Fantastic Experience and excellent Reliable Service
We were 3 people and went on a 9 day tour in which we saw all the big 5, chimpanzees and mountain gorillas. It was a fantastic experience.
Communication with the company was outstanding, we usually received an answer to our messages and questions within minutes.
Our guide was great too. Besides being friendly, explaining well, and trying his best to accomodate our wishes he even took us on an extra game drive, to see zebras, and he helped us look for a camera battery. The vehicle had air conditioning, was very comfortable and enough water was always provided.
The lodges were great too and provided vegan / vegetarian food options, although it was almost always vegetables with some sort of carbs (rice, potatoes, matoke, etc.). More variety would have been appreciated. Also, the introductory briefings in the lodges were often unnecessarily long, especially after having had a long drive or day you just want to know the basic things. Not in all places it was possible to move outside the lodges freely, mostly because of wild animals. For someone that enjoys running that was not ideal, but it total I could go 3 times.
Value for money is excellent. Gorilla permits and chimpanzee permits are very expensive, subtracting that, the prize per person was excellent.
All in all we can really recommend the experience.

A perfect safari in Uganda from start to finish — thank you, Peter and Anderson!
Everything was excellent from the very first moment. I contacted several agencies before deciding, and Peter was without a doubt the best of them all: he put together the most optimised route, with the best hotels and at the best price. You can tell he knows exactly what he’s doing. Always attentive, friendly and helpful, answering everything with endless patience.
One thing I especially want to highlight: because of the Ebola situation we had to cancel the trip initially. Peter gave us all the options, including postponing it to 2027, and once the country was declared Ebola-free we were able to pick the safari back up straight away. He made everything as easy as possible for us and gave us all the information we needed at every step. We didn’t have to worry about a thing.
And our guide, Anderson, was fantastic. We were delighted with him throughout the whole trip. Everything was so easy, so well organised, and an unforgettable experience. I recommend Buyaga Safaris one hundred percent.

A dream come true in a 11 days tour in Uganda
We organized an 11-day tour of Uganda with Buyaga Safaris, allowing us to visit this wonderful country from north to south. Our driver/guide, Braiton, was excellent, always punctual, available, and ready to answer any of our questions and accommodate our needs as best as possible. Furthermore, despite the difficult Ugandan roads, especially those accessing the various parks, and the long drive, he proved to be an excellent driver (again, it was a great pleasure). The hotels we booked were excellent, some even exceeding our expectations. The only downside (if there was one) is that the chimpanzee tour was scheduled for the morning, but we went in the afternoon and only learned about it the night before. So, a tip is to indicate in the program that the chimpanzee trek can be done either in the morning or afternoon. Overall, the overall price—even compared to those offered by other companies—seemed very fair. We are happy with this trip and hope to return to Uganda soon!

Twelve truly beautifull days, impeccably organized. Every detail was managed with great precision and care, which allowed us to experience the trip with complete peace of mind. A very friendly, kind, polite, always professional, punctual, helpful guy, and deeply attentive to ensuring we experienced this wonderful country in the best possible way. He does this job with immense passion.

Simply outstanding, they made our trip to Uganda one of a kind.
My wife and I visited Uganda with the help of Buyaga safaris and we cannot speak highly enough of their services.
Our tour was 5 days and included several game drives, chimpanzee trekking and a gorilla trek. All of these experiences passed our expectations.
Between the amazing stops and adventures our guide Simpson was an absolute joy. He was a great driver, guide and companion who we enjoyed having with us every step of the way. He was informative, knowledgeable and very passionate about his country and you could sense the pride he felt when he showed us the beautiful Ugandan countryside. It was also clear that he is good at his craft and is well respected because everyone we seemed to meet a the hotels, treks and restaurants immediately recognized and greeted him like an old friend. It is very easy to feel comfortable and enjoy your trip when this kind of person is the one leading you.
Everything about Uganda and this trip was pleasant. From communicating with Peter who helped us craft the perfect itinerary and was always super easy to communicate with, even though we were planning our visit from the other side of the world as my wife and I are from Canada.
We also wanted to speak highly of the accommodations that we stayed in along the way. We stayed in three different hotels on our trip and every single one of them was amazing. They all had gorgeous rooms with unique views and all of the meals were fantastic. Every single night we got to select our own 3 course meal and each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast cooked to order. Definitely exceeded our expectations considering we opted to go with a “budget friendly” itinerary to keep our cost down.
I could go on, but just know that booking with Buyaga is a safe choice and you will not regret it.

Great choice!
We chose Buyaga Safari for our tour in Uganda, and the overall experience was extremely positive. One of the aspects we appreciated the most was the flexibility of the tour operator. Although they offer well-structured standard itineraries, the team was able to accommodate most of our requests, tailoring the trip to our specific needs in terms of both itinerary and accommodation standards. Their willingness to adapt the program made the experience much more personalized and aligned with our expectations.
A special mention goes to our guide, Apton, who was a real asset throughout the journey. He was always punctual, professional, and willing to accommodate our requests, even when they involved small adjustments to the planned schedule. He kept the vehicle in excellent condition and demonstrated both safe and comfortable driving skills on paved roads as well as on more challenging off-road terrain. He was also proactive and resourceful in dealing with any unexpected situations or logistical issues that arose during the trip.
From a wildlife perspective, Apton has a solid knowledge of Uganda’s fauna, with particular expertise in birdlife. His ability to spot and identify a wide variety of bird species added significant value to our safari experience.
If there is one area for improvement, it would be the gradual renewal of the vehicle fleet. Although the vehicle we used was well maintained and reliable, a newer fleet would further enhance the overall experience and better match the high standard of service provided.
Overall, we would highly recommend Buyaga Safari to anyone looking for a well-organized, flexible, and customizable trip to Uganda, supported by attentive staff and knowledgeable guides who genuinely care about meeting travelers’ needs.

He managed to organize our trip exactly how we wanted.
All the lodges were clean, safe,close to the attractions and most of all the food was delicious.
We were so lucky to have Brighton as a guide.
Since the very first moment when he picked us up at the airport he made us feel safe and confortable.
He is a awesome and tireless driver and brought us in every place we want to go at all times.
He was very kind, with our parents , who speak just a little bit of English and he always tried to have a conversation with them.
He, also, told us a lot about Uganda's life, nature and culture, making us understand the love that he has for his job and all the efforts he put in it.
We discovered how Uganda really is. It is not just safaris, gorillas and,chimps but it is much more.

Amazing Experience with Buyaga Safaris
We were lucky enough to do our 9 day safari through Uganda with Buyaga Safaris. Peter was incredibly prompt with communication and was kindly able to add an extra day to our trip on very short notice. The experience with Peter was great from start to finish and we recommend Buyaga to anyone thinking of visiting Uganda.
Our guide, Ossman, was the absolute best. He was kind, genuine, funny and was always willing to answer the dozens of questions we had along the journey. He was very knowledgeable of the wildlife and local towns we travelled through and would always accommodate for us to do small errands like go to the bank or forex bureau. We had an amazing time and had some of our most memorable experiences in Uganda. I’d 100% recommend.

An amazing experience
My friend and I went on a 12 day safari. We had a lot of fun activities planned and each were more than we expected. We quickly warmed up to our tour guide Brighton who had similar sense of humor. He handled challenging situations very well while being professional. We both highly recommend a walking safari in Lake Mburo and the night drive. Hiking to see the gorillas was definitely challenging but definitely worth it.
