Trip of a lifetime - Top class service! Absolutely amazing

It already feels like a while ago now, but it’s still such a wonderful memory—one I’m still talking about often! On behalf of Chris and myself, I want to say how appreciative we are of you and the services your company provided for our trip. We absolutely loved every minute of it, and now Chris expects this standard for every holiday. 😊
Regarding feedback for Pembury Tours, I would highly recommend the company to anyone. The service and the itinerary you created for us were brilliant. From start to finish, you made the whole process so easy. I gave you a brief with a rough budget, and we achieved it perfectly with a few thoughtful compromises.
Upon arrival in Cape Town, it was lovely to be greeted and to receive a handmade bag containing all our documents and itinerary—such a special touch that set the tone for the trip.
Cape Town – The Villa Rosa
We were really pleased that we switched to The Villa Rosa. The accommodation was lovely, our room had a small private outdoor seating area, and breakfast changed each morning, which we really enjoyed. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, and its location—close to the promenade—made it perfect for morning walks, even all the way to the V&A Waterfront on most days.
Jeffreys Bay
What a lovely village! The beaches were beautiful, the people very friendly, and the accommodation was incredible. Our apartment was gorgeous, and having breakfast made for us in our own kitchen was such a treat. The pool and garden were well kept, and the direct access to the beach was exactly what we were hoping for. During our stay, we even learned to surf—which is definitely harder than it looks!—and the school was only a short walk from our accommodation.
One of my favourite moments was sitting on the huge balcony each morning watching dolphins swim by. It really made the holiday extra special. The owners went above and beyond, recommending restaurants and even driving us to and from them in the evenings instead of us needing a taxi. That level of service was something we never expected but deeply appreciated.
Safari
Finally, onto the safari—the main reason for our trip to South Africa. It was absolutely fantastic, and again, we couldn’t fault the service we received. Everything exceeded our expectations.
Overall, this trip was nothing short of amazing. We’ve fallen in love with South Africa and are already thinking about returning for another holiday. You, your colleagues at Pembury Tours, and even the taxi drivers made everything so easy for us, and we’re incredibly grateful.

AMAZING!! trip to Southern Africa organized by Kerry Ririe of Pembury Tours
Our visit to southern Africa was, in a word, AMAZING. Thank you so much Kerry for working with us to design a fabulous custom itinerary. Travelling between 7 different locations in 4 countries in a 3 week trip we're sure was a logistical challenge. We could appreciate the complexities of arranging all the local flights, road transfers, personal guide excursions, border crossings, site-seeing activities, safari destinations, the river cruise and fabulous accommodations everywhere. You did an amazing job coordinating every step of our journey as everything went unbelievably smoothly.
We were so fortunate to be introduced to Pembury tours, and Kerry, your personal efforts putting the trip together with us were exceptional. Having no experience organizing a trip to a continent we knew nothing about, we appreciated the dialogue we had with you exploring the many options available. Susan from Pembury organizes the best, original, and innovative tours to South Africa!
Just returned from our 5th trip to South Africa organized by Susan from Pembury Tours. My sister and I have enjoyed tours to South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, and Tanzania with Pembury over the past 5 years and this is best way to see Africa. We have travelled with the best tour organizations in the US, but Pembury Tours is by far the best. It’s based in South Africa and knows all the special places to visit that are off the radar of the US companies. We have gone to Africa at least yearly for over 20 years and been to wonderful places. Pembury adds a personal touch. Susan sends us to a wide variety of places, each very special and different, and all top notch. Our recent trip focused on the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape, from the Karoo to the Cedarberg.
We loved both places and enjoyed the differences in terrain, wildlife, accommodation. Pembury trips are extremely well organized and make travel a pleasure. Susan actually met us at the airport this trip, an unexpected welcome after a long flight from the states. She has also arranged honeymoons from some of my friends and they have had a memorable time.
I can’t wait to plan another trip to Africa with Pembury. I know it will be special.

Outstanding tour organisation and management
Pembury Tours organized an outstanding trip to South Africa, taking us from the private reserves in the Kruger area to Cape Town and then to the Winelands. The planning and options arranged by Heidi were perfect and easy to manage. Even though we booked only three weeks before departure, she was able to secure excellent lodges and hotels, and coordinated tours, schedules, and transfers with great efficiency. On top of that, Heidi provided exceptional support by helping us recover a laptop forgotten at Johannesburg airport. Truly remarkable assistance! Thank you for everything, and we look forward to traveling with you again.

Unforgettable Safari & Cape Town experience
Our tour through South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana was nothing short of extraordinary. Great recommendations, plenty communication and support, couldn’t fault them.
Although I usually enjoy planning holidays myself, this was my first venture into Africa and I did some research on partnering with a local tour operator. Pembury Tours caught my eye with many fabulous 5* reviews and I made contact about 12 months before our trip.
Melanie responded quickly with plenty of ideas, taking on board things we knew we wanted in the itinerary, along with suggestions of things we hadn’t considered. Once we had confirmed our booking, Melanie was in regular communication to tweak and confirm aspects of bookings, so when the time of our trip came we had nothing less than 100% confidence that arrangements would be smooth.
And they were. From the initial meet and greet, accommodations and activities, all were put together with the expertise we had seen on other reviews, and Melanie included her number so we could message via WhatsApp if needed. In fact it was, as the weather in Cape Town didn’t play ball, and we had to swap some activities around - Melanie was still working late evening to rearrange things on one occasion.
We had 3 nights at Arathusa Safari Lodge in Sabi Sands which was a fabulous choice. We had seen the Big 5 within 2 safaris, and continued to see more sightings through the stay, as well as the resident hippos and elephants.
Our holiday was perfect, and much of that was down to the skill and judgement of Pembury Tours, and we would recommend them to anyone considering a similar tour.

It was amazing and the whole thing ran smoothly
We had an incredible safari experience from start to finish. Everything was organised perfectly – flights, transfers, accommodation, and game drives all went smoothly and exceeded expectations. The communication throughout the entire process was excellent, and every detail was handled with care, which made the whole trip completely stress-free.

Flawless organisation resulting in a stress free and stunning holiday
At short notice, Susan at Pembury Tours organised us an amazing family holiday. We were flying in from all over the world, but that was no problem for Susan who organised us airport transfers, day trips in Nairobi and the ultimate, a 5 day excursion to the Masai Mara. The communication before and during the holiday from Susan and their Tour Operators in Kenya was outstanding, making it so easy for us to enjoy the holiday as all the details were taken care of. This is the second time we have used Pembury Tours and are already planning a third.
