Where do I start? So many WONDERFUL things to say about this company.
First of all Filipa was incredibly communicative upon our initial inquiry into scheduling a Safari. Answered all my questions in detail and very responsive to emails. I also reached out with questions during the Safari which she immediately responded too. I work in customer service and rarely find a company so attentive to their clients needs. I had researched several companies and this one was reasonably priced as well.
Secondly, our Nairobi driver, Moses made a great first impression. Waiting for us at the airport and taking us to our hotel. The van was comfortable and he made us feel very safe and offered to come back after we settled in to give us a city tour. We were so excited for the trip, we couldnt sleep despite the long journey, so we welcomed his offer. He took us to the Giraffe Center, a place where local bead jewelry was. made, and to a great family restaurant to enjoy local food. He also drove us around on our last day too for a visit to the Kenyan National Museum.
The next morning our Safari Guide, Sammie picked us up. We embarked on an amazing 9 day trip to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli National Park. Sammie was SO knowledgeable! He was a walking encyclopedia of animal species, gestations, habitats, and behaviors. He knew 100's of species of birds and plants. He could spot animals from a mile away. The long drives between parks enabled us to ask questions about Kenyan culture, resources, politics, topography, climate, food, and language. I think I valued those conversations as much, if not more than the animal searches. He educated us on many symbiotic relationships too. He was so personable and became a friend to our family. He drove the rough terrain with care and always had our safety in mind.
Thirdly, The camps and lodges they recommended were all terrific. Excellent staff and service every where we went. I only wish we could have spent more time enjoying the accommodations since we were out on game drives for the entire day. Many were so beautiful. We did ask Sammie to make one of our last days a half day of game drive so we could relax and absorb all that we had been learning and take in the beauty at our camp. This company will adjust the days to what you want to do. Ultimate personalization. We loved having the Landcruiser to our selves and could stand up and enjoy the scenery as Sammie drove.
Lastly, I was so impressed with the Kenyan people. Everyone so friendly and beautiful and truly caring about our experience and safety. This trip made a lasting impression on my family and I cant recommend this company enough! They were all wonderful. You won't regret booking with them!

Spirit of Kenya – Premium Safari Providers
Spirit of Kenya is an excellent, reliable and trustworthy company. Filipa created a perfect itinerary for us (couple) for our 9-days safari in the Masai Mara that took into account all our wishes. She was very patient, replying to many emails, and was always efficient and to the point. Everything worked perfectly during our stay. The lodges were wonderful, offering impeccable service and great attention to Detail in a warm atmosphere. We stayed at Malaika Camp, Royal Zebra River Safari Lodge, and Mara Bush Camp Luxury Migration. The food was excellent, and the chefs were even able to provide us with creative vegan options. We always felt safe and well taken care of.
Thanks to our tour guide, we were able to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, many different antelopes, giraffes and plenty of zebras and wildebeest. The highlight was watching the migration cross the Mara River.
If we ever return to Kenya, we will definitely choose Spirit of Kenya again.

Exceptional
We departed for our honeymoon with Spirit of Kenya and the journey was simply unforgettable, truly a once in a lifetime experience. Not only we enjoyed the wonderful nature and animal encounters, but we also had the opportunity to learn so much about the country and its culture. The hotels were comfortable and welcoming. We are very grateful to Laura, our journey designer, for her patience and understanding while organising the trip. Above all we are truly grateful to our guide, Kelvin. He was an exceptional, punctual, safe driver. Extremely kind, knowledgeable, professional, fun to be with, and accommodating. We left considering him a friend and meeting him was the highlight of our holiday! 💛

An unforgettable family adventure with Spirit of Kenya
I worked with Laura at Spirit of Kenya to plan a 3 park safari for my family of 8 that included my 2 grandchildren ages 7 and 9. Laura handled all the logistics seemlessly. She listened to my requests and was very responsive.
Our guides Simon and Nester were exceptional, their knowledge of local wildlife and tracking skills meant we saw the Big Five. They were experienced drivers and we felt very safe and comfortable at all times.
The accommodations ( Oilepo Amboseli, Sarova Lion Hill Nakuru, Camp Oloshaiki Maasai Mara) . The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. They were great with our grandchildren.

Amazing safari experience - into the wild
During the planning and booking process Filipa helped by answering any question and tailor the Safari to our wishes. During our visit we were fortunate to see lots of animals and enjoyed the game drives in a comfortable 4x4 car with open roof. If we had to pick a highlight it would be the first full day in Masai Mara with the early hot air balloon. Big recommendation to add the balloon flight to your itinerary! That being said, we loved every bit of it and were sad we had to leave. Special thanks in particular to Shuma (our guide) who looked after us exceptionally for the entire journey.

Navštívili jsme parky Masai Mara, Serengeti a kráter Ngorongoro. Díky obrovskému štěstí a především zkušeným průvodcům, kteří parky znají do nejmenších detailů, jsme viděli spoustu divokých zvířat z bezprostřední blízkosti. Úžasným zážitkem byl přechod pakoňů přes řeku Mara i sledování Velké migrace. Ubytování bylo velmi kvalitní a skvěle situované. Vše fungovalo bez jediného problému a domů jsme si odvezli nezapomenutelné vzpomínky.

We visited Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. Thanks to a bit of luck and, above all, our experienced guides who know the parks inside out, we got to see a wealth of wildlife up close. Witnessing the wildebeest river crossing at the Mara River and being part of the Great Migration was unforgettable. The accommodations were top-quality and in excellent locations. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and we brought home incredible memories.

From the very first contact, Victor and then Laura were extremely professional, responsive and patiently answered all our questions. Every detail was clearly explained, making the entire planning and booking process extremely smooth and reassuring.
But what made this journey truly unforgettable was our fantastic guide Sammy!
Sammy’s passion for wildlife and conservancy shines through in every moment he shares with you. His deep knowledge of the parks, understanding of animals' behaviour and his remarkable instinct transformed every game drive into something far beyond what we had imagined.
He doesn’t simply share information, he has a wonderful way of bringing every moment to life, inviting us to experience its beauty, sparking our curiosity to learn more and helping us notice the little things we might otherwise have missed.
Throughout the seven days we spent together, Sammy consistently went the extra mile to make sure we always had the best experience possible. Every game drive brought new surprises, incredible sightings, fascinating stories, laughs and moments that will stay with us for a very long time.
And beyond his professionalism and extraordinary knowledge, Sammy is a bright, kind, warm-hearted, and one of those genuinely special people you feel lucky to meet.
By the end of the seven days, saying goodbye was unexpectedly difficult. We felt that we had built a connection with him that went far beyond what we expected to be the guide-and-guest relationship, and that made leaving even harder.

An unforgettable family safari and beach holiday, seamlessly organized by Francisco!
We recently booked our family trip (4 adults and 2 kids) to Kenya with Spirit of Kenya, and we couldn't be happier with the experience from start to finish! Francisco handled all the organization for us, and everything went completely smoothly—from the airport pickups and seamless hotel transfers to the coordination between destinations.
Our highlights were definitely the breathtaking safaris in the Maasai Mara and Amboseli, followed by a wonderful, relaxing time down at the coast in Diani.
A special shout-out and massive compliment must go to our driver and safari guide, Mr. Karasha. He was truly amazing! He was a wonderfully responsible driver during our long, multi-hour commutes between locations on some tough roads, always keeping us feeling safe. Beyond his driving skills, he was so kind, polite, and full of fascinating information about Kenya and the wildlife. We were especially impressed by how deeply respectful he was of the animals and nature during our game drives, keeping a safe distance and prioritizing wildlife well-being while we watched other drivers rushing around recklessly.
Spirit of Kenya delivered an incredible, well-paced family adventure, and we look forward to traveling with them again in the future. Highly recommended!

Great from start to finish - 8 days private safari for 4 people
We just came back from an eight days safari with Spirit of Kenya which included Masai Mara, lake Nakuru, lake Naivasha with Hell's Gate and Amboseli. It was a private safari for a group of four. Everything went perfectly, from the planning stage till the last airport drop off. Filipa helped us plan the whole thing and she was super responsive and patient, we exchanged close to 50 emails all together. One of our group lost her bag on arrival and they offered to help with this as well but then it came at the last moment before our departure for safari. We had George as our guide and we loved him! He was calm, knowledgeable and just a nice person. You could see he had a lot of experience and respect for the animals. In the end we saw all the big 5, the ugly 5, a super tusker, elephants in front of Mt Kilimanjaro and so much more. We had a mid range of accomodations and they were just fine. We also loved the water bottles from Spirit of Kenya they gave us at the beginning. The jeep was also good and George washed it regularly while we were on the road. I would be very happy to go on another safari with them!
