Great 5 day safari with Kenedy
We had a really great jam-packed tour with Safari Soles. They managed to take us to Tangirire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorogoro in the 5 days, so we got to see 3 really different landscapes. We really loved all the accommodations they put us up in and the hot lunches were a great touch. Kenedy was an amazing guide, always very friendly, reliable and upbeat and he took note of things we were interested in. The hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti was a really special experience and we would definitely recommend.
Trip of a Lifetime
Our trip with Safari Soles was excellent and exceeded our wildest expectations.
The biggest highlight of the trip was our guide, Silas. He was a fantastic driver, game guide, and companion during our trip - we felt completely safe with him, he was timely and polite, and his knowledge was invaluable. The trip wouldn’t have been the same without him, and I will be recommending him to any friends considering a safari.
We also enjoyed our tent lodgings during safari immensely. Safari Haven’s staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The sundowner they provided was a beautiful way to spend the evening. Our balloon safari with Adventures Aloft was perfect. The pilot, Hego, and the rest of the crew were so fun to fly with and we enjoyed this experience even more than we expected.
I understand that Mbuni is a new lodging option, and our night here was fantastic. Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time here - the location was gorgeous, the lodgings were luxurious, the food was the best we had on the trip, and the staff were friendly and kind. Additionally, it was the best shower of the whole trip and our escort to the tent at night spotted a leopard in the trees!
Tortillis Camp in Ngorongoro was perhaps the most beautiful location we camped in, and we had a wonderful time sitting by the fire and chatting with other guests. The Masai dance they performed at dinner was incredible to watch.
Our time in Zanzibar was relaxing, though we were sad to leave mainland Tanzania and Silas behind.
The cost for this trip felt extremely reasonable, especially considering the level of planning done on their behalf and the transportation, food and beverages included. I believe we had a combination of luck and traveling at off-peak times, but this vacation felt extremely private and luxurious and we found ourselves receiving VIP treatment frequently without paying VIP costs.
An unforgettable Tanzanian safari (Dec 28 – Jan 10)
Our safari in Tanzania from December 28 to January 10 was truly one of the most memorable experiences of our lives, and a big reason for that was the incredible team behind it.
From the very beginning, Douglas from Safari Soles was phenomenal. While we were still in the US, he helped us plan every detail of the trip with care and precision. He provided extremely helpful guidance on immigration, vaccinations, and entry requirements, and made sure all restrictions and logistics were handled smoothly. Thanks to Douglas, everything felt seamless and stress-free even before we landed in East Africa. The planning was thoughtful, thorough, and perfectly tailored.
Eric was the first person we met on the ground. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in Nairobi, and then drove us from Nairobi to Arusha, Tanzania. During the drive, he gave us our first real glimpse into East African life and culture. His warmth, stories, and local insights made the journey itself feel like part of the adventure.
And finally — and most importantly — Innocent Mushi, our guide and navigator. Innocent was simply extraordinary. Always kind, always smiling, and endlessly accommodating, he ensured we had the best safari experience we could have imagined. He handled a wide range of requests within our group effortlessly, always putting our comfort and safety first.
The vehicle was always spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. Innocent has an astonishing knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife — animals, birds, flora, and fauna — and could spot what felt impossible, like leopards hidden high in trees. He consistently positioned us at the best angles and viewpoints, made sure we were always well fed, and guided us with the confidence and expertise of someone who truly knows this land.
What stood out even more was his humanity. He often stopped to accommodate spontaneous requests not on our itinerary and even helped stranded passengers on the road, showing genuine kindness and care beyond his role. By the end of the trip, Innocent felt like family. I truly cannot recommend him highly enough — if you are doing a safari in Tanzania, you must work with Innocent Mushi.
After comparing notes with other travelers, we realized just how unique and exceptional our experience was.
Tanzania was recently voted the best safari destination in the world, and it’s easy to see why. We wholeheartedly recommend Safari Soles and are deeply grateful to their outstanding team — Douglas, Eric, and Innocent — for giving us an experience we will cherish forever.

Perfect Organization and very considerate
Our safari with Dickson was absolutely outstanding and exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, we felt extremely well taken care of. Dickson is an incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional guide who is clearly passionate about what he does.
Throughout the entire safari, he shared a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife, nature, and ecosystem. He also asked many questions to better understand our interests and consistently checked in to make sure our wishes and concerns were met. It truly felt like he was fully dedicated to providing us with the best possible safari experience.
One of the absolute highlights was that, thanks to his experience and great instincts, we were able to see all of the Big Five — an unforgettable experience. The nature, the tours, and the animal encounters were a clear 10/10.
The organization was also flawless: from the smooth airport pickup to all transfers and perfectly arranged meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all taken care of, so we didn’t have to worry about anything and could fully enjoy the safari.
We are incredibly grateful for this amazing experience and can wholeheartedly recommend Dickson as a safari guide. Anyone looking for a perfectly organized safari with a warm, knowledgeable, and dedicated guide will be in the best hands with him.
Relaxed and caring guide, beautiful tour.
This tour was more than we expected and a wholesome day out. Enock, our guide, was so caring and attentive, we fell in love with his easy-going, friendly nature. The waterfall hike was a beautiful way to start the day, then stopping on the way back to have the most engaging coffee experience with the boys at Materuni Village Coffee Hut. We learnt so much about the coffee bean process and had so much fun along the way, and had the BEST lunch we've had the whole trip! The boys there made us feel like family and I hope i can see them again some day. From there we had an 'African massage' as we drove through the villages out to the most beautiful, blue, hot spring I've ever seen. Kikuletwa Hot Springs are a serene, charming and refreshing oasis; perfect way to cool off and wrap up a fantastic day. Enock was the perfect host and we already miss him!
