Exceptional Safari Experience with Alex – Lapwing Safaris Kenya

Our 8-day safari with Alex was outstanding. He was not only punctual and professional, but always one step ahead, ensuring to take us to the best spots to see nature at its most magical – from simply watching birds at a watering hole to driving out early to catch lions lounging on the roads.

His extensive knowledge of wildlife, especially birds, greatly enriched our experience. He was also incredibly patient, giving us time to absorb the scenery and quietly observe the wildlife at our own pace. Safety was his top priority, and he genuinely cared for our well-being, including when we faced a small health emergency.

He conducted game drives with deep respect for nature and the animals. Not least of all, Alex is truly great company – we enjoyed chatting to him about wildlife and Kenya immensely both out on game drives and on the long roadtrips between parks.

If you're looking for a top-tier safari guide, Alex is the one to ask for!

We had the pleasure of spending 4 days on Safari with Alex who turned out to be a superb recommendation through friends. From the first planning phase, Alex was fast to respond, helped us choose the park, taking our onward journey plans into account, pointing out dis/advantages of optional lodges based on our preferences and budget. Alex was always punctual, a very safe driver on the busy roads, knowledgeable of the areas we visited, and made our trip a very memorable one. During the days in the park, Alex accommodated our interest to start the days very early, was never in a rush to return to the lodge and gave his best efforts to maximise our time in the bush and to find the best animal sightings. We cannot recommend Alex enough!

The rangers were recommended to us by a colleague residing in Nairobi. All went excellent (from timely pick up till drop off back at the hotel); both Nicholas and Michael were helpful and very knowledgeable so I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!

Lapwing Safaris is the best. They are effective, they plan well in advance and make you feel comfortable and treat you with royalty. The guide has both personality traits and professional skills which makes him shine in his profession. His enthusiasm, communication skills and outgoing traits really delighted me and my family. He is punctilious in handling his tourists. In one of the many trips that we did with this company and had a small crisis, he showed his ingenuity in handling that issue and did all that he could to obviate any more hiccups with the hotel. I would recommend Lapwing Safaris to anyone.

I recently had the pleasure of going on a Safari, and it exceeded all my expectations, thanks to our exceptional tour guide - Alex. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing.
Punctuality was another strong suit of our guide. Every day was carefully planned to maximize our experience, and Alex was always on time, ensuring we could take full advantage of the day’s activities. His precise timing meant we never felt rushed, yet we also didn’t waste any valuable moments.
Our guide’s knowledge of the area was outstanding. He knew exactly where to go for the best wildlife sightings, often taking us off the beaten path to avoid the crowds. His recommendations on the best locations were spot on, allowing us to witness some truly breathtaking scenes in a serene environment of the big five.
As an avid photographer, I was particularly impressed by our guide’s expertise in finding the best spots for capturing the wildlife in their natural habitat. He had an incredible eye for detail, ensuring we were always in the right place at the right time to get the perfect shot. Whether it was the golden hour or an unexpected wildlife sighting, he made sure we didn’t miss a thing.
What really stood out, however, was Alex’s humility and genuine passion for what he does. He was always approachable, never hesitating to share his knowledge or listen to our requests. His humble demeanor and dedication to making our safari unforgettable made the experience all the more special.
Overall, this safari was an unforgettable journey, made even better by a guide who was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I highly recommend Lapwing Safaris to anyone looking for an authentic and well-organized African Safari.
