Excellent Safari Experience

When planning my vacation in Southern Africa I came across the 10-day Botswana Safari offered by African Family. As it fitted my itinerary I pursued the inquiry with them. I was very pleased with the information provided and attentive communication by the team. At all stages of the booking process and throughout the trip the communication was flawless.
As the Safari, 3 x 3 nights at different lodges, started in Maun I arrived a day earlier and individually booked a guesthouse in Maun. The pick-up was then done from there. In retrospect it gave me an extra night in Botswana and time to wind down before the safari started (also in case there were flight issues etc.).
The selected lodges were all different, but great in their own respect. The transfers were all executed as planned.
I had a great time, excellent bird and game sightings, and met a lot of very nice people.
I can wholeheartedly recommend African Family Safaris.

The best experience from start to finish!

From the start of our holiday search we have had a great experience. Lisa and Nadine pointed us gently in the right direction for our specific needs and they were absolutely on the money and reassured us at every point. Once in South Africa it was fantastic to have communication with them, mainly to tell them how wonderful it was and to share photos but also to make transfers and timings etc easy to organise. Everything was smooth and our Safari experience in both Pilanesberg and Madikwe was absolutely perfect. We stayed at Lush Private Lodge and The Last Word respectively and both in different ways were sublime! We would definitely return to either place and if we do, we would not hesitate in contacting Lisa and Nadine to help us with our plans.
After our Safari we decided to fly to Cape Town where we had organised our own accommodation which was a mistake as it was substandard and we had a stressful time changing location. Lisa and Nadine were so kind and offered their support and help without hesitation and even came to our new accommodation with a bottle of wine for us!! Amazing and very sweet. We took the tour to Cape Point whilst we were there and to see the penguins which was well organised and a great way to see those iconic places.
All in all we were very happy with our choice to use African Family Safaris. We felt safe and relaxed and loved every moment. Thank you!

We went on a 10-day trip through Botswana with African Family Safaris and were completely thrilled. The trip was perfectly organized from start to finish – we didn't have to worry about a thing and were able to enjoy the safari to the fullest.
The lodges were excellently chosen: beautifully located, comfortable, and ideal for experiencing Botswana's nature up close. Each accommodation had its own charm and fit perfectly with the respective region.
The very friendly, warm, and personal staff – both in the lodges and in the organization – deserve special mention. We felt welcome and well looked after at all times.
Overall, it was an extraordinary trip that even exceeded our expectations. We can wholeheartedly recommend African Family Safaris and would travel with them again anytime.

My husband and I chose South Africa and Zimbabwe for our honeymoon - beyond a few sights and safari, we hadn't put much research into it. We wanted a care free luxury holiday where every little detail from airport pick ups to hotel reservations was taken care of. We simply spoke to Gareth at Africa Family Safaris to explain a little bit about ourselves and what we were looking for. He created a custom package for us, much better than we would have created ourselves. There were also a couple of times when we asked Gareth if we could swap accommodation to XYZ and he gave us his expert opinion on why we shouldn't. Of course, he turned out to be right and provided us with the expertise we wanted.
Once everything was booked, Nadine helped us with restaurant recommendations and reservations. Every detail was taken care of and ran smoothly - in addition to being our honeymoon, it was also my husband's birthday - unbeknownst to us, there were a few surprises at every stage!
Thank you African Family Safaris for an incredible honeymoon - we will undoubtedly be back for more of Africa!
