A trip to South Africa wouldn’t be complete without a Safari.
We didn’t know what to expect but it was certainly worth it and left me with moments of wonder and awe of how beautiful and diverse nature is. Some really special and lasting memories…
Watching a leopard have its breakfast in a tree and a herd of elephants cross the evening river was spectacular as was all the other animals from warthogs to pyjama donkeys!
First thing in the morning and late evening were cold but hot chocolate and gin stops in some fantastic settings soon warmed you up.
Our lodge over looking the river was very peaceful, the afternoons were spent relaxing watching Hippos and Crocodiles from the balcony or the bath!
Food was excellent and staff were friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Sambavati Hill Top Lodge is first class and
Jolene at Safari.com who organised our trip was more than helpful and when we had to change our plans, nothing was too much trouble.

The safari planning experience and the trip itself was all EXCELLENT. I was a little hesitant about booking through the internet but the service was very personal. We got great service and they figured out an itenery within our budget. We had a customized trip (where we saw every animal out there) and got to do safaris in a couple places in Africa. It was all well planned and included everything we wanted. We will be back to bring our kids next time and we don’t normally go back to vacation spots. Dolan S. was a most superb operator !
We do all our own travel arranging UNTIL Africa. We used Dolan and Safari.com to arrange this trip. We work hard for our money. I’m not kidding it was a lot of money. But guess what, it was worth every penny!!! After you experience this trip, you forget the money. Communication SUPERB, service TOP rate. The money spent is far from your mind when you experience the 2 safaris we did. We did 2 safaris through Dolan and they were BEYOND AMAZING. Dolan also provided freebies of which we are very grateful. We rarely return to a place twice but this may be the exception. Big thanks to Dolan and his team for the trip of a lifetime. First contacted safari.com in February for our June trip. Zene Devine, our representative was very helpful in giving us different options, based on our budget. Communication was prompt and detailed throughout.
We took the actual trip last week and all the guides, transfers, and hotels/activities were excellent. Would highly recommended safari.com.

Safari club was a great place to stay. Views from our room were incredible, we saw a lot of animals including elephants. Staff were great as were the meals

Lynn was amazing getting everything set up for our safari. There was a specific river cruise I wanted to go on and she was able to hold a date while we confirmed evening at home. She was sure to send us all the information as needed and knew the billing schedule. We appreciated the deal with the travel insurance as well.
