Unforgettable experience
We had an amazing time on safari in Tanzania with Savannah Explorers. They arranged all the accommodations at some beautiful lodges and took care of everything so we didn’t have to worry about anything but seeing animals while we were there. They were flexible with our travel plans when we had flights unexpectedly change and made sure it wasn’t a problem for us. Our guide, Jacksen was wonderful. He was both knowledgeable and thoughtful about what would give us the best experience. He made sure we saw as many animals as possible and was very informative about wildlife, the environment, and the local culture.
Tanzania was beautiful and November ended up being a perfect time to go because it wasn’t crowded and, despite being the season of “short rains”, it didn’t rain at all while we were there. We went to several different national parks but Serengeti National Park was the favorite for our group. We saw so many animals up close and we got to stay two nights in the park in a tented camp, which was incredible.
I would definitely recommend Savannah Explorers and Tanzania in general if you’re looking for a great experience on a safari!

Suma (our guide) was wonderful, always available and very professional. He explained so much about the savannah and the animals, and it was thanks to him that we were able to see the Big Five!

My partner and I went on a 7-night safari visiting Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
It was a truly wonderful experience. In each park, you can see beautiful and diverse landscapes with countless animals. The organization, accommodations, and guide were impeccable! If we were to return to Tanzania for other safaris, we would definitely choose Savannah Explorers.

We booked a safari tour and was very pleased with our trip. Out driver and guide, Moody Rasta was excellent. He was a safe driver and had eyes of an eagle to spot all the animals! We saw the big five and then some. The lodging was great and everyone was very kind. I highly recommend this company and especially Moody. Ask for him!

Savannah Explorers provides an unforgettable experience.
After researching many tour companies, we chose Savannah Explorers and we are so glad we did. We spent 5 days on safari in Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park. Our guide, Isaac, was an excellent driver, was very knowledgable, and spoke excellent English. He said we were "lucky" but we know we saw the Big 5 and many of Tanzania's beautiful creatures because of him. He answered all of our questions, was patient in waiting on us when we weren't quite ready to leave a place where we were watching the wildlife or were simply relaxing while having our lunch in the bush. Savannah Explorers booked amazing accommodations for our evenings after safari and for our time in Zanzibar. They made arrangements for our walking safari in Tarangire National Park and for the most amazing hot air ballon safari in northern Serengeti. The itinerary was planned out well, and a flight from Seronera Air Strip to Nungwi Beach on Zanzibar was a great experience. We can't say enough about the people there- our trip planner, Sultan, our driver, Isaac, all of the hosts and servers, the pilot of the hot air balloon, the Masaai, the beautiful children- they were so welcoming and kind to us. The people we met, the wildlife we saw, everything we experienced was made possible by Savannah Explorers. They made our first safari trip unforgettable.
