It was an absolutely amazing experience, everything was perfectly organized.
Our experience with Spirit of Kenya, October 2025. We went on a 5-day safari with Spirit of Kenya, and everything was absolutely amazing!
Filipa arranged our entire itinerary, and even though we booked everything at the very last minute, it all worked out perfectly.
Our guide, George, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He made sure each day ran smoothly, shared many interesting facts about the wildlife and local culture, and made the whole trip even more enjoyable.
We can only recommend Spirit of Kenya – it was an unforgettable experience!

Amazing company to work with.
My wife and I just took our first Safari. I did a lot of research on tour companies and decided on going with Spirit of Kenya. One of the best decisions I have ever made. This company was fantastic to work with. Victor did an amazing job in helping me plan this adventure. He was very fast at answering all my questions. I can't say enough about Mike R. our driver/guide. He was great and took care of us on the whole trip. The lodging, transportation and food were awesome. The animals were the star of the show and Mike made sure we saw everything. I would highly recommend Spirit of Kenya, they made this trip something we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Knowledgeable
We had a wonderful time using Spirit of Kenya! They were great to work with and made scheduling our trip super easy. We absolutely loved our driver, Lawrence. We asked a ton of questions, and he never seemed annoyed, answering them all. He also knew the answer to every animal question we asked, I was impressed. He was always on time to pick us up, super flexible, great to chat with and made our lunches a great experience too.
I did get engaged on the trip so that was of course my favorite part. But my other favorite part of the trip was seeing all the lions and cubs. I also really enjoyed staying at the Four Seasons and the hot air balloon ride we added in. The services and staff at all of our hotels were extremely friendly and we were very impressed.

Best week of our lives!!!
Our experience with Spirit of Kenya was absolutely amazing!! To plan our visit we communicated with Victor who was fab at responding promptly and helped us to personalise the visit as we were very fussy. The hotels and transport were incredible! Our guide Bonface was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about each aspect of the safari. He worked really hard to ensure that we saw everything we wanted, and even bought us some sugarcane when we didn’t have the correct money! His radio broke on the first day but he was constantly calling people to find all the animals. Bonface made our experience a once in a lifetime event!! We saw and experienced everything and more. Everyone was so welcoming, I couldn’t recommend Spirit of Kenya enough!!

incredible trip
This was an amazing trip! The trip was easy to plan and Filipa was extremely helpful. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure we saw everything. The food was good and everywhere we stayed was wonderful. I was surprised at how close we were to some of the animals! I highly recommend Spirit of Kenya to anyone considering a safari!

Exceptional company to work with.
First time in Africa. Excellent reviews on the internet brought us to select a Spirit of Kenya safari. Arrived in Nairobi without yellow fever cards which were lost in Germany. SofK shuttle driver saved us with a reissue adventure to the WHO, as card would be required at our Tanzania boarder transfer.
Our safari guide (Bonface) picked us up at the Ibis hotel in Nairobi to begin the best adventure ever. Began in Lake Nakuru where almost every animal we had hoped to see was found by Bonface. Went on to the Masai Mara to round out encounters with the big cats. Mid-level lodgings during our trip were great. Super time with Bonface to the boarder to Tanzania and our guide hand-off for Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire parks.

A Life-Changing Safari Experience with Spirit of Kenya
My wife and I booked a 7-day private Kenya–Tanzania safari through Spirit of Kenya, and it was absolutely exceptional. Gerardo was outstanding—organized, patient, and proactive in handling every detail, from the itinerary and border logistics to hotel coordination.
Our guides, Dominic (Kenya) and Lawrence (Tanzania), were true professionals: warm, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecosystems. We saw the Big Five multiple times, enjoyed a balloon safari, and had wonderful cultural visits along the way.
The accommodations were fantastic—especially Nimali Serengeti, which exceeded all expectations and even surprised us with an anniversary cake. The level of care and hospitality everywhere we stayed, including Amani Mara and Pakulala, was remarkable.

A Truly Unforgettable Safari Experience with Spirit of Kenya
One of my mom's lifelong dreams has been to go on an African safari, and Spirit of Kenya made that dream come true. Our planner, Filipa, crafted a wonderful 5 day itinerary that allowed us to explore Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli.
Our driver and guide, Raphael, was phenomenal. My mom really wanted to see the Big Five, and thanks to his sharp eye and experience, we were able to spot lions, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants, along with so many other amazing animals like warthogs, antelopes, gazelles, crocodiles, hippos, and countless beautiful birds. We also witnessed unforgettable moments, from a lion carrying the carcass of an antelope between Land Cruisers to an elephant charging at a female lion and her cubs to defend its own.
We appreciated how Raphael not only taught us about the animals but also shared fascinating insights about Kenya's history, culture, and his own experiences as a Maasai.
On our final day, we encountered a protest on the road back to Nairobi, and Raphael handled the situation calmly and resourcefully to ensure we reached the airport on time for our flight.
Overall, it was a spectacular trip, and we felt so cared for from start to finish. I would highly recommend Spirit of Kenya and Raphael Torome to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.
