An Unforgettable Safari Experience in the Serengeti — Big Five in Just Two Days!

We had an absolutely incredible two days in the Serengeti. In such a short time, we spotted all of the Big Five and witnessed massive herds of migrating zebras and wildebeest, a truly breathtaking sight we’ll never forget.

Our guide Barnaba made the whole experience. He was proactive, knowledgeable, always sharing fascinating insights into animal behavior and finding the perfect angle for us to observe and photograph.

Highly recommend Barnaba, you’re in great hands with him!

Godian and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, and responsive when planning a safari suited to your individual needs.

We had the pleasure of spending the week with our guide, Pius. His knowledge of the animal habitats and behaviors, park ecosystems, and history and cultures of the area were remarkable, and made our trip exceptional. We saw everything we could have imagined! Pius made us feel very safe, and well taken care of, and was simply delightful to spend the week with.

We highly recommend Serengeti Smile, and can’t wait to return again someday.

We had an absolutely unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania, visiting Serengeti, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater.

The entire trip was very reliable and exceptionally well organized from start to finish. Our guide, Libe, was very friendly, highly professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Thanks to his practical experience and deep understanding of the wildlife and national parks, he always brought us to the best locations where we could observe many animals up close. He also shared fascinating information about the animals, their behavior, and the parks, which made the experience even more enriching.

Throughout the safari, we always felt safe and well taken care of with our guide. His expertise, driving skills, and attention to detail gave us complete confidence at all times.

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all our expectations. We would highly recommend this safari to anyone looking for an amazing wildlife adventure in Tanzania.

Recognizing that I was struggling with severe jetlag, Champion made an unscheduled stop at a local pharmacy right at the start of our trip to ensure I could get the medication I needed to recover. That simple, incredibly thoughtful gesture set the tone for the entire safari—he genuinely cares for the well-being of his guests. In and out of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, Champion completely lived up to his name: * **Master of the Land and Wildlife:** His knowledge of the local ecosystem, animal behaviors, and tracking is unmatched. He didn't just point out animals; he taught us how to read the landscape and truly understand the environment. Champion’s empathy isn't reserved just for his paying guests. At one point during our drive, we passed a fellow tour guide who had been stopped on the trail. Instead of driving past him to save time, Champion immediately paused to check on him, ensuring he was safe and asked if he needed any mechanical or logistical help.

We recently went in a safari and decided to go with Serengeti Smile based on reviews we read across all platforms (Safari Bookings, Google and Trip Advisor. It can be overwhelming because there are a TON of local companies to choose from but when I reached out to a few Serengeti Smile was extremely prompt and very informative. Godian was very efficient in getting an itinerary put together and kept in touch and answered all questions up until the day we arrived. I also got to meet Godian which was a pleasure. Thanks again for everything Godian.

We were assigned Champion for our safari itinerary. Champion was absolutely AMAZING. He was extremely informative and I'm so glad we were paired with him for our safari. He always paid attention to any ask we had and made sure we were taken care of. He was an expert in navigating us through our trip and knew a lot of great places to get some excellent photos. He took the time to make sure we got plenty of photos and saw everything we could possibly see, and more. We were able to see the Big 5 which was really cool. Aside from all of that, the two things that stuck out to me the most about Champion was his unselfishness and kindness to others. When another truck was on the side of the road with the hood up, Champion stopped to make sure they were okay. When we had our lunches on our game drives, we were never able to eat all the food, so instead of wasting it, he gave it to others to eat. Champion is a man of great character, and anyone I ever refer to Serengeti Smile for their safari back in the United States, I will make sure they request Champion to be their driver. Thank you for everything Champion! We really had a great time and appreciate everything you did for us.
