Great operator
5/5

I had a great time and really enjoyed the trip. I only had a limited time so I wanted to see as much as possible. Fred helped plan the trip to maximize time even adding things along the way I didn't consider. My guide, Eddie was great. Very profesional, organized and punctual. He also had a great attitude and was friendly and knowledgeable. The primate watching was great, of course I saw the chimpanzees and mountain gorillas which was unforgettable. However I also saw 5-8 other kinds of primates along the way and even at lodges. Speaking of lodges they were unforgettable. The Kibale Forest Camp was right in the rainforest and had a great jungle trail around it. You slept in very fancy tents with bathrooms. The next spot was Bakiga Lodge which was even more spectacular perched on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable national park overlooking the sloping tea plantations to the north. Finally, and best of all, was the Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort which was on its own private island in the middle of lake Bunyonyi. Another spectacular nature trail and dugout canoeing made it very special. However the views were out of this world, I was legitimately concerned I had died and gone to heaven.

A very serious and professional tour operator
5/5

I've chosen two journeys from East African Jungle Safaris. One to Bwindi NP and Queen Elisabeth NP and one to Kidepo NP. During the planning, Fred fulfilled my needs 100%. Because of the Covid-situation, I could adjust the tour without any problems. The guides Eddy and Ronald did a great job. They were very friendly, drove me safely and helped me, whenever they could. I can highly recommend this tour agency.

We highly recommend East African Jungle Safaris!
5/5

We booked the 7 days "Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth and Kibale Tour" in Uganda with East African Jungle Safaris (EAJS) in May 2021 and we highly recommend EAJS!
We booked the mid-range option and loved each and everyone of the hotels (Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge next to Bwindi, Bunyonyi Eco Resort, Bush Lodge, and Kibale Forest Camp).
Fred and his team made the initial planning of the trip easy. Fred would answer within a few hours if we had any questions or if we wanted to adjust the tour to fit our needs. Fred was extremely reliable and accomodating.

Once in Entebbe (Uganda), our tour guide Willy picked us up from our Hotel. Willy was extremely nice and knowledgeable and made the 7 day journey so memorable and enjoyable. If we had any additional wishes, Willy would incorporate them into our tour! We loved the experience and recommend EAJS for anyone looking to travel to Uganda and the surrounding region!

Thanks again EAJS for a memorable vacation!

Unforgettable experience of nature, wildlife and cultural heritage
5/5

This was a lovely 7 day tour that I enjoyed very much with my husband. The guide Eddie was friendly, knowledgeable and patient answering our questions. He attentively spotted animals for us to watch. The accommodation places were clean and comfortable. Uganda is such a lovely country with friendly people and children waving at you wherever you. The nature there is very beautiful with lots of green hillside, lakes , forests and mountains. I loved the activities of people in the Bigodi swamp walk and their way of doing things . I loved the animals everywhere. The trip was really unforgettable. I would only recommend that the gorilla trekking activity be moved to the end of the tour because it's strenuous and could affect one's enjoyment of the rest of the tour especially if one gets injured. I also believe people should be made aware beforehand of the nature of this activity and how slippery or steep the ground is there in the impenetrable forest.
EAJS really delivered all the program as I hoped for and as they designed. I only wish we had been able to do the Batwa cultural experience which was part of the tour and I was looking forward to it but we didn't have the time to do it unfortunately. Apart from that, the tour was great and I would recommend it to my friends.

Was just like a superman in all kind of risky conditions guided us to see as many animals
5/5

I just returned from Uganda where I did safari for 14 days. Though it was rainy season reputed to be had to spot animals I saw them. It was either that I was lucky or I got a guide who knew what he was doing. However, due to rain, it was crucial to have a very good driver as the road was very difficult to pass through as times and the truck was easily stuck by the mud. Luckily, thanks to East African Jungle Safaris who not only made the trip but also arranged a highly experienced driver for us. Was just like a superman in all kind of risky conditions guided us to see as many animals and adventures as possible. And yet it was fun and adventurous throughout. When we shared our concerns about not been so lucky to see the animals because of rain he said thus for the unprofessional. We were ordered not to worry and stay relaxed.

East African Jungle Safaris provided excellent service for the days we were in Uganda.
5/5

East African Jungle Safaris provided excellent service for the days we were in Uganda. The staffs are very nice people and food was delicious. We always had a hot meal in the jungle and on time. Our tour guide Willy is very experienced, he provided the info on cultural, Historical and heritage to our group. He arranged all activities on time, and in safest way. He also was very smart at spotting animals and knew where they dwell. He at times made calls to track them even before we knew he was doing so. Thanks to Willy and his team for making this experience happen for us.

Really enjoyed
5/5

Everything was well executed, the guide was on time to pick us up from the hotel. The weather was favorable, it rained a few times. The nature is incredibly beautiful. Our guide and driver was really on top, taking us there and back even though the flooded river was an obstacle. Due to the rains, we face some difficulties on the road. The accommodation was ok, the food could have been better.Really enjoyed there saffari service.

Awesome experience
5/5

I did a five day tour and had a great time exploring Uganda! From pick up till the end everything was fine. The communication before I came to Uganda was easy, responses came quickly and I got all the information I needed. My guide/driver Willy was a perfect host! He told me a lot about Uganda and I felt very safe no matter which road we were on. I liked all of the accomodations, and though I've booked the camping/basic fare, I was positively surprised by the standards. Thanks for a perfect experience in Uganda!

The review below is the personal opinion of Teresa and not that of SafariBookings.
The guide didn’t know much. He barely talked, unless I asked him a question.
2/5

The guide lacked communication skills. He didn’t have enough knowledge about birds or animals in general. The customer service was very poor, even though I was the only customer in the excursion because everyone else cancelled due to Covid 19.
A day before my last day, I found out I needed a Covid 19 test and I asked the owner to find a place in Entebbe for me to do it. We drove 8 long hours from the mountain to Entebbe. The guide never showed me or say anything, unless I asked something. I never heard from the owner. We waisted a lot of time looking for a clinic. I had to stayed in Entebbe two more days, I had to pay for another plane to Dubai and for another hotel in Dubai. I wasted a lot of money and time because the owner Couldn’t help me.
My experience with the Gorillas was great but not thanks to this company.
In general, I don’t recommend this company.

Dear Teresa.

Thanks for the review about the 6 Days tours you recently concluded with us here in Uganda, we thank God that we managed to deliver on all what the itinerary stipulated, I would like to let the world know that Uganda Tourism opened on 1st Oct and Teresa was the very first foreign tourist in Uganda because she landed at 03:00am on the 1st of Oct. Teresa did Chimp trekking in Kibale alone in the park and gorilla trekking in Bwindi alone, So East African Jungle Safaris ltd was the luckiest company to open most of the activities here in Uganda,
I would like to let people know that we worked overtime to see that this trip happened and all activities done, The client had issues on obtaining the visa to as she set off from the USA before the official opening of the airport in Uganda, I had to keep on advising the client that she will get the visa on arrival, She told me it’s not written anywhere that she can get it on arrival, Thank God she managed to get the visa on arrival, The client pressurized us that if we don’t open the country for tourism she will need a full refund, I tried to explain to her that the Gorilla and Chimp permits which we had already secured are non-refundable that we can only postpone to another date and she refused, She informed that she had to do the gorilla trek on her birthday 6th October, I advised her that she can do the trip on the next birthday that’s next year and she refused.
As a company we did all that we could to see that her trip would happen, from visa issues to the COVID19 test certificate needed here in Uganda valid 72 hours. I can as well defend the guide Willy who has been working for East African Jungle Safaris for 8 years, He knows this very itinerary even out of sleep he doesn’t even need a copy of a written itinerary, and many reviews were published on this very platform and others praising him for the great work.
The biggest challenge came on the second last day of the trip when they were at Lake Bunyonyi that’s over 400km from the capital, when madam Teresa told the guide that she need a COVID19 test of 95hrs before flying to Dubai, Remember the flight was scheduled for the next day, It was already late evening, We advised the client that we could do the test in Entebbe at Grade B Hospital where she was informed that she could only get the certificate in 24hrs because of the big number of tests they had to carry out. She told the guide to drive her to Fly Dubai office at Airport to see whether she can fly, The staff told her that it was impossible without a valid PCR certificate, She blasted them that they never told her in advance so that she could prepare, They informed her that it was the first banner on their website before anyone could buy a flight ticket. I can as well confirm that it was us that got her a private Doctor that did the test even though it was impossible to fly that day. The client came from USA and was ending to Dubai something we didn’t know. We can have all the information about the destinations here in East African but not for you’ next destinations abroad.
We recommend all clients to let us know the requirements of their next destination so that we could arrange the PCR test in time, in order to avoid any future embarrassments. We know the client is always right so we apologize for all that didn’t go well.

Best Regards

Fred

With a very knowledgable guide, saw plenty of animals and have a fantastic time in Tanzania.
5/5

What we had saw and experienced with East African Jungle Safaris was truly amazing. Our guide Ronald was just brilliant. He was always punctual, a lot of fun, knew all about the animals and where to find them and just made it a great trip. Accommodation and meals made by this company were fantastic and even the tented sites were really comfortable. While complete package we travelled to Tarangire NP, Manyara NP, Serengeti NP and the Ngorongoro Crater. We were very lucky to see Lion, Lepoard, Cheetah and so many elephants, wilderbeast, zebra, hyena, gazelle just so many animals. The weather was just perfect and we were lucky to be a bit early in the season so had sites generally to our selves. The vehicle we had was very comfortable and we would have no hesitation to recommending East African Jungle Safaris.
