We booked a two day safari, tarangire and crater for a special belated 12th birthday trip for one of our group.
Having lived in Arusha for a number of years my friend Erik Mike recommended wildlife experience Tanzania. And they didn’t disappoint.
We had Calvin as our tour guide and he was fab in every way. We were a group of four girls/women, so he for sure had his hands full as the trip was all about celebration and animals. He was knowledgeable and ensured we had everything we needed at all times.
As mentioned we were in Tanzania as a belated birthday trip for one of our group who is animal obsessed. This was a special trip she has been dreaming of for a long time, she has a special trip folder for all her keep sakes, including a spotters book. Unfortunately she left all her bits and bobs in the truck. But wildlife experience Tanzania went above and beyond to get this back to her. With 3 hours to spare before we had to leave our lodge for our flight home, Calvin dropped our stuff off at the office and then the belongings were delivered to our lodge. I cannot thank the team enough for making this trip everything and more and ensuring these memories will last forever for our birthday girl with the experiences and ensuring her memory folder was returned before we left.

Davies provisies swift responses to all my questions. The price was very reasonable and most important: The Safari was amazing. The Ngorongoro Carter was very impressive and on our first day in Tarangire we spotted 4 out of 5 Big Five (we only missed the Rhino)

Steve was excellent
We were very lucky to have Steven as our guide. Everyone in my family adored him. Steve is an expert in birds, but his over 20 years of acquired expertise covers a wide variety of African animals. We were truly delighted to find so many animals in a relatively short Safari (6 days). We went to Tangire, the Serengeti Plain, and Ngorongoro Crater, and in that short trip, we were able to see 1) a cheetah hiding in the tall grass, 2) a lioness cleaning her three cubs in the tall grass (my daughter’s favorite) & a lioness stalking and Killing a warthog (my favorite because it felt like a National Geographic movie in real life) and 3) a leopard sitting in a tree after a kill, and 4) several buffalo. All told, we saw four of the five “Big Five” Tanzanian animals! We saw many others but those four were definitely on the top of our wish list!
In addition, all through the Safari, Steve pointed out birds we had never seen before. The man might just know the name of every single bird in Tanzania! He would stop and show us beautiful birds I'd never seen before in my life. It felt like I was taking a college level class in ornithology. We weren’t bird experts but we definitely became interested in bird watching after taking this safari with Steve. He is an all around excellent guide!

It was incredible Safari experience. From the moment we arrived everything was perfectly organised, seamless logistics, comfortable accommodations, and most importantly, the breathtaking game drives. Our guide professionalism, attention to details, and deep knowledge of the wildlife and landscapes truly made this journey unforgettable. Special thanks to our guide Steven whose knowledge, sharp eye and insightful commentary were really amazing. We learned so much and felt safe and well cared for every step on the way. Reliable, passionate and communicative.
We had arranged a two day fly in safari from Zanzibar to the Tarangire national park and to the Ngorongoro crater.
The communication with Davies beforehand was fantastic. No question was too much!
Everything was organised seamlessly and efficiently. We were very lucky to spot many rare animals and saw four out of the big five. (Definitely an incentive to come back)
Abdallah, our guide and driver, was knowledgeable and his 22 years of experience really shone through.
The parks themselves were stunning and it truly was a movie-like experience.
The choice of lodge was also superb.
Overall, I believe the value for money was very good and would highly recommend this tour operator.
