Incredible experience and outstanding service, highly recommended
Wow, I don’t even know where to begin. Everything about Lion King Adventure has been absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning preparing the quote for us, we contacted 2 other agencies but we could immediately tell this was going to be the best. The quote was clear and very detailed. Our trip was beyond amazing. They take care of EVERYTHING down to the smallest details. I’ll try and recap the main highlights
- Pre-departure: they gave us very detailed and clear information about the trip, including all we needed to prep (clothes, vaccination, weather and other tips). I didn’t have to look anything up on my own, they provided it all. And all questions were answered in less than 24 hours (accounting for time zone)
- arrivals: super easy pick up at airport.
- lodges and accommodations: incredible! All places we went to were way beyond our expectations. Incredible service from everyone. I particularly loved the fact that all lodges were locally owned and supporting the local communities. I could also tell that we got some special treatments for being with Lion King, such as preferential check in, and warm packed meals for our lunches (instead of cold lunch packs). We saw everyone packing their own lunch in the morning but we never had to worry about that. Our guide took care of it all and it was all warm food, a whole spread! I would have never found these incredible lodges on my own.
- safari experience: this is a private experience so it was just me and my husband on the whole trip with our own dedicated guide for the whole trip. The cars were really cool and clean, with all you need including chargers and cooler for drinks. We went to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Everything was just a dream. I never thought we woudl be able to see animals so up close! And we always felt perfectly safe with our guide.
- guide: I cannot recommend Shafino enough. He was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond! He effortlessly drove around hard terrain while also spotting wildlife. He was incredibly knowledgeable, with so many facts about each animal, there was no question he couldn’t answer. We had really long days and he never delivers anything less than top level service. Thanks to his incredible amount of effort and expertise, we were able to spot ALL big 5 (including 4 rhinos!!) and other rare animals such as Serval cats and Caracals. We also witnessed lions with a fresh kill and others mating. He drove for hours to make sure we would see each animal on our list. He also had great tips about how to take photos (very useful for newbie photographers like us) and would move the car around to help us get the best shot. I would definitely recommend Shafino as your guide!
Overall, I know there are a lot of agencies to choose from but I’m so happy with Lion King and would (and will!) book with them again. The level of service, professionalism, safety, cleanliness (Shafino cleaned our car every night!), attention to detail cannot be beat. A safari is for lost a once in a lifetime experience, so it’s important to book with the best, and both Lion King and Shafino were hands down the best in the business!

I cannot recommend Lion King Adventures enough. Everything exceeded our group of 8’s expectations. From the moment they picked us up from the airport until the airport drop off on the last day was seriously top notch customer service. The lunch provided on Safari was SO good (I looked around at other lunches while at the picnic sites and LKA’s lunch beat everyone else’s by far).
Our tour guides Richard and Mwita are walking encyclopedias that took our experience over the top. The friendliest, most knowledgeable guys, we couldn’t have asked for better guides with us. They had an answer for every question we asked, were very patient with our rowdy group, and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see. Asante sana Richard, Mwita, and Lion King Adventures for the most unforgettable experience that made us never want to leave. We will miss you!!!

UNREAL/AMAZING experience
Just finished a 3 day safari through Tarangire National park, Ngorogoro Crater, and Lake Manyara with Lion King Adventures and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Our guides Richard and Miwata were absolutely amazing. They were so knowledgeable when it came to the birds, trees, grass, people, animals, etc etc the list goes on a on! We saw 4/5 of the big 5! When you book with Lion King Adventures, request them!! The safari car was clean and well kept and always stocked with what we needed and was very comfortable. I could not recommend Lion King adventures enough! Our group will return to Africa again and we will be requesting them as our guides!!

Amazing!!!
From the very beginning this experience was a dream! Richard and Mwita were so gracious and knowledgeable. They became like family and I was truly sad for it to be over. They exceeded every expectation and I saw more animals than I ever could have imagined. We learned so many facts about each animal and bird we saw. The accommodations were also incredible. I truly don’t think the pictures do it justice; they are stunning! I’m already planning another trip with Lion King and will recommend them to everyone I talk to. If I could leave more than five stars I would.

Wow! Beyond our wildest expectations!
Our entire experience with Lion King Adventures exceeded our expectations, from the time of our first inquiry, to their patience in answering all of our questions, and customizing our itinerary to meet our desires and budget. Every step was well coordinated and executed. Our guide, Gama, made us feel welcome and comfortable from the start and quickly felt like family. He was able to make every day of our adventure better than the day before! His ability to spot animals and maneuver the vehicle meant we saw every animal on our wish list up close and personal… plus many more! He taught us about the animals and their environment, as well as about Tanzania and the culture. Never did we imagine setting and experiencing so much in just 6 days! We highly recommend by Lion King Adventures and would definitely use them again! Ask for Gama for the best guide ever!

Great Experience with Gelbert in Serengeti
I and my friends just came back from serengeti, and we are very grateful to our guide and driver Gelbert. He is a staff member of lionking travel company, and he provided us with seven days of quality service. Gelbert is a very knowledgeable and experienced guide, he can take us to see various animals, and explain to us their characteristics and habits. He can also accurately find the location and time of animal activity in the grassland without signs. Gelbert is also a very considerate and friendly person, he will arrange the itinerary according to our needs and preferences. He will stop the car when we want to take pictures, let us enjoy and record the beautiful scenery. He will also chat with us, joke with us, make us feel relaxed and happy. Gelbert is not only an excellent guide and driver, but also a person who loves nature and animals. He told us that he studied animals and environment, so he has a lot of feelings for serengeti, he hopes to protect this beautiful land and the creatures living on it. He also taught us how to respect nature and animals, not to disturb their life and environment.

Lifetime experience
We done the safari tour in Taranguire, Serengueti (2 days), Ngorongoro and Lake Mayara and it was a wonderful experience. The landscape, the animals, the great and polite local people we met, everything was awesome. We are very thankful to our guide Salehe, who made our days much better with patience to search for the better spots, with kindness and a great spirit. Communication in english wasn't a problem. Another highlight was the Serengueti hotel, Nyota Luxury Tented Camp, a real gem inside The wild. I'm really thankful for finding this great agency and for having such an lifetime experience like this.
