Jabir is the most amazing safari tour guide!
My husband and I recently completed a private four-day safari tour in Tanzania via Lion King Adventures and it was absolutely the most amazing experience! From start to finish, Lion King was reasonably priced, communicative, professional, and organized. Our tour guide, Jabir, was absolutely phenomenal! He was professional, punctual, passionate, warm, kind, and patient. He was incredibly intelligent and very knowledgeable about Tanzania: the parks and conservation areas, all of the animals and birds, plants, local culture, and so much more. Jabir worked very hard to make sure we had the most wonderful safari experience. We would highly recommend Lion King Adventures and specifically, Jabir, as a tour guide!!!

Extraordinary Safari Experience
We did the classic Northern Circuit (Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro) for total of 13 Days. Our family had a truly memorable first safari trip with Lion King Adventures. Everything was seamless - thanks to Maria and Florida, who were patient, flexible, and incredibly helpful with our many accommodation requests(mostly luxury+ accom and also we were very picky). Sometimes you also have to be patient with them, as their replies can be a bit slow. Tuma, our guide in Arusha, was friendly, and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from airport transfers to showing us around the city.
The highlight of this trip was our safari guide, Frederick (“Freddy,” as my son calls him). We felt incredibly lucky to have him all throughout. A great guide is what makes a safari extra special and he exceeded all our expectations.
Freddy’s positive and cheerful attitude, punctuality, patience with our curious 6 years old, and ability to make us feel comfortable and safe made all the difference. He is deeply knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and birdlife, never rushed us at sightings, and always explained animal behavior in an engaging way. His “wife”(as he jokingly
calls his safari jeep) was amazingly clean every day. ;-)
Thanks to Freddy, we saw many animals especially the Big Five and had unforgettable moments, including a cheetah and her 5 cubs, a big herd of elephants passing behind our jeep, a lioness resting beside us, and a rare leopard sighting on the main road of the Ngorongoro Crater. His spotting skills and instinct for animal movement were truly impressive.
He’s also a talented photographer — helped me with my photography and always positioned the jeep for the best angles.
This was absolutely our best trip and despite being the rainy season, we had the best weather! By the end of the safari, Freddy felt more like family than just a guide. He is a real gem at Lion King Adventures, and we would gladly recommend him to any friends visiting Tanzania. We hope to return one day for another safari with him—maybe during the Great Migration! Fantastic safari, excellent guide, fun accommodations.
We booked a 5-6 day safari and I think that was the perfect length. Hotels were nice overall, the best being the Embalakai camps in the Serengeti just for the immersive experience. Our guide David was fantastic; he was very knowledgeable, navigated the difficult roads like it was nothing and was extremely skilled at finding even the most elusive animals. Communication from the company was great and made our experience in Tanzania smooth from arrival til departure.

Unforgettable 3-Day Safari with an Exceptional Guide 🦁✨
We had an absolutely incredible 3-day safari with Lion King Adventures! Everything was perfectly organised, and the experience exceeded all expectations.
Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater were both breathtaking—so diverse and full of wildlife. Every game drive felt special, and we saw so much more than we ever imagined.
A huge highlight of our trip was our guide, Shabi. He was truly phenomenal—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the parks and the animals. He went the extra mile every single day to help us spot the Big Five, always making sure we had the best possible experience.

Amazing food, great guide, rainy season adventure
There were two things we loved about Lion King Adventures:
1. They easily were willing to setup whatever trip we wanted. They helped us do a small plane flight to the Serengeti rather than drive which gave us more time to see the animals. When we ran into some unforeseen weather difficulties, they did everything they could to make sure we still saw everything we wanted to.
2. We were really concerned with the food, especially with my celiac diagnosis. But we actually a pretty good food experience! We did learn however that your food experience depends on the lodge you stay in. Our first couple of nights we stayed at Land of Nature and ate so well (tasty vegetables, hot food for lunch, made gluten free rice donuts and breads for me). Our second lodging experience was still good but felt a bit more rushed and wasn't kept in the same nice warm thermoses that we had at Land of Nature. That may have also been because it was our last day and we were a bit behind schedule. We also had to take breakfast boxes that morning, and even though we noted I had a gluten allergy, my box was full of gluten-ful breads.
If we were ever to go on safari again (which I truly hope we do!) I will not hesitate to book with Lion King Adventures again. Our experience was phenomenal. We felt so taken care of and had a very magical experience.

Well organized

Exceptional safari experience with outstanding service, planning, and unforgettable moments
Our experience with Lion King Adventures was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Communication was clear, timely, and very helpful throughout the planning process, and every detail of the trip was thoughtfully arranged. Our guide, Gilbert, was professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about wildlife, which made every game drive both exciting and educational. We visited incredible locations including the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, where we saw an amazing variety of animals in beautiful natural settings.
The itinerary was perfectly balanced, allowing us to experience the adventure of safari while still enjoying comfortable and welcoming lodges. Transportation was smooth and reliable, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. One of the highlights was how seamless the coordination was between different parts of the trip, including our transition to Zanzibar for relaxation and diving.
A particularly special moment was celebrating our anniversary during the trip. With the help of the Lion King Adventures team, we were able to coordinate a beautiful and intimate surprise that made the experience even more meaningful. Their attention to detail and willingness to help make this moment perfect truly meant a lot to us and created a memory we will cherish forever.
Lion King Adventures delivered excellent value for the quality of service provided, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The memories we created on this trip will last a lifetime, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professionally organized, stress-free, and truly unforgettable African safari.

A perfect bucket list trip to Tanzania thanks to Lion King Adventures
My husband and I went on a 5-day safari with Lion King Adventures in February after our Kilimanjaro hike and it was an incredible experience. The communication beforehand was excellent — we knew we wanted to visit the Ngorogoro Crater but aside from that we weren’t sure which parks were best to see with our budget and schedule, and Maria crafted us an itinerary that was perfect for our interest and for the time of year we were visiting (as it included an incredible trip to the Ndutu seasonal migration area). Once we booked, communication was equally good from Nickson, and we felt well-prepared for the trip.
When we were collected by our guide on the first morning of the safari, the experience only got better. Our guide Goodluck was genuinely amazing, an encyclopedia of knowledge. He could spot and identify every animal, bird, tree, plant… everything, even at a distance, and he knew so much about them and shared so much information.
Over the course of our safari, we saw not only the Big 5 but dozens of other species, and we had some amazing moments like watching a mother cheetah hunt for her cubs, seeing a leopard walking between the trees, and having a herd of elephant mothers and babies walk within feet of our vehicle. What an experience!
The vehicle we were in was comfortable and seemed really well-maintained. And the accommodation that Lion King Adventures organized for us was also really good quality at a reasonable price that fit our budget. I would recommend Lion King Adventures to anyone who is considering a safari in Tanzania.

The safari was absolutely wonderful!
The safari was absolutely wonderful! Thanks to Abu we saw the Big 5 not once but twice. And also many other animals like cheetas, giraffes and the big migration of wildebeest (and zebras). He put a lot of effort in our trip to make it the best time possible and knows a lot about the animals and nature. Also the lodges arranged by the company were amazing. For us it felt like a luxury safari instead of midrange. I can highly recommend this company.

We just finished a 6-day safari with Lion King Adventures – and honestly, we’re still processing what we experienced.
From the very first moment, everything was perfectly organized, smooth, and professional. But what truly made this trip exceptional was our guide, Haruni.
Haruni is not just a guide – he is the reason this safari became something unforgettable.
His ability to spot animals is simply incredible. We saw an unbelievable variety of wildlife, often in situations that felt almost unreal – from a leopard resting in a tree to large herds of elephants, giraffes passing right next to the car, and even multiple big cats in a single day. It never felt rushed or forced. He always seemed to know where to go, when to wait, and how to position us perfectly without disturbing the animals.
But beyond his skills, what really stood out was him as a person.
Haruni is warm, calm, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. We had so many relaxed and fun conversations during the drives, and even in the evenings – whether sitting together for dinner or around the campfire. He speaks very good German, which made everything even easier and more personal for us.
There was never any pressure, never any stress – just a feeling of being in very good hands.
The entire experience felt natural, unforced, and somehow very “real”. Not like a typical tourist trip, but more like being guided through something special by someone who truly loves what he does.
Lion King Adventures delivered a fantastic safari overall – great planning, beautiful lodges, and a seamless experience from start to finish.
But Haruni made it extraordinary.
