Everything is possible
5/5

We spent a wonderful holiday with this company.
The only company I have found with the opportunity to visit safaris in both tanzania and kenya.
These guys arrange everything for you if you let them know in good time, and I mean really EVERYTHING!
As we were in Zanzibar John arranged a flight from Zanzibar, then we visited the Serengeti with an amazing overnight stay in the middle of the park and then Ngorongoro Crater the next day.
By then we had already scored a BIG 5 after day 2.
Later from Arusha we went to Amboseli Park in Kenya, this is the best place in Africa to see Kilimanjaro in all its glory but remember you have to be there very early or at sunset because for most of the day the mountain is hidden behind clouds. Nonetheless, we managed to spot a beautiful snowy peak in the Savanah landscape.

Later we flew out of Nairobi. And all this in 4 days as for us the perfect time.
If I were to repeat any trip in Africa, it would be with them! They know their stuff and are mega nice.
In addition, the meals in between the tours are prepared by them and taste great!

Thank you so much to Irene and to guide Joseph for an incredible 10 days.
5/5

This was a fabulous safari - we could not have asked for better planning, lodging, game drives and guides. It was miles more than we expected and was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you so much to Irene and to guide Joseph for an incredible 10 days. You both are the BEST! We saw so much and none of it would have happened without John. They are fantastic!

That was really amazing!
5/5

We visited Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, and the Serengeti, all of which had the most amazing lodgings imaginable. This journey taught us a lot of lessons. Which lodging establishment should we choose? Since they are all so dissimilar, which is the greatest choice? When would be a good time to go? How many evenings ought we to spend at each place? The smaller details—distances, bush aircraft, packing lists, and travel dates—are crucial when organizing a fantastic safari. We wholeheartedly endorse Royal Tiger Safaris and Tours.

I highly recommend a safari with them,
5/5

Rogers the Safari manager is hands down one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met traveling. He is as kind, trustworthy, and helpful as they come.

I wish I could jump on a plane and be back in Tanzania! Royal Tiger Tours and safaris is the best! Our safari was amazing and truly life-changing. Their love for the land and animals was evident, and we learned so much. I highly recommend a safari with them, and I would go again in an instant!

Wonderful experience!
5/5

We had booked a 5 day safari which was wonderful.
John is always quickly available and answers the questions and tries to find a suitable solution for everything.

For example, we were not thrilled with the lunch on the first day of the safari. After consulting with John, we had very tasty and warm lunch menus from day 2 until the end of the safari. We even got an overnight upgrade in Serengeti for a newer lodge.

As a tip, look at the accommodations in advance and if you are not satisfied, or have concerns then just contact John directly. He will find a solution for sure.

I would also like to mention our guide Emmanuel who made our 5 day safari tour even more special.

The best service and safari!
5/5

What can I say? John offered the best safari we could find after such a long time I was trying to make it happen! We did Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro and John tried his best to find the perfect accommodations for me for the whole safari and to do the activities exactly as I asked. Also with regard to the cost!! The guide he gave us for the safari was amazing, Joshua. Professional, certified, and prepared!! We saw all the big fives and many others (including flamingos!!) but more importantly, the tour was very educational as we could have explanations of the animal's behaviors which we appreciated a lot!! John also arranged the Zanzibar services and excursions which I required for my stay on the island and they were all very well handled! He was always there to reply to all my questions and he also took us personally on a tour of the Chemka hot springs and to visit a local coffee farm which we really appreciated! Thank you so much John for this fantastic experience! Waiting for you in Rome!

Value for the money but late change of the first lodge.
4/5

We booked the safari online and I had a very good communication with John about all my questions before we came to Tanzania. We had the 4 day safari (3 nights) in Tarangire, Serengeti and last day in the Ngorongoro crater. The safari guide was very experienced and we got to see so many different animals including the big 5! So I will really say we got value for the money.
The first thing that lower our rating is that the first night lodge was changed one day before the safari started but later when we arrived to the lodge it was changed again to a third one that we had not heard about before. The lodge was nice but not what we booked and paid for. The second thing that lower the rate was the standard of the safari jeep. There was not seatbelt on all chairs and no head rests. Which we really missed on the bumpy gravel roads during the safari. We were compensated by John when our flight changed in the last minute to another airport and another time and he arranged the transfer without any extra cost.
It was not possible to pay the safari with card but John helped us to go to a bank for cash withdrawal.

Great safari
4/5

We booked the mid range 2 day safari package (Tarangire and Ngorongoro) and it cost $800pp. This was my first time booking a safari and I didn’t even know where to start! I found this company through safari bookings, an online safari finder company, which helped. I was in regular communication via email with John, which also helped out my mind at ease. We paid $800 via card using pesapal and also had to pay 5% surcharge taking the total to $840, we paid the remaining $800 in cash when we arrived. Our arrival flight was changed to an earlier time and John was able to arrange a driver to come and pick us up from Arusha airport.

Day 0- we stayed at Green mountain hotel, which is a 3 star hotel; I’ve written a separate review for this. John met us at the hotel and gave us a briefing about the plan for the safari, including start times; we also paid him the remaining $800 and were introduced to our driver, Frank.

Day 1- after breakfast we met Frank at reception and started our 2hr drive to Tarangire. The jeep had a cooler, which was stocked with water (we had an allowance of 3L/day per person, which was fine as I usually drink around 2L/day). Frank kept us informed of things/pointed things out to us during the journey to Tarangire. Animals we saw during our safari: zebras, lions, pumbas, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, giraffe, baboons, a leopard was spotted by someone but we didn’t actually see it. We then stopped off at the picnic site to have our packed lunch and it was delicious, especially the samosa and chicken! After lunch we continued the safari for a few more hours and saw more animals. After the safari we stopped off at a local shop where we were able to browse and buy souvenirs if we wanted; I bought some earrings and an Africa wooden plaque….they are open to haggling but don’t take the micky!

We were then taken to our 2nd night accommodation, Fig tree lodge, where we had dinner. I have written a separate review for this. When we originally booked our safari package, it was for marera valley lodge but after we had paid the deposit John emailed to say the accommodation was fully booked and that he will book country lodge instead, which I agreed. However when we arrived at the first hotel John told us that he had booked fig tree lodge instead, which he said was very similar to marera valley (I’ll have to take his word but from the research I had done online, marera valley and country lodge seemed to be much better so I was a bit disappointed as fig tree definitely felt more budget than mid-range).

Day 2- Ngorongoro- very early start, 5am breakfast and left the lodge at 5.30am and arrived at Ngorongoro around 7.30am. Animals we saw- bush buffaloes, zebra, wildebeest, jackal, lions, rhino and a leopard! After our game drive we stopped off at the crater viewing place to take some pics then we headed out of the park and had our prepared lunch at a local shop/restaurant. The lunch was rice, chicken and vegetables and it was YUMMY! After lunch we headed back to Arusha airport.

This was my first safari and all in all it was a great experience. John was helpful with the initial booking and questions and Frank was helpful for his knowledge during our safari. I would use this company again but I would definitely opt for a more luxury accommodation next time and ask for confirmation that the advertised accommodation is available before paying the deposit. Or perhaps I will arrange my own accommodation and use them for the game drives as this is the part I most enjoyed.
