Experience of a Lifetime
Just got back to the United States from a private 16 day Tanzanian Safari with Lion King Adventures. Our guide for 14 of the 16 days was Gilbert. I cannot begin to speak highly enough about his knowledge and willingness to accommodate any requests we had along the way. We were treated like royalty from the moment we landed in Kilimanjaro to the day we left. Gilbert made sure they we were informed every step of the way and there were no surprises. I would highly recommend others considering utilizing the services of Lion King.

Knowledgeable, caring, reliable
We planned this Safari trip a month before we fly to Tanzania. We were provided personalized quote and detailed Itinerary through emails. Thanks to Caroline, all schedules and policies were explained well; and the effective communications made the reservation process smooth and professional.
During this 6-days safari trip, all activities and routines were arranged reasonably; from relaxing to wild and back to relaxing. We modified first day with hot spring swimming as we arrived in Arusha early morning and had a few hours fun time. We met our guide Shafino on day-2 and he was our driver, spotter, encyclopedia and lunch server, and he nailed it! He is a wildlife lover and safari master that he spotted wild animals from miles away and answered all our questions about their behaviors and features. We saw all expected animals on the list and much more beyond. Shafino was also knowledgeable with all birds and plants during the trip. He knows the roads and places to find which animals as... Read more it is his second home. He can even also introduce us the history or culture of the local people and towns. We can literally ask him anything about what we see on our way.
The daily schedule for meals and accommodation was we left in early morning after breakfast, had picnic lunch(freshly prepared in the mornings) , and arrived to lodges 1-2 hours before dinner time and thus we had enough time to rest and chill. We had unlimited drinking water and also had complimentary wine, beer and softdrinks in the frige of the car. The whole trip is totally safe and enjoyable.
Every single thing in our experience was unforgettable and amazing. We are so pleasured to do this with Lion King Adventures and Shafino. Thank you!

Very knowledgeable and responsive - they delivered a great tour.
It was a pleasure making all the plans with a company run by a former tour guide that knows how to provide the best experience. The service was top notch, they were completely reliable and we had a fantastic experience. It could not have been better. And, our guide was exceptional. I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job, being as responsive, and knowledgeable of all the animals in East Africa. It was simply a pleasure going with our guide, Gilbert, and Lion King.

We recently went on a 7 Day custom Safari tour in Tanzania with Lion King Adventures, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The wildlife sightings were simply amazing, and we were fortunate enough to see so many different animals in their natural habitats. We saw lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, various antelopes, hyenas, jackals, foxes, hippos, crocodiles, and countless varieties of birds. It was a true feast for the eyes!
We stayed at some lovely lodges arranged by Lion King Adventures, which were safe and comfortable. The lodges were surrounded by elephants, Wildebeest, zebras, bucks, cheetahs, and leopards, but the staff took great care to ensure our safety at all times.
The service provided by Lion King Adventures was top-notch from start to finish. A special mention goes to our guide, Gama, who was simply fantastic. He made the trip more fun with his smile and enthusiasm, and he was one of the best guides anyone could have asked for. Gama was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, and he made sure that we saw all the Big 5 game animals and many more. He was great at showcasing the best that Tanzania parks safari has to offer, and he was always ready to answer any questions we had about the wildlife or the parks.
Overall, I can't recommend Lion King Adventures enough. The team went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our trip was taken care of, and they truly made it a trip of a lifetime. Thank you to Caroline, Pendo, and Gama for making this such a special experience!

Lifetime experience
We chose the safari for our honeymoon. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget. Everything was perfectly organized, and we felt completely safe at all times. On top of that our driver could spot animals from miles away. Gama was the best driver we could ask for!

Reliable, punctual, excellent
The safari was fantastic, the driver/guide very good in his job, a lot of experience and knowledge about the animals.
Communication was a little less, but after a discussion about this, we was working on it directly.

Amazing Safari! Perfect trip thanks to Lion King and Salehe!
We did an incredibly amazing 8-day safari (Tarangire,Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorogoro and Manyara National Parks) in February 2023. Looking for a local agency, we finally chose Lion King Adventures. From the planning to the end of the safari everything worked so well. The office staff replied very fast to all our questions in preparation of the safari and our guide Salehe did an extraordinary job on the spot. We can definitely recommend this agency.
Salehe not only showed us many hidden animals, but he told us a lot of interesting facts about nature, people and culture of Tanzania. We saw the Big 5 and many more. We'd like to especially highlight his careful driving (on and offroad) always felt safe on the bumpy roads of Tanzania. At the same time he was always friendly, funny and caring and that in perfect English. Thank you so much!!

Incredible agency to do safari, their attention from the beginning was excellent, having fluid and fast communication by emails. In addition, the attention of David, who was our guide, was very good, always being aware of our needs and making us feel very comfortable and happy to live this experience.

Exceptional
In truth, I was a bit nervous about booking this sort of holiday over the internet but I needn’t have worried. Rose and the office team were great at answering questions and incredibly helpful when Precision Air (AVOID!) lost my luggage prior to arrival at Kilimanjaro airport.
Mwita my driver/guide was awesome! A careful and law-abiding driver, a knowledgeable and informative guide….and a really friendly and pleasant person! As a solo, female traveller, I felt safe throughout.
I chose the ‘mid-range’ accommodation option. All the hotels were spotlessly clean and very comfortable with delicious food and friendly staff.
The game viewing was superb! So many animals and birds and most really close to the vehicle.
The hot air balloon was amazing - one item off my bucket list! I’d definitely go again!
If you are wondering whether to book with Lion King, I’d say “Go for it!” I certainly had the holiday of a lifetime. I just wish it could have been longer.

Fantastic accommodations, great food, adventurous safari and an experienced safari guide
Lion King Adventures were professional from our first communication and planning, to the safari itself. The accommodations they had picked for us were really great. Especially Maraboi Tented Camp is highly recommended. Our guide, Salehe, was very pleasant and experienced. He could spot animals like no one else and he had much knowledge about them. We ran into some car-trouble, and he was a mechanic too :) . Calmly he fixed our vehicle with no interruption to our trip. We are very satisfied with our safari trip and I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures.
