We went to a one day safari in Mikumi and it was amazing! Well organized trip, great guides, beautiful landscape and an incredible wildlife.. We saw almost everything what is possible from a very close range. Thanks Uwanda, we will definitely come back!

Perfect experience. Would use again in a heartbeat.
This was a great experience from start to finish. Communication was top notch, which was important for us as it was our first real safari. We stayed in Nyerere at the Impala camp and the accomodations were clean and efficient. We saw no critters save for a tiny flying big one night in the room. Water was hot and pressure was strong. Food was tasty.
Our guide was Kapande and we couldn't have asked for a better driver. We saw every animal multiple times over 2 days except for the leopard, which we told him we were ok skipping. Otherwise, I have no doubt he would have tracked one down for us. I can't stress enough how good Kapande was at finding the animals for us. He let us take our time, and we even went a little longer than we should have the first day
During every drive we felt completely safe. Kapande not only had a sixth sense for the animals, but also for the road which was difficult to drive on to say the least.
If we return to this park, we will definitely request Kapande again, and I have zero reservations recommending both him and Uwanda Tours

Kapande Is an Excellent Tour Guide
My husband and I hired Uwanda Tours to take us around Selous National Park for 3 days. They assigned Kapande as our driver and guide. He arrived on time to pick us up from our hotel in Dar Es Salaam. He immediately explained to us what to expect on the 4 hour drive we had ahead of us. When we arrived a6 Selous he explained the remainder of the day to us and asked when we wanted lunch and asked how long we wanted to stay out. Our first day drive was very eventful. Kapande spot a lion first, so we got to enjoy him before any other vehicles arrived. We then went farther into the park and Kapande spotted another lion, again we had the lion to ourselves. He took us to out of the way places where we got to see a herd of elephants playing in a water hole. Again. We were the only vehicle there for the first 5 minutes so, we got to enjoy looking at the elephants without any other vehicles present. We saw zebras and wildebeest and a number of other animals I was amazed by Kapande's eyesight. He was able to spot animal I didn't even see. Our next day game drive was just as eventful and special. We again got to see a number of animals and managed to arrive before other vehicles for most of them. We felt as if we had the park to ourselves. The special things we got to see the second day were elephants fighting, a baby elephant that was very curious and giraffes fighting.
Our final day we did a boat safari. Kapande dropped us off and picked us back up after the boat ride was over. Kapande than took us back to Dar Es Salaam. After dropping is off, he realized has left our lunches in the truck. He turned around and came back and gave them to us. We were very impressed with how thoughtful he was.
The safari vehicle was spotless and Kapande was very knowledgeable and helpful in making sure we got to see everything we wanted to see.
I would definitely recommend Uwanda Tours and I would tell everyone to ask for Kapande as their guide.

Our one-day safari in Tanzania was nothing short of magical – truly the best day of our lives! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and we owe our incredible experience to our outstanding guide, Mr. Martin, and our skilled driver, Shabani.
Mr. Martin was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about wildlife, and full of fascinating facts that brought every moment to life. He made sure we didn’t miss a single highlight, and his warm personality made us feel instantly at ease.
Shabani’s driving was nothing short of expert – smooth, safe, and perfectly timed to get us in the right place at the right moment. Thanks to him, we got up close to lions, elephants, giraffes and much more!
This experience exceeded every expectation and left us with memories we'll cherish forever. If you’re considering a safari in Tanzania, do yourself a favor and ask for Mr. Martin and Shabani. You will not be disappointed!

An experience to remember!
We’ve had the best time during our safari with Uwanda Tours. With a super special thanks to Rafaeli (our guide) and Mkali (our driver) who went out of their way to give us the best game drive. Their enthusiasm and knowledge was incredible. They tried very hard to make sure we had the best view of the animals and were determined to make us have the best day, listened to our wishes and just had such an amazing energy. They really made our trip one to remember!
Everything was arranged, for any questions they replied quickly on WhatsApp and the safari lodge we stayed at was also great. We even got to relax by the pool while watching baboons play around.
Highly recommend!!!

Kapande is really nice and took good care of us. Did his best so we could see the Tanzanian wildlife
Along the way to the two parks we were going on a safari at, Kapande, our driver, proactively tried to explain us the specificities of the various areas we were crossing, even without us asking; and during our game drive, he also did all could so that we would get the chance to see the wildlife of Tanzania in all its beauty. Really nice guy, who took good care of us. Asante sana, Kapande.
Mikumi offers a nice overview of the Tanzanian savannah. And men ! Nyerere is simply astonishing ! Its lake panorama are a wonder. Still blown away really.

Confortabile tour Safari.
The tour program description reflects reality. Safari Selous Lodge is amazing, the food is good (but you can’t choose your meal because there is one daily menu). Our guide Kapande was really kindly and a good driver.
There is just one thing to keep mind: if you are coming from Dar Es Salam the road is not paved and it’s 3 Hours of jumping 🙈

Amazing safari experience
Everything was fantastic. Our guide Rajabu was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and plants. He explained the behaviour and habitat thoroughly. He attended to our needs and drove with care and expertise. He was very friendly and conscious of making sure we enjoyed the experience. He shared his passion for the conservation and management for sustainability. The food was good and the lodges at the selous safari camp were very comfortable. The staff were warm, courteous and welcoming. The whole experience was magical. We saw many animals and rajabu ensured we were able to view everything well. I can thoroughly recommend both rajabu and the selous safari lodge for your safari holiday.

We felt extremely cared for and safe.
We hired the safari for 4 days and it was our second time doing a trip like this. Kapande picked us up at the hotel in the agreed time and drove us to our lodge 4h away from Dar Es Salaam.
We had 2 full game days and 2 other days with different activities (Boat Safari and visit to the Maasai).
Kapande took care of us the whole time! He was not only super punctual, but he is also an excelent driver!! I wanted to see a black mamba and he didn't stop looking for one for the entire two days!! Also when we found out there was a lion around in the radio, he raced through the park until we found it and we got the BEST pictures AND felt like we were in a real adventure!
I cannot stress enough how much Kapande made a difference on our trip and it wouldnt have been the same without him.
