Highly recommend Tanzania Roadside
We just returned from a 10 day safari in Kenya and Tanzania with Tanzania Roadside and it truely was a trip of a lifetime. When I was planning it, Paul responded very quickly to all my questions and emails and their price was good compared to other companies. In Kenya, we were lucky to start out with Peter who drove us to Masai Mara, he was very knowledgeable and showed us some amazing animal sites including front row seats to the great wildebeast crossing. Then we crossed the boarder into Tanzania and was passed over to Ezekiel who was also very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. He was able to get us up close to so many of the animals and also got to see another wildebeast crossing. Thank You so much (asante sana) to the whole team for a wonderful trip and also a thank you to Ezekiel and Keffa for going out of your way to get our binoculars back to us that we left behind before we flew home.
Best two weeks of our lives thanks to Paul and his team!
We booked a 14-day Kenya/Tanzania trip with RoadsideTanzania (Amboseli, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, ending with a few days in Zanzibar), and it's genuinely one of the best trips we've ever taken and a lot of that comes down to Paul and Walter.
Paul owns the company and designed the whole thing around what we actually wanted rather than a standard package. He was quick to respond throughout the planning process, and when we asked to adjust a few things along the way, he just made it happen …no friction, no upsell, just "sure, here's how." He also arranged a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti that ended up being one of the best mornings of the trip.
Walter was our guide in the vehicle, and by day two it stopped feeling like a tour and started feeling like traveling with a friend who happened to know everything about the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Africa. He didn't wait for us to ask questions and half the time we didn't even know what to ask. He’d just start pointing things out and explaining what we were looking at. He found us the most amazing animals and not only knew the names of all of them (how, we will never know), he’d find them in a guide book so we could learn more. He knew exactly where to take us, and it showed: lions strolling right up to the car, leopards lounging in the tree, herds of wildlife...it was so amazing!!! He was patient, kind, sharp, funny, and made sure we never missed a thing. He took such great care of us crossing the boarder, ensuring we were settled with accommodations...he was incredible!
We closed out the trip flying to Zanzibar, where Paul had arranged a great Stone Town tour before we headed to the other side of the island to scuba dive the reef…positively outstanding, and the perfect way to end two weeks that had already given us so much.
Between Paul's planning and Walter's guiding, we never once felt like we were managing our own trip, rather someone had already thought everything. If you're considering Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, book it, you'll have no regrets.... and ASK FOR WALTER!! This was the trip of a lifetime traveling from Los Angeles to Africa and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything unfolded.

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
For the second week of July 2026 (followed by an extra week of beach vacation in Zanzibar), we had booked a private safari tour through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater National Parks with TANZANIA ROADSIDE EXPEDITIONS. Their CEO, Paul Justine, carefully planned and organized everything down to the last detail. We were assigned Anocell as our driver and guide, accompanied by his assistant and highly capable trainee, Alphonse. Their expertise regarding the landscapes and wildlife was truly profound. But what impressed us most of all was Anocell’s ability - thanks to his intuition and years of experience - to position his vehicle as close as possible to the wild animals, including the BIG FIVE. Of course, the car windows were closed for safety reasons; otherwise we could have almost touched them on many occasions. The absolute highlight among countless others was the zebra hunt by two lionesses that started right next to our Land Cruiser.
But on a personal level, too, this was a wonderful experience. Anocell and Alphonse were so friendly, helpful and supportive in every way. We met as strangers on the first day and said goodbye as friends on the last day. Thank you for everything !
If you’re ever planning to have such a unique experience we can highly recommend TANZANIA ROADSIDE EXPEDITIONS. Ask for Anocell or Alphonse as Guide / Driver !
A Story Comes True
A favorite bedtime story I told my daughter came true when we visited Tanzania and Kenya together. The elephants, zebras, lions, rhinos, and other animals I described nightly appeared right before us in our game truck! Along with my husband we enjoyed 12 days of exploration, delicious cuisine, authentic safari camps, and conversations ranging from wildlife behavior to local customs. We really enjoyed the company of our guides and the hospitality of everyone who made our trip memorable.
Amazing Safari experience
Amazing safari experience in Tanzania! Alphonse and James were exceptional — always on time, very gentle and professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals. They explained everything in detail and made the whole experience even more special and interesting. We felt safe, comfortable, and learned so much throughout the trip. Highly recommended!
