Outstanding
5/5

Jockey Tour operators are the most responsive, professional and capable tour operators. They responded quickly to every question I had, and were very patient and knowledgeable.

We spent 3 adventurous days at the Masai Mara Safari made even more exciting by our very capable, kind and knowledgeable driver Brian Ondigo. Brian is an expert driver and we felt safe with him. During the safari he took the time to make sure we saw all the animals and experienced the best views possible. He was also extremely patient with us as we took the time to make sure we captured the perfect photos. Overall, Brian was excellent! He was attentive to our needs, very professional, and his easygoing personality made our experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for a fun and rich adventure.

Perfect Safari Experience
5/5

We did a 4-day safari in the Masai Mara with Jocky Tours in Kenya, and it was an amazing experience.

After requesting it, we were picked up directly from our hotel and were able to leave our suitcases at the Jocky Tours office before the journey began. From there, we drove about six hours to the camp. Our driver, David Mukami, always stopped whenever we needed a bathroom break or anything else during the trip.

After the rather long and bumpy drive, we arrived at the camp, which was much better equipped than we had expected. We received a warm welcome and were able to put our belongings in our tent before enjoying our first lunch. The food took a little getting used to, but overall it was good. There was always rice or fried potatoes available, so even as a very picky eater, I was always able to find something to eat.

The tents were spacious and each had its own private bathroom with basic facilities. We had expected to share a communal bathroom, so this was a very pleasant surprise.
Our first game drive with David Mukami was fantastic. He answered all of our questions, was incredibly helpful, and did everything he could to make sure we had the best experience. He knew the park extremely well, which meant that by the second day we had already seen every animal living there. He always found the best viewing spots, and we were even lucky enough to witness the Great Migration with a river crossing—an absolutely breathtaking experience.

For lunch, we were given lunch boxes by the camp. Our request for vegetarian meals was always taken into account, which we really appreciated. The lunch boxes were okay, although nothing particularly special.

On the third day, we had the optional opportunity to visit a nearby Maasai village for $20 per person. It was interesting, but not something you absolutely have to do.

The fourth day at Lake Nakuru was spectacular as well. David continued to do everything he could to help us find the last missing member of the Big Five—the rhino. Thanks to his dedication, we succeeded!

The rest of our group had booked a 7-day safari, but everything was very well organized for us too. After Lake Nakuru, we were taken to our final lunch stop, where we were picked up separately. Our suitcases were already waiting for us, and another driver took us directly back to our hotel in Nairobi.

Overall, the safari exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend Jocky Tours to anyone visiting Kenya. A very special thank you goes to David Mukami—he was by far the best driver and guide we could have asked for. His knowledge of the parks was outstanding, he was incredibly kind, and he truly made our safari unforgettable.

Highly knowledgeable and professional.
5/5

We just completed an incredible 4-day safari with Jockey Tours, and it was an absolute trip of a lifetime. From start to finish, the entire experience was seamlessly organized, but what truly made this trip spectacular was our amazing guide, Tribon.
If you are booking with Jockey Tours, do yourself a huge favor and request Tribon. He is an exceptional guide whose knowledge of the wildlife, animal behavior, and local landscape is unmatched. Thanks to his incredible spotting skills, patience, and dedication, we saw more wildlife than we ever could have anticipated. He always went the extra mile to position the vehicle perfectly for photography and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time.
The 4-day itinerary was beautifully paced, offering a fantastic mix of different landscapes and habitats. Wrapping up the safari at Lake Nakuru was the absolute perfect grand finale. The scenery there is breathtaking, and the wildlife viewing—especially the rhinos and incredible birdlife—was stunning.
Thank you, Jockey Tours, and a massive thank you to Tribon for making this an adventure we will never forget. We couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Just Perfect in every way!!
5/5

Our safari in Kenya was truly the trip of a lifetime. Everything was perfectly organized from the moment we arrived. Our guide Dennis was professional, knowledgeable, and had an incredible ability to spot wildlife, making every game drive exciting.

We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, along with countless other amazing animals in their natural habitat.

The lodges were comfortable, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was excellent. Every day brought new adventures and unforgettable memories.

If you're considering a safari, I highly recommend this experience with Jocky Tours and the guide Dennis. Kenya is an incredible destination, and this trip exceeded all our expectations. We can't wait to come back!

Don't Hesitate to Book with Jocky Tours & Safari and Ask for Francis!
5/5

We just got back from an incredible safari with Jocky Tours, and a huge part of what made it so special was our driver/guide, Francis. I can't recommend him highly enough.

From the very start, Francis was professional and considerate — he was only a few minutes later than our agreed pickup time and was genuinely apologetic about it, even though we hadn't been waiting long at all. That set the tone for the whole trip. He's friendly, personable, and just easy to like. Each morning he clearly laid out the day's itinerary and what to expect, and in the jeep he did a fantastic job getting our whole group (this was a group tour) chatting and bonding with each other.

A quick note on the driving: Francis drives fast and can be a little aggressive behind the wheel, but this seems to be pretty standard for Nairobi traffic, and he never once made us feel unsafe. He was also great about logistics — planning in regular stops for washroom breaks, snacks, and ATM access, and always being clear about exactly when we'd be back on the road.

Francis's knowledge was a huge highlight. He pointed out interesting facts about the places we passed through and happily answered every question we threw at him, no matter how random, never once seeming annoyed. On our second day, he suggested adjusting our schedule to start earlier so we could try to catch predators out hunting — it was a brilliant call. We ended up seeing the Big Five, plus a cheetah, and it was clear that Francis's experience (he told us he's got almost 16 years under his belt), his radio communication with other guides, and his own sharp instincts made all the difference. He also seems very well respected by the other rangers and drivers — we kept finding ourselves near the front of the queue to see the lions, the leopard, and the cheetah, which says a lot about how well-liked and trusted he is among his peers.

One moment that really stood out: on day three, some of us went up in a hot air balloon and ended up returning to the group later than planned (we got a bit carried away watching more animals on the drive back — honestly, our fault, since we'd been warned we were running late while queuing to see another leopard). Francis didn't show a hint of irritation toward us about it, even though I suspect he had some words for the drivers who were supposed to get us back on time. It said a lot about his professionalism and his ability to just roll with things and make them work.

Even on the last day, when our group split — some heading to Amboseli, others of us finishing up — Francis made sure a driver was arranged to take us to our hotels at no extra charge (we tipped that driver ourselves), and he personally introduced us to make sure we felt taken care of.
All in all, Francis made this trip informative, fun, and genuinely memorable, and I'd seek him out by name for any future safari in Kenya.
As for Jocky Tours more broadly: communication throughout the booking process was excellent — responsive to emails, clear on costs, accommodation options, and the itinerary. Payment in person at the office was quick and easy, and my credit card was accepted without issue (just note there's a surcharge for card payments, while cash has none). If the rest of their guides are anywhere near Francis's level, you really can't go wrong booking with them.

Magical Amboseli
5/5

Joshua went above and beyond to show us animals and nature in Amboseli national park. He is super knowledgeable and loves sharing background information for all animals encounterd. Joshua is an excellent driver, patient and considerate of his guests and a fantastic animal spotted. He has spotted herds of elephants moving to the water early so we had 1:1 encounters from up close bringing us in the best viewing position . Highly recommended.
