I was amazed by the quality, variety and effort that went into preparing such delicious meals in challenging conditions. The team’s encouragement and celebration of every achievement, big and small, kept my spirits high and made the experience even more special.
The organisation was seamless, and it was clear how much pride everyone takes in their work.
Reaching the summit was a moment I’ll never forget, and I’m incredibly grateful to the entire Almighty Kilimanjaro team for helping me get there. Their care, professionalism and attention to detail exceeded my expectations at every stage. I felt looked after from the moment I booked until I returned from the mountain.
If you’re considering climbing Kilimanjaro, I couldn’t recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro highly enough. They made a challenging adventure feel supported, safe and truly special.

Everything about Almighty Kilimanjaro was spot on. From the early e-mail communications (very quick responses to questions) to the day to day organisation. It was faultless! We were all so well looked after - physical & mental wellbeing. Muntari was an excellent header who communicated well - talking & listening to our worries & concerns. All the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were very well looked after. Constantly reassured & encouraged. We trusted them completely. I would highly recommend them. We also enjoyed their company on the trek & back at the hotel & our day at the end visiting the markets.
An incredible and unforgettable Kilimanjaro Experience
I had the best experience with Almighty Kilimanjaro. Innocent, my chief guide, was an absolute legend and the reason I made it to the top! He was so encouraging, patient and determined to help me. I’ll always be grateful to him, and he’s genuinely a friend for life now.

Outstanding Care, Professionalism, and Safety First!
I recently completed (or rather, attempted!) the 7-day Machame Route with Almighty Kilimanjaro, and while I didn't reach the summit, my experience with the company was nothing short of exceptional.
Unfortunately, I had picked up a virus on my way into Tanzania and started the trek already coughing slightly. As we climbed higher, the cough exacerbated, and I began experiencing difficulty breathing and chest discomfort—early signs of High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE).
Throughout this, my chief guide, Shaffi, and assistant guide, Alex, were incredible. They monitored me closely, for example, checking my heart rate and
oxygen levels. When my cough flared up, Shaffi thoughtfully made me ginger tea to soothe it and carried my backpack to ease my load. They were endlessly encouraging, but more importantly, they knew when to prioritize safety over the summit.
As my breathing difficulties worsened, Shaffi made the crucial call: "Your life is more important than climbing the mountain. The mountain will always be there."
True to his word, he swiftly coordinated a rescue helicopter. The level of support didn't stop on the mountain: a ground crew was waiting for me as I landed, took me straight to a clinic for a medical check-up, and then safely transferred me to the hotel. Their professionalism, vigilance, and genuine compassion during a frightening medical emergency quite literally saved my life. Almighty Kilimanjaro operates with the highest standards of safety and care, and I cannot recommend Shaffi, Alex, and the entire team enough. If you are looking for a reliable, deeply empathetic trekking company that puts its climbers' well-being above all else, look no further than Almighty Kilimanjaro and ask for Shaffi and Alex.
Amazing tour amazing trip
I went on the machame tour with my mum! We ended up with just one other person which made the whole trip really focused on us which was great. The campsite was set up for us when we arrived every day. Ladi and Dennis were great tour guides. Ladi is very experienced on the mountain he was able to tell us everything we needed each day making the trip very stress free. Food was fresh and they gave us water everyday to drink and to wash which I didn’t expect but was definitely a bonus. Everything was sorted out for us as soon as we got to the airport which let us focus on enjoying our trip. 10/10 experience I would recommend this trip to anyone and to ask for Ladi because he really was an excellent guide, I wouldn’t have made it to the summit if not for him and his positivity. I’m so grateful we got him as our guide. Asante sana Ladi
