Kilimanjaro Climb
5/5

Migration Kili was excellent! I was given full attention by the staff from beginning to end, and the climb was as smooth as I could have imagined. The head guide was very knowledgeable and the team made the transition from hike to campsite very easy, and the food was excellent. I could not have imagined a more enjoyable trip!

Last minute booking was handled very well.
5/5

From the onset of my booking, all options were explained and I managed to make a great choice. Even though it was last minute, Amos was super professional and checked on all aspects of my booking.
Being a solo traveller, this is what I need:guidance.

Climbing to the roof of Africa with the support of a dedicated company
5/5

Climbing Kilimanjaro was always going to be an exceptional experience, and it certainly lived up to that. The climb itself was challenging but incredibly rewarding - the support team were dedicated, friendly and professional, ensuring that I had everything I required to succeed.
I was recommended Migration and Kili Expedition through a Tanzanian friend, and was blown away by the level of support given by Amos (the director) outside of the actual climb - personally helping me with my onward travel arrangements and other logistical requirements. It really was like being with a close friend and I thank him for that. It made my overall experience in Moshi and the surrounding area something truly memorable.

Great Safari
5/5

We did the 9 day nature/culture + safari itinerary. The first few days were spent hiking in the South Pare Mountains - it was definitely a real African experience riding up the mountain in a packed SUV on rough roads, and the hiking was fairly challenging, but we had some wonderful views of the country and were always well fed. The Kitolie Home where we stayed before and after the trip was great, had hot water and a comfy bed. The coffee plantation tour was fantastic - more of a family operation than a big company, which I liked. Then we started the Safari part, which included Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide, Ninah, was superb at spotting animals for us to view, and we got to see many zebra/lion/elephant/wildebeast/giraffe/hyena etc. very close. We chose the tent camping option, so we got to stay at camp grounds inside the parks, which was really awesome. I would definitely recommend the company, especially for the safari portion they did a wonderful job and made sure we saw everything!

Unforgettable moment :) thank you
5/5

I was in Tanzania to do a sponsored climb of Kilimanjaro on behalf of the Nasio trust who supports orphaned children in Kenya.

The professionalism of the climbing team and especially of the chief guide Nicholaus Mathias was exceptional. Nicholaus has an in-depth knowledge of Kilimanjaro and the wildlife that resides there, information you won’t find in books. We were supported by great team of porters and cook, people I am still in regular contact with a year on, even listen to guns n roses and rob zombie with the crew on the climb, unforgettable moments ‘pole pole’.

Asanta sana Tanzania

The coffee tour and hike to the waterfall was a highlight of our family reunion.
4/5

There were 20 of us, ages 1-60. Our competent, safe driver picked us up in Moshi mid-morning. Our drive took us right up to the base of Kilimanjaro and to the village home of a family who grows coffee. We entered their tidy compound and were warmly greeted by our host and guide, Oscar. Oscar gave a good presentation on single source coffee. He demonstrated every step of the process of taking the bean from tree to cup. Everyone got a chance to try the husking machine (handmade by Oscars grandfather, I believe), to grind the beans by hand with a 'pilao', (huge mortar and pestle used for pounding grains into flour). Water boiled over the fire, the grounds were sprinkled liberally into the pot, and then the brew was poured through a strainer into our cups. A perfect cup! This was a most delightful event. Most of us ordered coffee which Oscar roasted and delivered to us the following day.
After our bag lunch, Oscar took us on the hike to the waterfall. Our path was well beaten, narrow and often had us teetering on the edge of the ridge. The views of the valley below, the village homes and the gardens took our breath away. Our guide peppered our walk with interesting facts about the culture and the flora and fauna around us. His love for his home sparked enthusiasm in all of us. We all made it to the waterfall after walking an easy 1+ hours (it took us longer than it might normally as we had small children making the trek). We spent some time playing in the water before it was time to hike back. This tour was so refreshing, fun for all ages. Our guide was excellent and communicated well in English. The logistics of this tour ran smoothly, thanks to Amos who accompanied us the whole day.

Asante to Innocent Mlaki - Migration & Kili Expedition Tours
5/5

I had such a fantastic safari with these guys and Innocent really made the whole experience for me. A very knowledgeable guy who was happy to answer the endless questions I bombarded him with.

I was so excited to see these animals in the wild and Innocent managed to spy things in the bushes that we could barely see even when he was pointing them out to us. Give this man a raise!

Great food, great organisation, and competitively priced

Asanteni sasa!
