Best photography trip ever
Excellent trip. I went for a photography trip and had the best time. My guide, Toshi, was the best. I've done Kenya and had 3 different guides, Toshi was the best one I had as a photography focused traveler. He is a birder and does photography too so he really helped get me into the best positions and see the best behaviors. I saw two hunts (one successful), three babies, one birth, all the cats, lions fighting, leopard with prey, so much more. If you go, I highly recommend the modified photography truck.

An Unforgettable 6-Day Adventure with Loren Africa Safaris
An Unforgettable 6-Day Adventure with Loren Africa Safaris
If you are looking for a seamless, exhilarating, and deeply professional safari experience, look no further than Loren African Safaris. We recently completed a 6-day expedition, and the planning and execution were quite simply, flawless.
From the moment we landed, it was clear that every detail had been meticulously thought out. However, what truly transformed this trip from a "vacation" into a "once-in-a-lifetime experience" was our incredible guide and driver, Ally, and also the main reason we highly recommend them.
* Expert Spotting Skills: Our guide had a legendary "eagle eye." We saw things we never would have noticed on our own—camouflaged leopards, distant prides, and rare birds—all thanks to his deep knowledge of the terrain and animal behavior. We also spotted the black rhino, an endangered species, all thanks to Ally's observation amidst a hundred zebras surrounding one of the 74 rhinos in the whole of Serengeti!
* Safety & Comfort: Driving conditions in the bush can be challenging, but we always felt completely secure. He was an exceptionally skilled driver—smooth, steady, and mindful of our comfort over every bump, not only in the jungles but also across towns and main roads.
* Professionalism & Character: It is rare to find someone so consistently punctual, honest, and polite. He was always there with a smile before our scheduled departure, and his integrity made us feel at ease throughout the journey. A good conversationalist, Ally made it easier for us to enjoy his company on everyday matters as well as our many questions which he answered very patiently.
* The "Extra Mile": He didn't just drive us from point A to point B; he anticipated our needs. Whether it was finding the perfect shade for a bush lunch or adjusting the itinerary to ensure we were in the best position for a sighting, his dedication to our experience was unmatched.
From a planning and selecting properties/parks - I would suggest you do your research.
Loren African Safaris delivered exactly what they promised and then some. They take the stress out of the logistics so you can focus entirely on the magic of the wild.
Don’t hesitate—book with them. You won’t regret it!

An immersive Tanzanian safari that went far beyond the Big Five to reveal the ecosystem and culture
Before my trip to Tanzania, I thought it would be all about spotting the Big Five—lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo. And sure, we saw them all by the second day. But what I didn’t expect was how much more the land would offer beyond those iconic animals.
Traveling in February meant we were lucky enough to see plenty of newborn animals—something you miss in the peak dry season of July and August. That alone became one of the most heartwarming parts of the journey. We also checked off the Ugly Five, and yes, hyenas absolutely earn their place on that list. On our fourth day in Ndutu, after more than two hours of patient waiting, we witnessed a hunt in real time. It wasn’t just luck—it was the skill of our guide, Ben. His years of experience, deep understanding of animal behavior, and ability to anticipate the wild made moments like these possible. He gave us a front-row seat to nature in its purest form.
While many come to Africa for the Big Five, I now realize it’s one of the best places on earth to experience an entire ecosystem. Ben didn’t just point out animals—he opened up a whole world. He shared Tanzania’s history, geography, and culture, introduced us to the Maasai people, and taught us to notice the smaller wonders: vervet monkeys, baboons (Rafiki from The Lion King!), oxpeckers, dung beetles, European rollers, white-throated bee-eaters, and so many others. He even taught us how to tell male and female giraffes apart—older males go bald on their heads from fighting, just like humans! And by the end, I could finally tell the difference between all those antelopes.
We had compared prices with 14 different safari companies before making our choice. Looking back, it was absolutely the right decision. The value was outstanding, and the service and meals went far beyond what we’d imagined.
It’s been nearly a month since we returned, but whenever I scroll through my photos or replay the videos, I can almost hear the rumble of the safari car and feel the wind rushing through the open vehicle. I close my eyes and I’m right back there—driving across the plains, surrounded by nothing but wonder and the feeling of complete freedom.

Excellent trip with Loren
Our experience with Loren African Safaris was excellent. If I could give it more stars, I would. From the very beginning, they handled all the organization efficiently and answered all our questions. Our guide, Ally, was fantastic; he taught us everything during the tour and went out of his way to find the animals we wanted to see (we saw them all—it was incredible!). The food was also delicious. We spent five full days on safari with them, and they also took care of organizing our visit to Zanzibar. We even had a problem with an airline that lost our luggage, and Loren personally came to Arusha airport to intervene and try to help us (even though he wasn't obligated to, as it wasn't his responsibility). We highly recommend this company. It's also important to support local businesses. We are Argentinians and we are very happy with this trip.

Incredible
We did our safari with Loren African Safari in early March. From the beginning, they handled all the organization efficiently and answered all our questions very quickly. Our guide, Ally, was incredible, very professional, with extensive knowledge of the parks and attentive to our needs. He showed us everything during the tour, providing information and answering our questions, and he went out of his way to make our experience memorable. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara, a total of five full days of safari. They also took care of organizing our three-day trip to Zanzibar and the return flight to Kilimanjaro. We had a problem with an airline that canceled our flight, and Loren contacted us immediately to offer alternatives. Our luggage was also lost, and Loren personally came to Arusha airport to intervene and try to help us, as the service from the airport and airline was very poor. We highly recommend this company if you're planning a safari in Tanzania, as they will do their utmost to ensure your experience meets or exceeds your expectations. It's also important to emphasize the need to support local businesses to ensure sustainable safari tourism.
