The best experience ever
My 6 nights and 7 days safari experience in the Masai Mara with Jocky Tours and Safaris was absolutely incredible and honestly one of the best trips I have ever taken. Everything from the planning stage to the last day of the safari was handled professionally and with so much care. The team led by Moureen ensured that we were comfortable throughout the journey and every detail was perfectly organized.
The Masai Mara itself is truly magical. Spending several days there allowed us to experience so much more than just wildlife viewing. Every day brought something new and exciting. We witnessed lions hunting, elephants moving in herds, hippos relaxing by the river, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets across the endless plains. The game drives were long but never tiring because there was always something amazing to see. The beauty of nature in the Mara is difficult to describe unless you experience it yourself.
Our stay at Sarova Mara Game Camp and Ashnil Mara Camp made the safari even more memorable. Both accommodations offered a perfect luxury safari experience. The tents and rooms were elegant, spacious, and very comfortable. I loved how the camps blended luxury with the natural environment around them. Sitting outside in the evenings while enjoying the cool breeze and listening to the sounds of nature was such a peaceful experience.
The hospitality at both camps was exceptional. The staff were always smiling, helpful, and attentive. The food was fresh, delicious, and varied every day, which made the stay even better. Every evening after the game drives, it felt wonderful to return to such comfort and relaxation.
The highlight of the trip was definitely our guide, Francis Faru. Faru was simply outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about wildlife. He always knew where to find the animals and made sure we had the best safari experience possible. His driving skills, patience, and attention to detail made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey.
What I appreciated most about Faru was his personality. He was kind, calm, funny, and very easy to interact with. He answered all our questions with so much patience and shared interesting stories and facts during every drive. Thanks to him, we saw the Big Five and many unforgettable wildlife moments that I will cherish forever.
This safari exceeded all my expectations and gave me memories that will last a lifetime. If anyone is planning a safari in Kenya, I would highly recommend Jocky Tours and Safaris without hesitation. The combination of professional organization, luxury accommodation, and an exceptional guide like Francis who made this trip truly unforgettable.

I can confidently say that my 7-day Masai Mara only safari with Jocky Tours and Safaris was one of the most beautiful and unforgettable travel experiences of my life. Everything about the trip was perfectly arranged from start to finish, making the entire experience stress-free, enjoyable, and exciting.
The safari gave us enough time to truly explore and appreciate the beauty of the Masai Mara. Every morning we woke up early for game drives and each day felt different from the last. We saw lions resting under the balanite trees, large elephant families crossing the plains, cheetahs moving gracefully through the grass, and countless zebras and antelopes everywhere. One of the most unforgettable moments was watching a breathtaking Mara sunset while surrounded by wildlife a memory I will never forget.
The accommodations at Sarova Mara Game Camp and Ashnil Mara Camp were beyond amazing. Both camps offered luxury, comfort, and excellent service in the heart of nature. The rooms were beautifully designed, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The beds were cozy, the bathrooms were modern, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.
I especially loved the hospitality from the staff at both camps. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and always willing to assist. The meals were delicious with a great variety every day, and dining while overlooking the beautiful surroundings made the experience even more special. Returning to such luxurious accommodations after long game drives felt absolutely perfect.
A huge thank you goes to our guide, Francis Faru, who truly made this safari exceptional. Faru was knowledgeable, professional, patient, and very passionate about his work. He had an incredible ability to locate animals and always made sure we had the best viewing opportunities. Because of his experience and dedication, we managed to see the Big Five and many rare wildlife moments up close.
Faru was also very engaging and made every drive enjoyable with interesting facts, stories, and explanations about wildlife and the Masai Mara ecosystem. He made everyone feel comfortable and ensured we enjoyed every moment of the safari. His passion and energy added so much value to the trip.
This safari was everything I hoped for and more. I am grateful to Moureen from Jocky Tours and Safaris, Sarova and Ashnil, and especially Francis for creating such an unforgettable experience. Joketour was well organized with smooth logistics, but meals were repetitive over 7 days.
We’ve just returned from a 7-day safari in Kenya, and beyond the organization, what truly made the difference was our guide, Kikitu.
Everything was well planned from the start, which made the trip smooth and stress-free. But what really matters on a safari is the guide, and Kikitu was exceptional. He knows the roads, the parks, and the wildlife incredibly well, but also the people and the culture.
Always smiling, calm, and attentive, he adapted to us naturally and made every moment enjoyable. He didn’t just show us Kenya — he helped us understand it.
Of course, we’ll remember the landscapes and the animals, but also the small details, the conversations, and the feeling of being in good hands throughout the journey.
In the end, it felt less like a trip with Joketour, and more like a true “Kikitour” experience.

Fantastic!
My safari experience in Kenya was absolutely exceptional from beginning to end. The entire team showed an outstanding level of professionalism, kindness, and dedication throughout the trip. From the very first moment, I felt safe, welcomed, and extremely well taken care of.
Every member of the team was incredibly polite, respectful, and attentive at all times. What impressed me the most was how protective and responsible they were, always making sure that every guest felt comfortable and secure during the safari. Their driving skills were excellent, even on difficult terrain, which allowed me to enjoy the experience with complete confidence and peace of mind.
The guides had an impressive knowledge of the animals, their behaviour, and the entire ecosystem. Their passion for wildlife and nature could truly be felt in every explanation and every game drive. 3 days in Masai Mara with Jocky Tours was excellent. Our guide Joseph was incredible - he was timely, organized, and drove us around expertly telling us all about the reserve, animals, and Kenya overall. He definitely wanted us to have the best experience. The admin team was very responsive and this was a very smooth experience for a weekend adventure!

Stunning
We had an absolutely amazing safari experience with Africa Jocky Tours & Safaris and especially with our guide Francis. We have already done two safaris before, but this one was by far the best experience we have ever had.
From the very beginning, everything during the safari itself was perfectly organized and we felt safe, comfortable and truly welcomed throughout the entire trip. What made this safari so special was definitely Francis. You can immediately feel how passionate he is about nature and wildlife. His knowledge about the animals, the environment and the national parks was honestly incredible. He answered every single question we had with so much patience and enthusiasm and taught us so many interesting things during the tour.
Francis always went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience. He put in 110% effort every single day to help us spot the animals we dreamed of seeing and to make every moment unforgettable. Thanks to him, we saw so many beautiful animals and had countless magical moments during the safari. You could really tell that this is not “just a job” for him — he genuinely loves what he does and truly cares about giving his guests the best experience possible.
The landscapes, the wildlife, the atmosphere and the overall organization during the safari were simply perfect. Every detail on the tour itself was well planned and we always felt taken care of. All the staff we met during the safari itself were very kind and welcoming.
The only unfortunate part of the experience was the interaction with one woman at the office in Nairobi before the safari started. We had clearly agreed on a specific price beforehand via messages and email. At first, however, she tried to charge us a different price until we showed her the email confirmation with the previously agreed amount. Only after we insisted and showed the written confirmation was the correct agreed price accepted. During this interaction, she appeared visibly annoyed and the communication unfortunately did not feel very friendly or welcoming.
In addition, a different exchange rate than the official bank exchange rate was used for the payment, which resulted in us paying slightly more in the end. Financially it was not a major difference, but the handling of the situation did not feel completely transparent or professional to us.
Despite this experience at the Nairobi office, the safari itself was truly outstanding and Francis made this trip unforgettable for us. Because of him, this was still an incredible experience overall and one we would absolutely recommend to others visiting Kenya.
A huge thank you again to Francis for making this trip so special for us. We are extremely grateful and would choose this safari experience again anytime.

SPECTACULAR - the safari was splendid, all thanks to FARU (nickname of our guide, Francis)
They were super helpful and punctual.
First day was mostly travel, but FRANCIS managed to make the most of every second left and we saw lions, a cheetah, gazelles and much more. Fancis shared with us details about the animals, the herds, distinctive characteristics of the species. He is a living encyclopedia.

Everything was absolutely amazing. Francis coordinated everything like a chief, as he knows exactly where to go to find the best sights. He went definitely further than his job to make us happy, and for that, I am truly grateful. Thank you so much Francis!
Communication, reliability, value for money, and the tour itself were all absolutely perfect.
Only minus I had to mention (and I am sorry it acts as a "stain" to this review) is the very rude lady we had to deal with at the Jocky Tours office before starting the tour.
She 1) clearly pretended she never received any deposit while she definitely did, so that if you don't have proof in hand that you paid it, well you'll have to pay a second time, 2) pretends she does not know that we had agreed on a deal for the price, so that again, if you don't have any written proof you are screwed, 3) as she was pissed that we had a lower price than she seemingly would have liked, tried to round up the forex rate to make us pay more. When we would show her the real forex rate on google, her only answer was "my forex is the forex"..... I was not aware that Jocky Tours knew the forex rates better than Bloomberg ;) Instead of a customer-facing position, a cow-milking activity would probably be a more suitable profession for this lady!
Apart from this wrong start, an absolutely wonderful experience for sure!

Regarding the concerned raised at the office before the tour, we would like to clarify that the reason we requested proof of payment was because the deposit was unfortunately not reflecting on our side. We completely understand how frustrating that situation may have felt, but the request was only meant to help us verify the transaction correctly
In regard to the currency conversion, the exchange rate we were using was based on the current local market rate available to us at the moment, which may have differed slightly from the online rate you were checking.
Lastly, we sincerely apologize if our communication came across as rude or unpleasant in any way. That was never our intention. We always aim to assist our guest professionally and respectfully, and I am sorry if the interaction did not feel that way to you.

That was the best experience
Our guide and driver was Richard.
He spoke fluent Russian, even though he has never been to Russia. He could answer every question we had.
He knew all kinds of birds and animals and was able to spot them from a very long distance.
Richard was very patient with all our quirks and problems. He would patiently stop the car as many times as we wanted — for the toilet, coffee, souvenirs, an ATM, or a pharmacy. He even managed to find toilets for us inside the national parks.
He helped me organize a walking tour in Amboseli.
When I forgot my phone in the car, he drove back at night to return it to me.
He is an excellent driver — fast, but always safe.
Richard is the best guide, and I highly recommend him!
