Our safari was an unforgettable adventure—and we owe it all to our incredible guide, Dickson. From the very first moment, it was clear we were in expert hands. Dickson wasn’t just knowledgeable—he was genuinely passionate, warm-hearted, and had an extraordinary talent for spotting wildlife.
Thanks to him, we saw the Big Five within the first two days, but what made the experience truly special was the way he brought the landscape to life. His stories, insights into animal behavior, and deep connection to nature made every drive feel magical.
Dickson made us feel completely safe and cared for while fully immersing us in the wild. His humor, dedication, and love for the land were infectious. He went out of his way to ensure we had the best views, captured the perfect photos, and created memories we’ll treasure forever.

Professional, friendly and accommodating
Honestly, we had one of the best times of our lives! Our guide, John Papa, made the safari experience fun, meaningful, and truly memorable. We’re so glad we chose Axis and would 100% recommend them. The accommodation was fabulous too—actually better than we expected. Great value for money. Everyone was so lovely and friendly.

Ideal family safari in breathtaking Kenya
From the initial booking communication to our final farewell with Captain Khalifa, our experience with Axis Africa Safari has been seamless, professional, and one where they continually went the "extra mile."
They accommodated our family of 5 (kids preteen and teens) on the private, midrange accommodation at a great value for the price. Axis took care of everything: hotels, airport pickup, itinerary, special requests, even provided us with t-shirts upon arrival which was a fun souvenir.
The game drives with eagle-eyed Captain Khalifa were spectacular. With 15 years of safaris under his belt, he made the safari unforgettable for us while we saw male lions snacking on a giraffe in Masai Mara, a black rhino mother and daughter grazing and hyena feeding her newborns in Nakuru and a fish eagle swoop down for his lunch in Naivasha. Khalifa was full of information about the animals and plants and kept up his congenial character with park rangers, other guides, locals, and answering the millions of questions we peppered him with!
Thanks, Axis Africa, for making this memorable trip so easy -- we just showed up and you did the rest!

We went with Axis with Khalifa as our tour guide, Trip was relaxing, easy and exciting!
Our Tour Guide, Khalifa, was amazing; he was very friendly, energetic, and knew everything about all of the animals we saw. He could tell what animals were around based on how the zebras were behaving! Axis made our safari very easy, and we had to do minimal work (checking in and out of hotels, etc). I would highly recommend Khalifa as a tour guide because he was able to find rare sightings like leopards and lions when no other tour guides could. We had an amazing experience with Khalifa, and I would highly recommend Khalifa and Axis for your safari!

Best quality / price ratio !
The tour was amazing. The tour was exactly as described in the website.
Our driver Denis did a wonderful job and gave us the most amazing experience during the game drives.
The accommodation has plugs in the tent which is a huge plus to charge phones and batteries, the light turns off around 10:30pm so you have more than enough time to charge your devices.
The food is good, repetitive but expected for the price paid.
I would 100% recommend going through Axis for your Safari!

Hi Monica, yes of course! I had a fantastic time.
Yasin was a great guide from start to finish. Providing us with valuable information about the animals and the land that we never knew before. He entertained our enthusiasm to explore the land and find as many animals as possible. We were able to spot the big five which we were so happy about!
Communication was great with the company from the first message, until the day we left. I think it was fantastic value for money. I always thought Safari was an expensive trip to take, and that it would cost a lot of money, but this trip was very affordable and the quality was not effected by the price at all.
In terms of the accommodation, Jambo Mara had a beautiful, large room with fantastic views and quiet surroundings. However there was no hot water in the room for the 2 days we spent there. The food options were not great and we found ourselves only eating rice and bread for the entire stay.
Lake Nakuru lodge was beautiful, amazing views and the staff were very helpful, and wanted us to have the best time while we were there. They could tell that we were very hungry and excited for tasty food and they provided exactly that.
The room was not great at first, we had to ask to be moved to another room, as the showerhead was broken, and we were also attached to another room (via a door) that was also being occupied and we could hear the other occupants.
They moved us to another room which was much better.
Overall, we are very happy with our trip with Axis Safari, we had an adventure of a lifetime that we will cherish forever.

Great Final of Africa with Axis and Geeman!
Spend 8 month in Africa and a lot of Safaris (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Tansania and Uganda). I always missed a Cheetah in my Collection. Geeman, the guide from Axis Africa promised my we will see one on Masai Mara. I was 3 times close to see one before, but always unlucky. Geeman kept his promised and we saw one! Very happy. Overall a great Game Drive. 10/10!!! Would even consider to go again because price value was great.
Amazing experience
This was an amazing experience! Yasin was an excellent tour guide and was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He ensured we got the most out of our trip and had lots on knowledge to share while on the game drives. An experience I will never forget!
