Great experience with the best team, specially Thomas (guide) and Glory (tour consultant)
My private safari in Tanzania (Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) was absolutely exceptional! Everything went exactly as planned, thanks to the constant support and attention of Glory Christopher, the tour consultant, who was always quick to clarify any questions and consistently helpful and responsive.
As for my guide, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than Thomas: experienced, knowledgeable, communicative and extremely flexible when faced with my sudden requests to stop so I could photograph more animals or landscapes. He knows the parks exceptionally well and is a phenomenal guide!
I can only thank him for the entire experience: seeing the Big Five, witnessing the Great Migration — including hundreds of wildebeest crossing the Mara River — and taking in the beauty of Africa. It was an incredible experience, and one I hope to repeat!

Since our first contact with Kojuu, we were extremely impressed about their responsiveness, care, thoughtfulness and thoroughness. Our agent, Zaituni, helped us plan every little detail of the the most amazing trip we have ever done (and we travel a lot!). Everything was perfect - from planning the trip, to the execution of the plan. The only sad part was to come back home! Kojuu booked us amazing 5 star hotels and organized all the tours we requested (air balloon safari, walking safari, Olduvai Gorge, Stonetown tour, the Rock restaurant... just to name a few!), and most importantly, they made everything happen so seamlessly. During our journey, they made sure that every hotel had a little surprise (it was my birthday and our honeymoon), they got us upgrades, and we got by far the best value for our money. Also very important, we had the most amazing guide, Noel, who went above and beyond to give us the best game drives and who was knowledgeable about every detail. I would recommend Kojuu to everyone, as their service is unparalleled. Zaituni was also very communicative throughout the whole trip, making sure that we had everything we needed (from delicious snacks, to beer/wine, and the best hotel experiences). Kojuu also helped us organize our trip to Rwanda by connecting us with a local agency, which was great. We are already dreaming about our next adventure with Kojuu.

An Unforgettable Tanzania Safari with Kojuu Safaris!
Our family had an absolutely incredible experience with Kojuu Safaris, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning of planning until the end of our safari, everything was thoughtfully organized and beautifully executed.
A very special thank you to Janeth, who planned our entire 11-day itinerary. She was wonderful to work with—responsive, patient, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. Traveling as a family of six requires a lot of coordination, and Janeth created an itinerary that was perfectly paced and included everything we hoped to experience: the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania, Ngorongoro, the Serengeti, the Great Migration, cultural experiences, and so much more. She made the planning process easy and gave us confidence that everything would be taken care of once we arrived.
And then there was our amazing safari guide, Hija, who truly made our trip extraordinary. Hija was much more than a guide—he became an important part of our Tanzania experience. His knowledge of the wildlife, parks, landscapes, and local culture was exceptional. He had an incredible ability to spot animals that we would never have noticed ourselves and always seemed to know where to go for the best wildlife experiences.
Hija was patient, kind, professional, and wonderful with our entire family. He never made us feel rushed and was always willing to go the extra mile to make each day special. His enthusiasm and love for Tanzania and its wildlife made every game drive exciting. We felt completely safe and well cared for throughout our journey.
Some of our favorite memories are not just of the animals and breathtaking scenery, but also the conversations, laughter, and experiences we shared along the way. Those are the things that turn a great vacation into a trip you remember for the rest of your life.
Everything was extremely well coordinated—from airport pickup and accommodations to park visits, game drives, transfers, and our flight back from the Serengeti. We were able to simply relax and enjoy Tanzania while Kojuu Safaris took care of the details.

You start your planning knowing with a budget and there are lodges / camps for whatever level you prefer.
The Kojuu edge was to choose the BEST places to stay in the category that I chose.
The driver/guide might be the bigfest difference that a travel agency can make a difference.
The Kojuu edge was to hire a very experienced driver/guide. Our guide Emanuel was born and raised in a rural area so exposed to wild life and nature from a tender age, then studied and was able to explain IN DETAILS, the habits and habitats of esch species. Much more ... he could find the trails and evidences so we could witness a lioness atacking a herd of zebras and wildebeasts, a pride of lions eating and dividing(?) a Pumba, a leopard leaping beside us to find a bush beside our car to hide and the exact moment and place to park to witness many thousands of wikdebeasts crossing the Mara River.
All hotels were exelent, they all knew of our dietary restrictions, and acknowledged our aniversary trip.
About the big five: This is not difficult to achieve - there are plenty wildlife in Tanzania.
The Kojuu edge (or Emanuel's edge - the guide trully makes a difference) is related to the details of where to spot them what to whatch for how long for each group.

A truly personalized safari experience with exceptional service vom start to finish
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Kojuu Safari and would recommend them without hesitation!
From the very beginning, Losim organized everything perfectly and made the entire trip completely stress-free. He took all of our wishes into account, was always available via WhatsApp, and regularly checked in to make sure we were happy with our accommodations, transfers, excursions and our safari guide. We really appreciated how personal, caring and easy the communication was.
Our safari guide, Godlistern, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to spend time with. He answered all of our questions, drove safely on the bumpy roads (= free "African massage" 😉), set up our hot picnic lunches every day, arranging a table and chairs for us so we could enjoy a freshly cooked meal in the middle of the national parks and planned each day's safari schedule together with us.
The safari itself exceeded all of our expectations. We saw so many incredible animals up close: lions, giraffes, hippos, zebras, elephants, flamingos, wildbeast, cheetah, buffalos, a leopard, a rhino, even a secretary bird and many more! Every accommodation was excellent, with great food and wonderful staff. The domestic flight, all transfers, the Stone Town tour, and our stay in Zanzibar were also perfectly organized.
This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we are so grateful to the entire Kojuu Safari team for making it so special. Thank you sooo much! We will come back 😊🦒

An Unforgettable Honeymoon Safari with Kojuu Africa!
My husband, Prodromos, and I chose Kojuu Africa for our honeymoon safari in Tanzania, and looking back, we are so happy with our choice. From the very first conversation until the end of our trip, everything was thoughtfully planned and organised, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
From the beginning, Losim was the person who helped us turn our ideas into the perfect itinerary. He organised everything for us — the day-by-day safari programme, accommodations, internal flights, transportation and all the little details in between. Communication was always easy, professional and reassuring. What impressed us even more was that his involvement did not stop once the itinerary was organised. Throughout our journey, he would even call his colleagues to check on us and make sure that everything was going according to plan! At some point we were joking that he felt almost like our father in Tanzania, making sure his "children" were where they were supposed to be and that everything was going smoothly! 😂 That level of care, responsibility and professionalism really made us feel safe and looked after throughout our honeymoon.
We were also very happy to finally meet Losim in person when we arrived in Tanzania. He sat with us and carefully explained everything we needed to know about the days ahead and made sure we felt comfortable and prepared. Kojuu also surprised us with safari hats and T-shirts, and I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers together with a lovely honeymoon note from the company. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful way to begin our adventure. These personal touches made us feel that we were not simply another booking.
And then came our seven incredible safari days with our amazing guide, Erick!
Erick was not just our safari guide — he became our company and companion throughout the adventure. Spending seven days together meant sharing so many incredible moments, conversations, laughs and, of course, unforgettable wildlife sightings.
And somehow, I even managed to fall asleep during some of our safari drives — right in the middle of the famous “African massage”! 😂 Anyone who has experienced those bumpy safari roads will understand why this became a running joke! I think that says a lot about how comfortable and safe we felt with Erick. Between searching for lions, leopards and everything else the African wilderness had waiting for us, there I was occasionally sleeping peacefully while being bounced around in the safari jeep! 😂
His knowledge of the animals, the parks and the environment was impressive, and he was constantly looking for opportunities to make our safari special. We were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, but our sightings went far beyond that. We even encountered rarer animals, including a serval and an African armadillo/pangolin-type sighting, among so many other beautiful animals.
One thing we particularly appreciated about Erick was that he didn't simply follow the crowds. Whenever possible, especially in the Serengeti, he would search for quieter areas away from the large groups of safari vehicles. There were moments when there were almost no other jeeps around us, giving us the opportunity to quietly observe and photograph the wildlife and truly feel immersed in the African wilderness. As someone who loves photography, these moments were particularly special to me.
Every day was different. Every drive brought another surprise. Sometimes it wasn't even about finding a particular animal — it was simply driving through those endless landscapes, watching the sunrise, observing wildlife in its natural environment and realising how privileged we were to experience it.
Our accommodation throughout the trip was also excellent. We stayed at Kibo Palace Hotel Arusha, Conserve Safari Camp – Tarangire, Manyara's Secret, Dove Serengeti Camp and Marera Valley Lodge, and each place contributed something different to our experience. We especially loved experiencing the hospitality, atmosphere and Swahili food along the way.
I have several dietary restrictions, which can sometimes make travelling a little stressful, but I was extremely happy with how seriously and respectfully my requirements were handled. At every lodge, tented camp and hotel, the staff made an effort to prepare food that I could safely eat while still allowing me to enjoy the local cuisine. I never felt uncomfortable or like my dietary requirements were an inconvenience, and I truly appreciated that.
We also want to give special recognition to the wonderful people who handled our transfers throughout the journey. Jackson, who drove us to Arusha, Jafar, our driver in Zanzibar, and Abraham, together with another lovely driver whose name unfortunately escapes us, were all fantastic. Their personalities and friendliness added another layer to our experience. Everyone made us feel welcome, but we especially have to mention Jafar — from the moment we met him, he made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcomed in Zanzibar. He was warm, friendly, easy to talk to and simply a pleasure to be around. These transfers could have been just transportation from one place to another, but because of the people Kojuu works with, they became another enjoyable part of our journey. Every person we encountered through the company treated us with kindness and genuine hospitality.
After our safari adventure, our honeymoon continued in Zanzibar, where we stayed at TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar. It was the perfect ending to such an adventurous week — beautiful, luxurious and relaxing. After days of safari drives, it was wonderful to slow down, enjoy the ocean, the resort and simply relax together. We loved our stay and enjoyed every moment there.
If there is one thing we would personally change, it would be our visit to the Maasai village. We absolutely respect Maasai culture and were genuinely interested in learning about their traditions and way of life. However, our experience at the particular village we visited felt quite commercialised. During the visit, there were repeated situations involving contributions — first for the community, then the school, followed by being encouraged to purchase items from the market. Although nobody directly forced us to give money or buy anything, the way it was presented created a certain amount of pressure and made the experience feel more tourist-oriented than culturally authentic. This was related specifically to our experience at that particular village and does not change our opinion of Kojuu Africa or the rest of our safari. If we could repeat the trip, this is simply the one activity we would probably skip or replace with something else.
Apart from that, our experience was truly wonderful.
A safari in Tanzania had already been something we were incredibly excited about, but experiencing it as part of our honeymoon made it even more meaningful. Kojuu Africa helped create memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
A huge thank you to Losim for organising everything, answering our endless questions, meeting us personally, checking behind the scenes that everything was running smoothly and making us feel so welcomed and cared for from beginning to end.
And an equally huge thank you to Erick for seven unforgettable days, for his patience, knowledge, humour, enthusiasm and determination to make every safari drive worthwhile. Thank you for searching for wildlife with us, taking us away from the crowds whenever possible and sharing this incredible adventure with us. You were not simply our guide — you became part of our honeymoon story.
And finally, thank you to Jackson, Jafar, Abraham and every other person working behind the scenes who played a part in making the journey run so smoothly. A great safari company is not only about the itinerary or the places you visit — it is also about the people you meet along the way, and Kojuu surrounded us with genuinely lovely people.
From the landscapes of Tarangire and Manyara to the endless plains of the Serengeti, the wildlife, the people we met, the beautiful lodges, the food, the laughs and finally the relaxation of Zanzibar — this honeymoon was an experience we will never forget.
