Great experience with Colours
5/5

We had a wonderful safari experience with Colours Africa. The entire trip was well organized and thoughtfully arranged.

A special thank you to Jemesina for her excellent communication and patience in arranging our itinerary, answering all our questions, and accommodating our requests.

We are also very grateful to our guides:
• Maurice in Masai Mara, who was knowledgeable and made the experience truly memorable.
• Japhet in Tanzania, who was patient, kind, and tried very hard at Ngorongoro to help us spot rhinos.
• Frank, who took care of us on the last day, driving us safely to the airport and even lending us his phone to make local calls when ours had issues.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend Colours Africa for anyone planning a safari.

I highly recommend Colours Africa and will definitely choose them again!
5/5

Our trip from Kenya to Tanzania with Colours Africa was amazing! Everything was well organized from start to finish.

In Kenya, our guide Moris was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw and learned a lot about the animals. In Tanzania, Jephet was just as great—organized, friendly, and knew so much about the wildlife.

We had an unforgettable safari experience and felt really well taken care of. I highly recommend Colours Africa and will definitely choose them again!

Terrible, unprofessional and unsafe
1/5

Colour Africa Tours is a not a genuine company from our experience. Not only do they rip you off, but they also treat international travelers poorly and inhumanely. Where do I begin?

Firstly, the safari van was wet and moldy, with a drink cabinet that had large black mold, and the drinks offered were not cold. We were charged an exorbitant amount for the safari, and despite providing our food preferences, we were never offered any food.

To make matters worse, our tour attempted to extort more money from us by holding two solo female travelers captive, causing us to miss our flights to our next destination. Even though we paid for beach tours in Zanzibar and a visit to Stonetown, we were informed once in the country that the beach tours would cost additional money.

At that point, we decided to avoid any further contact with them. Not only are they unprofessional, but this situation is also unsafe. I have reported this locally here in the UK.

Amazing safari experience!
5/5

I had an amazing 11-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania with Colours Africa Tours. The itinerary was perfect – we got to see so many different parks, each with its own feel: flamingos and rhinos at Lake Nakuru, big cats in the Masai Mara, the wildebeest river crossing in the Serengeti, elephants in Tarangire, and incredible views of Kilimanjaro in Amboseli. Every day brought something new.

Our guides, Felix and Derick, made the trip unforgettable. They were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely fun to travel with. They had an incredible eye for spotting animals and always seemed to know exactly where to go for the best sightings. I really appreciated how much effort they put into making sure we were comfortable and having a great time.

The lodges and camps were all well chosen – comfortable, welcoming, and right in the middle of nature. Falling asleep to the sounds of the bush and waking up with animals outside was surreal.

This trip was a dream come true and I’d recommend Colours Africa Tours, and especially Felix and Derick, to anyone thinking of doing a safari.

Great Company and Fantastic Safari
5/5

We had an amazing trip! From the initial planning through the end of our trip the communication from the office and our guides was excellent. We had 3 guides at different portions of the trip / countries and all were great. We spent the most time with Mustafa. He was incredibly kind, answered all of our questions well, and gave us interesting information about all the places and animals we saw. We highly recommend this trip and Colours Africa to others!

An unforgettable safari adventure!
5/5

We recently returned from an incredible safari adventure through Kenya and Tanzania, and we cannot recommend Colours of Africa enough! From start to finish, everything was absolutely seamless, professional, and perfectly tailored for an unforgettable experience.

We had high expectations going into this trip, and they were exceeded at every turn. The jeeps were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for long game drives & transfers. We had one vehicle in Kenya and another in Tanzania, both in excellent condition with amazing drivers who made the rides both safe and fun.

The guides were, without a doubt, the heart of the trip. Exceptionally knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about the wildlife and landscapes, they made every day fascinating. We learned so much – not just about the animals, but also about the cultures and traditions of each region. Their ability to spot animals and position us for the best views (and photos!) was simply incredible.

The itinerary was perfectly organized. Every park we visited – from the Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti – offered something unique and breathtaking. We saw all the big five up close and so many other interesting and unusual animals too, we spotted every single one we wanted and more! We were also lucky enough to see many hunts including cheetahs and lions hunting.

Another highlight: the food! We were genuinely impressed by the quality of all the meals, especially lunches – both the packed ones on the road and at the lodges.

We wanted to go on a safari for a long time and it exceeded our expectations. We’re so grateful to Colours of Africa for their care, expertise and hospitality. If you're considering a safari, we can’t recommend the Colours team highly enough!

The experience was beyond memorable. It changed us. Thank you Colours of Africa.
5/5

My husband and I (mid-30s) just returned from a nearly 2-week trip to Tanzania completely organized by Colours of Africa. We've never trusted another party to organize everything or do an ''all-inclusive'' but the price was right and they talked to us every step of the way making sure to include every stop we wanted. We were so impressed with the communication and the level of trust.

A large portion of our trip was spent on safari in an incredible jeep totally outfitted like in the movies. We had cold water and binoculars provided with a pop-top roof, making us feel ready to see it all...and we did!! Our guide Norton knew everything (really!) about all the animals and nature we encountered. We saw the entire collection of the big 5 (yes, including the elusive Rhino!). He never used a gps. He KNEW those back routes like the back of his hand and could answer our many questions about nature, culture and Tanzania as a country. Every night, he would wipe down that dusty jeep, make sure we were fed by the chef and that we were prepared with the itinerary for the next day. He would show up sharply dressed, on time, and ready to help us in any way he could to feel safe, comfortable and satisfied. It was a level of professionalism we were thrilled with.

When we weren't on safari, we went on some cultural experiences with Allan - also a man of strong character. He connected us with some local tribes, introduced us to local foods and showed us a way of life we could only dream of. Great man. We exchanged cultural ideas and he made us feel so welcome and well cared for. Even taught us some swahili!! haha.

The most memorable parts of our trip were camping in the icy cold Ngorogoro crater and hearing the hyenas laugh at night, seeing baby elephants with their mothers bathing in Tangire muddy water, seeing my husband roast a bird over a fire he helped build after hunting with the Handzabe boys, learning to ''bush bush'' haha if you know you know, hiking to a waterfall (I am in a wheelchair often), and meeting a woman who started her own school in the heart of Lake Eyasi region to further the education of children and girls to give them a chance at life outside of agriculture.

The experience was beyond memorable. It changed us. Thank you Colours of Africa.
