Tanzania Safari: An Unexpectedly Wonderful Savannah Journey
My Tanzania Safari experience was exceptionally great, and much of it was thanks to our guide Mustapha. He was warm and thoughtful—he not only offered to help with luggage and adjust the seats in the car but also kindly recommended rest spots with good views, making the whole trip very comfortable.
His driving skills were reliable too. The dirt roads on the savannah are inherently bumpy, yet the ride in his car was always smooth. Even when he accelerated a little to track animals, there was no need to worry at all. Along the way, he also shared many stories about the Maasai people, from the meaning of their traditional clothing to the unique customs in their tribes, which gave us a deeper understanding of the local culture.
The most pleasant surprises came from the two unforgettable scenes he accurately led us to witness. One was the spectacular sight of wildebeests crossing the Mara River—herds of wildebeests wading through the water, creating a stunning view. The other was that he helped us spot all the "Big Five" throughout the trip; every encounter filled us with excitement. This journey became especially fulfilling because of him.
