Exciting and adventurous tour
Tour organised in detail and without any inconvenience. I found Papa John very cosy, prepared always available.
The days spent were adventurous and exciting, in search of the most dangerous and hidden animals.

Choosing a safari company as a solo female traveler took a lot of research, and after reading so many wonderful reviews about Jocky Tours, I felt confident I was making the right choice—and they absolutely exceeded my expectations! Our five-day safari in the Masai Mara was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by our incredible guide, Alex. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel like family. Thanks to his experience and dedication, we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five! He always went above and beyond to get us the best possible photo opportunities, making sure we had those special moments to capture and remember forever. Unforgettable experience in Masai Mara
The safari in the Masai Mara was an amazing experience. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five! We saw countless elephants, three black rhinos (one of them very close!), two leopards, a cheetah with her cubs, at least five lions, and many buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, baboons, gnus, zebras, wild boars, hyenas, and birds of all kinds.
I was travelling alone, but the group was very nice and we soon had a friendly connection.
My accommodation was the cheapest tent option available, so I didn't have particularly high expectations. However, it turned out to be better than expected, with a proper bed, a very useful mosquito net, and even a private bathroom. Food and drinking water were also provided.
Our guide, Papa Johns, is truly a master of his job. He knew so much about the animals and their behaviour, and his passion and enthusiasm for wildlife were evident throughout the safari. On top of that, he was kind and considerate towards both his guests and his colleagues. It was clear that he was well respected and appreciated by the people around him, and he handled every unexpected event with confidence and professionalism.
A fantastic experience, with incredible wildlife and an outstanding guide. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Masai Mara!

We had a 3 day safari and it was amazing!
We got to see the big 5 and all the animals that you would expect in a safari!
Our tour guide was really nice and took us to all the best spots!

Very knowledgeable and accomodating
We booked our trip through Jockey Tours. This is the worst tour company I have ever worked with.
Before we arrived in Kenya, we needed a letter stating where we were staying in order to get visas. We had to ask for many times and wait several days after requesting the letter to receive it.
The morning we were supposed to leave Nairobi to go on safari, the driver/tour guide Jockey Tours had scheduled did not show up, with no communication to us from Jockey Tours. After waiting for two hours, and transferring between 3 vehicles throughout the city of Nairobi, we finally got on the road to Maasai Mara. We were 30 minutes late for our first game drive in Maasai Mara because of the delay.
Enkorok Mara Camp, where Jockey Tours arranged for us to stay, could have used some improvements. My room, Simba, ran out of water, so only one of us got a shower. The waitress is very timid and not good at taking drink orders. The housekeeping staff thew away bottled water I left in my room, even though I was saving it for later. They did not clean the shower or refill the toilet paper. The wind was very noisy and blew the tent walls all night long.
We reserved a "family tent" at Enkorok, but Jockey Tours did not provide this information to the staff at the lodge, si we ended up with w separate rooms.
We added the extra tour of a Maasai village onto our package with Jockey Tours, but the company forgot to tell the villagers that ee had already paid, so the villagers tried to get more money from us.
Dennis Hinga is a safari driver / safari guide. Since the driver that Jockey Tours scheduldd didn't show up, Dennis agreed to drive us. He is amazing! So kind, such a good driver. Very knowledgeable about animals. He quickly found the big five for us to see in Maasai Mara. He was the best part of this trip!

Dennis Hinga was an amazing tour guide to Maasai Mara. He could spot an animal at a distance and point them out to our group. He was very good at reminding us the names of each type of animal. On our tour, he was able to show us all of the big 5 and the ugly 5, as well as many more animals. I would visit Maasai Mara with Dennis Hinga again!

The BEST experience of our lives! Absolutely an unforgettable safari!
WOW! Where do we even begin?! This was without a doubt one of the most incredible experiences of our lives! We honestly couldn’t have dreamed of a better safari. Everything was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish, and we are still struggling to believe how lucky we were to experience all of this!
We saw ALL of the Big Five, not just once, but several times!! Lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and even rhinos! On top of that, we saw cheetahs with their adorable BABIES, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, antelopes, warthogs, and so many other incredible animals. It was absolutely surreal seeing all these animals in their natural habitat. Every single game drive was full of excitement, and somehow it just kept getting better and better!
But what truly made this safari so special was our AMAZING guide, Papa Johns! We genuinely could not have asked for a better guide. He was absolutely incredible! His knowledge of the animals and the park was outstanding, and he somehow managed to find EVERYTHING! He knew exactly where to go, what to look for, and how to give us the best possible experience. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable safari. We honestly believe we wouldn’t have seen half as much without him. If you book with Jocky Tours, PLEASE ask for Papa Johns! You will not regret it!
And the craziest part? The price!! We paid so little for an experience that was worth SO much more. The value for money is honestly unbelievable. We never imagined that a budget-friendly safari could give us such an extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We would have happily paid much more for everything we got to see and experience!
We cannot recommend Jocky Tours and Safaris enough. If you’re considering booking a safari with them, DO IT! You will not regret a single second. This was truly one of the best things we have EVER done, and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
