Amboseli was very rewarding for me, especially because Mount Kilimanjaro showed up clearly. I can imagine the experience feeling very different when the mountain is hidden by clouds, since it is such a big part of the scenery there.

Excellent place to view large herds of Elephants but much of the park taken up by the flooded lake in June 2026.

Amboseli is a place for elephant lovers. And Mount Kilimanjaro view as background is iconic!

Kilimanjaro was in clouds, so missed the main goal of our visit there; we've already seen the animals in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru

in this photogenic park seated at the base of the great Mt. Kilimanjaro. This small park boasts guaranteed sightings of large-tusked elephants.
