They are good but can organise themselves better.
Our guide Andrew, also known as Kamou, was extraordinary. He was incredibly patient with all our questions about wildlife and beyond, and his overall knowledge made the trip special. Never missed an opportunity for a good animal sighting.
I would definitely request him as our guide for our next visit to Northern Kenya. He’s a total rockstar!
The locations — Mara, Nakuru, and Naivasha — were all breathtaking and truly speak for themselves.
*Food*
Meals were fairly standard across all locations: boiled, fried, or sautéed vegetables, rice, lentils, and chicken or beef. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor.
*Overall*: It was a great experience.
*Areas for Improvement with Jocky*
1. *Pickups*: On the day of hotel pickup, we had to follow up multiple times. One co-traveler wasn’t picked up at all and only joined us 2 hours later.
2. *Itinerary Changes*: Plans with Jocky often seem to change last-minute based on logistics. On the last day, drop-offs to hotels/JKIA were inconsistent — some of us got a separate car, others were booked an Uber/Bolt. Eventually, we all got dropped off as promised.
3. *Accommodation*: For the price Jocky charged, the accommodations were below average. I recommend customizing your stay — photos online can be misleading.
*Accommodation Notes:*
- *Masai Mara - Mara Lenchada Tented Camp*: Very basic. Bathroom was run-down. Lights are off from 11:30 PM to 4:30 AM, which seems standard for Mara camps. Bring a torch/phone light.
- *Nakuru - Hill Court Hotel*: Cold morning with only lukewarm water. Dinner and breakfast buffet were decent. We were originally booked at Nakuru Buraha Zenoni
Hotel — not sure how it compares.
- *Naivasha - Chambai Hotel*: We got a good 2-bedroom flat for 3 people. However, no fan or AC made it warm with poor air circulation. Keeping windows open meant dealing with mosquitoes and traffic noise all night.
Overall, we had a great experience, but accommodation and logistics need work.

Excelent guide and driver Jimmy - Jocky Tours to discover the best of Masai Mara
Amazing tour on Masai Mara 3 days-2 nights.
I enjoyed half day a one full day of safari through Masai Mara watching all kind of species, including black rhino and leopard. Our excellent guide and driver, Jimmy always find the locations to look for each species, reading their behaviour to obtain the best photos and moments.

Unforgettable emotions
We had an unforgettable 6-day safari, and we are very thankful to our incredible guide and driver Ali! From day one, his professionalism, deep knowledge of wildlife, and incredible spotting skills blew us away. I had an absolutely wonderful safari experience with Jocky Tours and Safaris. Our guide Alex was outstanding. He is an excellent driver who skillfully avoided heavy vehicle traffic during our game drives. Thanks to him, we witnessed breathtaking sunrise and sunset over Mount Kilimanjaro, spotted the Big Five on the African savanna, and also met many friendly people along the way. Alex was attentive and helpful throughout the whole journey. I highly recommend Alex and this tour operator to every traveller coming to Kenya!

Easy and smooth organisation, extremely good choose of accommodations.
We had an absolutely wonderful 6-day safari through the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli, and a big part of what made the experience so special was our fantastic guide, Ali.
Ali is an exceptional guide and an incredibly skilled driver. We always felt safe and comfortable with him, even on some of the more challenging roads. His knowledge of nature and wildlife was impressive. He could spot animals hidden in the bush that we would never have noticed ourselves!
Beyond his professionalism and expertise, Ali also has a great sense of humour and brought so much fun and joy to our days.
We are very grateful to Ali for making our safari such an unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and skilled safari guide.

I would extra highlight accommodation choose. We had a mid-range safari, and it was totally worth the money! Extremely good accommodation after the all day safari game drive is exactly what you need.

James was very courteous, well-organized, and had an answer to every question we had.
Communication was very easy and always friendly. The accommodations were simple and clean.
The safari was spectacular. It began in the Masai Mara, where we saw many animals right on our first game drive, continued through Nakuru National Reserve, where we saw white and black rhinos, and ended at Amboseli National Reserve, where we saw many large elephant herds. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Memorable Masai Mari Visit
We had an awesome experience with Jocky Tours and Safaris visiting Maasai Mara! A big part of what made the trip so memorable was our excellent driver and guide, Jimmy. He was an outstanding driver, extremely patient, knowledgeable, and helpful, and always made sure we had the best possible views of the animals. From the comfortable drive from Nairobi with stops for a beautiful valley view, lunch, and local art shopping, to our game drives in Maasai Mara, everything was well organized and enjoyable. We saw an incredible variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants, and all of the Big Five, many at very close range. Watching the sunset with giraffes in the foreground and staying a little late to get a great view of a leopard were unforgettable highlights. The lodge was comfortable, with nice tents, a good restaurant and bar, and clean bathrooms with reliable hot water. On our final day, we visited a Maasai village and enjoyed learning about their culture, homes, lifestyle, traditional fire-making, and welcome dance before returning to Nairobi. An amazing safari experience filled with lifelong memories, highly recommended, especially with Jimmy as your guide!

I had an amazing time on my safari to the Maasai Mara with Jocky tours and safaris.From the moment we were picked up, everything was incredibly well-organized. The vehicles were comfortable, the accommodation was excellent, and the driver was very knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to see four of the big five animals, which was a dream come true! It was very well organized and we made such wonderful memories
We spent six days with our driver James and had the best time. We saw the Big Five and learned so much more about the animals. The camps and the hotel during the tour were fantastic. Everything was clean, the food was good, and the staff was very friendly.
