Spirit of Kenya exceeded all of our expectations.
Spirit on Kenya truly exceeded all of our expectations. My husband and I did 8 days in Kenya. From the start Vanessa was always quick to respond and so helpful in planning our trip and attentive to every detail. Thomas, our guide for the trip, was friendly and so knowledgeable. We booked as a trip of a lifetime and now are hopeful to return soon.

Very communicative and delivered a great trip.
My wife and I planned an 8-day safari from Nairobi to the Masai Mara and Serengeti. The entire experience with Spirit of Kenya was fantastic. My family and I did a 6 day safari visiting Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. We had an amazing time on our safari – it was truly an unforgettable experience! Both of our guides, Thomas in Kenya and Yassin in Tanzania, absolutely made the experience what it was. They were both so friendly and knowledgeable, and we learned so much about the animals and Africa from them! They were definitely the best part of our experience. While we were on our game drives, we could easily see the difference in engagement, excitement, and knowledge between our guides and others we saw in the parks. Both of ours were truly exceptional and we cannot thank them enough! Of course the animals were also amazing! We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 during our trip. This trip is something we will never forget!

Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari
Recently did a private safari with Spirit of Kenya (three nights in the Masai Mara, then one in Lake Nakuru), and it was everything we wanted. Having asked for quotes from a handful of companies, we went with Spirt of Kenya because of their swift responses, transparency and sensible pricing. Good decision. All through the planning process everything was dealt with efficiently and promptly, and nothing was too much trouble for Laura, who was my main contact in the office. On the safari itself, Nicolas, our guide, was fantastic at tracking down the animals and getting our Land Cruiser into the best positions for photographs. It was a real labour of love for him. The accommodation Spirit of Kenya recommended was excellent, and the transfers to and from the airport at either end of the trip seamless. If I was doing another safari any time soon – I wish! – I would have no hesitation in using Spirit of Kenya again.

Family memories to last a lifetime
Spirit of Kenya lives up to its name in providing a trip that embodied the spirit of the country. From the incredibly prompt and helpful coordination with our planner, Laura, to prepare and plan to the knowledgeable and kindness of our guide, Bonnie. We brought our children (10 and 12) on our safari and our itinerary and guide provided a safe, welcoming, and memorable adventure for the whole family.
We were picked up from the airport by Moses who graciously offered to come get us the next morning for a tour around Nairobi. This was not part of our scheduled trip, which started the following day, but we had an amazing time visiting the Giraffe Center, the Kobe Tough Bead factory and the National Museum. He was kind, funny, and full of local knowledge. He also connected us to our safari guide, Bonnie so we could coordinate for our first morning.
Our 8-day safari included visits to Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Aberdare, Lake Naivasha, and Maasai Mara. Bonnie was the most amazing safari guide we could have asked for. He is calm, patient, prompt, and awed by the wildlife we all were looking for. He took us to see the country’s tallest waterfall in Aberdare, seemed to have an uncanny ability to find the wildlife we were seeking, and was excellent company on our drives. His calm demeanor and reassurance was perfect for our kids and us too.
This was by far the most expensive trip we have ever taken and it was hands down worth every penny. The coordination, logistics, service, and ground covered were huge! We also did a lot of research on other outfitters and group travel options. Spirit of Kenya offered the best value for us for the length, number of days, and flexibility. We cannot say enough good things about our experience.

Professional and caring company that delivers best safari you can dream of!
From the very first email contact with Laura in the office to being dropped off back in Nairobi our safari experience was great.
Laura was very professional and helpful with designing our safari and with all the logistics- MASAI MARA, NAIVASHA LAKE AND AMBOSELI. Kennedy, our driver/guide was exceptionally good. He was very attentive to our needs, very punctual, knew where the animals were and had interesting information to share. He has a good sense of humour and charm that made the long drives very comfortable. His driving skills and patience with traffic excelled as well as his respect and helpfulness towards other drivers and visitors.
We saw plenty of wildlife in the three parks we visited, and the icing on the cake was a clear view of the Kilimanjaro in Amboseli.
The lodges chosen by Spirit of Kenya have the conservation ethos and involvement with local communities that we were looking for as well as excellent food and standards. And their staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to do a private safari in a land cruiser with knowledgeable and professional drivers and you definitely get this with Spirit of Kenya.
