Fantastic accommodations, great food, adventurous safari and an experienced safari guide
Lion King Adventures were professional from our first communication and planning, to the safari itself. The accommodations they had picked for us were really great. Especially Maraboi Tented Camp is highly recommended. Our guide, Salehe, was very pleasant and experienced. He could spot animals like no one else and he had much knowledge about them. We ran into some car-trouble, and he was a mechanic too :) . Calmly he fixed our vehicle with no interruption to our trip. We are very satisfied with our safari trip and I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures.

Simply amazing!!!
Choosing Lion King Adventures was the best thing! We recommend it very highly. From the planning to the end of the safari everything worked so well. The office staff replied very fast to all our questions.
Our guide Huruma is a gem! He is so passionate and talented in spotting the animals from far (without binoculars). A real eagle eye.
We felt safe all through our adventure, and he is a great driver too. He is also ethically the kind of guide we appreciate. He does not harrash the wildilfe and he does not waste food. The untouched food from lunch, that we could not finish (hot lunch, which was always very good and served on plates at the picnic areas with wine and beer if you want), was always given to the people working at the national parks (eg.toilets). These are the kind of little things that matter to us a lot!
We had some issues with our health; I am very bad with heat and my spouse had some stomach problems, and Huruma was so kind and understanding with our special needs. Always found a restroom when needed (the restrooms in the parks are good btw.) and turned the ac on in the jeep, when the roof was down, so I could tolerate the heat better. Drinks in the jeep's fridge were always cold which made my life with the heat a lot easier.
Jeep was always so clean in the morning eventhou after the safari day it was covered in dust.
The advantage of taking a private jeep, is that you can really tailor your own adventure. Huruma was very flexible when we wanted to change some plans due to our health issues and we also trusted him making some changes of plans based on his knowledge. Eg.instead of heading straight to Central Serengeti, we did a detour to southern Serengeti and that ended up being a great call.
Huruma is a guide that knows a lot, tells interesting things and answers all our questions, but can also enjoy the silence when you just want to feel the nature around you. The balance is everything. He has great sense of humour and he became like a friend to us in 5 days. We feel like we were lucky to get him as our guide.
Lion King is Tanzanian owned with Tanzanian bank account, which is what you should be looking for. We want our money to go to the locals not to Europe or US. We owe that to the locals when we are so fortunate that we get the chance to enjoy their nature and wildlife.
Also most of the accommodation we booked (Kubu kubu, Eileen's trees inn, Karatu Simba lodge) are Tanzanian owned. All this made us very happy travellers. The above accommodations were all great and atmospheric! (Midrange-luxury)
We were very lucky with the wildlife, spotted even the big five! So many zebras, wildebeest, elephants, lions, giraffes and some leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, hippos, buffalos. We could not be happier with what we experienced.
If we went back, we would choose Lion King again and request for Rafiki (a friend) Huruma to be our guide again!

Caroline and Pendo did an excellent job of preparing the itinerary and were very flexible to accommodate changes and parts that I had already booked myself. The communication and professionalism made things very easy.
The safari experience exceeded my expectations. We had a great Guide, Gama who used his special powers to locate any animal we asked! We saw all the big 5 plus many more. We even managed to spot lions everyday and even saw a a rhino on 4 separate occasions (very rare!). Gama was super knowledgeable about the animals and local people so he made sure we learned a lot!

Excellent 36 hour adventure
Goodluck could not have done more to help us experience all there was to witness - he really made sure it was the most incredibly special short safari - there was a cheetah, a lion kill with cubs and a mourning elephant - honestly it was magical.

Unforgettable Safari
I had an amazing time on my private safari tour with Lion King Adventures! My girlfriend and I were blown away by the incredible experience we had on this 6 day tour, which was organized to perfection and led by the exceptional guide, Lucas Goodluck. From the moment we set off from Arusha, we were captivated by the breathtaking beauty of Tarangiri National Park, Lake Manyara, South Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and the banana and rice Plantage in Mto Wa mbu, which included a visit to the local tribes that carve ebony wood.
Lucas was the perfect guide - extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time and that we saw all the animals we wanted to see. And what animals we saw! We were lucky enough to spot 2 leopards, more than 20 lions, a group of 4 cheetahs, 2 black rhinos, giraffes, elephants, several hippopotamus, and a whole host of different species of birds and other mammals. The whole experience was truly unforgettable.
I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience. The whole tour was very well organized, with excellent communication throughout, and the professionalism of Lucas made the experience even more special. Amazing Safari Experience
My husband and I wanted to design our own 10 day honeymoon safari, and we are so glad we chose Lion King Adventures! There are an overwhelming number of safari companies to choose from, but we would absolutely recommend Lion King! We had 6 full safari days, and ended our trip with a short beach getaway in Zanzibar.
Caroline and Pendo were so helpful in coming up with our itinerary, providing detailed information on all of the options, and making sure everything was easy and worry-free for our arrival and all of our transfers, despite a number of flight changes. Their carefully designed itinerary helped is to see as many national parks as possible during our time there. The combination of luxury lodges and tented camps that they chose for us were all very nice as well, and we had a lot of little romantic surprises at the accommodations, in addition to the few dinner and sundowner add-ons that we organized ahead of time.
We are so thankful to our guide, Salehe, for making our safari an incredible experience! He made every day fun and informative, answered all of our questions about the animals and Tanzania, and always made us feel safe with his careful on and off-road driving and navigation. We always had warm meals for lunch, lots of drinks, and plenty of bathroom stops, too! He made sure we made the most of our safari days (which were planned with us each evening for the next day) and that we got the opportunity to see all of the animals that we wanted to without feeling rushed. Thank you so much, Salehe, we will never forget our trip!

Best trip we have ever had!
We (husband/wife) just finished a 4-day safari with Lion King Adventures (Feb4-7). It was without a doubt the best vacation we have ever had. We cannot recommend this company and our guide Emil enough. The pre-tour communication, itinerary, spacious vehicle, lodging and most importantly our guide were all phenomenal! Emil was such a wealth of information, an expert driver/scouter and such a genuine person who was an absolute joy to be with. He really made the trip unforgettable.
We booked the midrange package and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The "tent" in the Serengeti was more luxurious than most hotels and it was a highlight waking up surrounded by wildlife. We saw the Big 5 on countless occasions along with all the other wildlife, beautiful scenery, Masai people and Tanzanian culture which was just as spectacular.
If you are considering booking with Lion King Adventures, do not hesitate and make sure to request Emil!

Beyond expectations
We took the 5-day best of mid-range Northern circuit. Unlike most travellers we first thought of going on a safari only two weeks before it actually happened. The Lion King team was really helpful in arranging our trip on such short notice with constant communication. Our trip with our guide Shafino was just marvelous. Thanks to him we have been able to see the big 9 and not only from the distance but mostly just a few meters apart. Looking a leopard or a lion in the eye, watching cheetahs eat their prey is a memory we will never forget.

Extremely easy to work with and obtain information.
My wife and I did an 8 day Safari in the northern part of Tanzania. Our guide and driver, Yusuph, was exceptional. He was always ready to help in any way. He knew where the animals would usually be and made out trip a memorable one. The lodges chosen by Lion King were each incredibly beautiful and comfortable, with stunning views. The information provided by Rose and Godwin at Lion King provided all of the answers we needed to proceed on this great adventure. If you're considering a Safari tour in Tanzania, you could not find a better company, or better people with whom to do business. We had an experience of which we will never forget. Do it. Unforgettable safari experience, fantastic throughout!
We decided last minute for a safari and booked with Lion king adventures on very short notice (1 week! )
They handled our request very quickly and professionally, tailoring the experience for us to perfection. Everything was simple to set up, in a safe and organized manner.
The safari itself was wonderful. Our guide Joseph made sure that we never lacked anything, and we managed to see everything we wanted. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we got excellent viewing angles and great photo opportunities! He put a lot of effort into the game drives and the whole experience, we could not have asked for more. We felt very Well taken care of with him.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience with a great guide, can warmly recommend to everyone.
