Great custom-made safari
We (4 people) spend 2 weeks on a private, custom-made Safari in Kenia and Tanzania with Roadside. A quick summary is that we had a wonderful time and definitely recommend them to anybody who wants a great experience.
Getting everything organized was easy and efficient, Zephania was very quick to answer all our questions and provide us with updates. We were able to take his base idea for the itinerary and customize it further to suit our needs - we added a park, added a night here and there, removed one stop as we had done it a few years back, nothing was ever an issue.
Once on the safari, everything went smoothly and according to plan. We were joined by three different guides (one at the beginning in Kenia, then one in Tanzania, and then another one in Kenia) and all of them were very flexible: if we wanted to set off a bit earlier, it was possible; if we wanted a full-day game drive without going back to the lodge for lunch, it was possible as well. In general, we stayed in the parks full days most of the time, and it was always possible. We are photographers with big lenses, and the guides were understanding and cooperative in terms of stopping the car for the best angles and lighting. They also seemed very passionate about their work, and we even got a few extras during our time there that were outside of our itinerary (shout out to Keffa for the second game drive in Nakuru and the boat ride in Naivasha). A very special thanks to Man man (Walter) for his enthusiasm and relentlessness, he really did all physically possible to show us what we desired to see (gnu crossing the Mara river!), and he always delivered. He was one of, if not the best, guide we've ever had, anywhere.
We are already planning on going back in a couple of years, and if we do, Roadside will definitely be the company we will contact to organize everything again.

Outstanding
My husband and I were heading to Tanzania for a 6-day safari with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, when I fell in Istanbul. By the time we reached Tanzania, I needed surgery. We postponed our safari until next year. They stood by us. Paul and the rest of his staff, and the hotel they booked for us (Mt.Meru Hotel), were so friendly, so helpful and always available when needed. We look forward to traveling with them next year.

4 Day Safari
We just returned from a 4-day safari with Tanzania Roadside Safari, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless, exciting, and beyond what we hoped for.
Our itinerary took us through the stunning landscapes of Tarangire National Park, the vast plains of the Serengeti, and the breathtaking beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater. Each destination was unique and full of incredible wildlife sightings — from elephants and lions to cheetahs, hippos, and even a leopard!
The accommodation throughout the trip was absolutely amazing. Each lodge and camp was comfortable, beautifully located, and well-appointed, providing the perfect balance of luxury and immersion in nature. What truly surprised us was the quality of the food — it was well beyond our expectations. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Definitely not what you’d expect in the middle of the bush!
But what truly made this trip unforgettable was our guide, Steven. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the animals, parks, and Tanzanian culture. More than that, he was incredibly accommodating, patient, and attentive to our needs throughout the journey. You can tell he has a real passion for what he does — and it showed every single day. Steven really made this trip what it was, and we feel lucky to have had him as our guide.
If you’re considering a safari in Tanzania, do not hesitate to book with Tanzania Roadside Safari. It was the trip of a lifetime, and we’re already dreaming of coming back!

A dream come true ✨
This trip exceeded all my expectations. We came here for our honeymoon and it was truly a dream come true. We had the opportunity to go on safari with Ezekiel and it was more than incredible. We saw lions up close, a cheetah with her cubs, we had lunch watching elephants one day, another day we had lunch watching lions. I can say that it was one of the best experiences of my life!!!! On the other hand, the accommodations were TOP, from the service to the facilities to the honeymoon surprises. I recommend Roadside a thousand times because everything was spectacular. I am attaching photos so you can see for yourselves.

Samuel is the passionate, protective, warm and knowledgeable guide we never knew we needed.
When you go on safari you only think of the excitement and adrenaline rush of seeing animals in their natural habitat, but I can assure you the guide is JUST as important.
We cannot say enough how AMAZING Samuel was!!! He made the experience that much more enjoyable!
As a group of 4 young women, we were elated to have him. He has such a calm and warm energy. You can also tell he is passionate about sharing his country with newcomers.
Most of all…he is a SAFE driver! That cannot be overstated. We saw many drivers who seemed overworked and tired. We even experienced another tour vehicle get flipped over by a reckless tour driver, but not our Sam! He kept us safe.
He also may have been our good luck charm! We saw lions up close! We saw everything we wanted to see. It was as if the heavens and nature granted our wishes.
As four women not knowing what to expect, it was a 10/10 experience.
Thank you Sam and Tanzania Roadside Expeditions!

Upmost Professionalism and Service!
Booked a 5 day private safari for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect! From the beginning phases of planning, Zepha was very responsive and planned everything to ensure we were able to secure the lodging that we preferred with our travel dates. He informed the lodge staff that we were celebrating our honeymoon and they made our experience even more special! We chose our guide, Ezekiel Masai based off of past reviews and he was hands down the most informative and professional guide. He was flexible with our schedule and tailored our experience to our preferences. If you are looking to book with a tour operator and guide, look no further, this is the one!

From the very start they have been incredibly responsive and organised and ensured that they met our requirements and interests. The tour guides Anthony (Kenya) and Sam (Tanzania) and organiser (Zepha) were incredibly kind, knowledgable and organised! We enjoyed the itinerary, the hotels and overall the experience was unforgettable.

Excellent African Safari Tour Company
Our 13 day safari package planned with Tanzania Roadside was perfect in every way. We began planning this trip of a lifetime in October 2024. From our first contact with Zephania at Roadside Tanzania, we knew we were in good hands. Since our daughter had been to Africa before, she handled relaying a lot of our must dos to Zephania. He was so easy to work with as we made changes along the way. Our trip was planned for September 2025. We began our adventure when we were picked up at the Eka Hotel in Nairobi by our guide, Peter. He was our guide through the Masai Mara in Kenya. The roads in Kenya are very unfinished and bumpy. Peter was an excellent driver and handled the bumps and ruts expertly. Upon arrival to the Masai Mara we found our accommodations had been upgraded to the Zebra Royal lodge instead of the Zebra Plains tent camp. What a pleasant surprise! Our game drives in the Masai Mara led by Peter were breathtaking. He was able to find the elusive leopard for us. When it came time to move on to the Serengeti in Tanzania, Peter made sure we were safely through immigration and united with our Tanzanian guide, Walter. We drove directly to the park in the Northern Serengeti in hopes of seeing the Great Migration. We had a vehicle issue where Walter needed to stay to try to fix the problem. He made sure that we were escorted safely to Pure Migration Camp. He also made sure that we were well informed that our next day plans would proceed as planned. Sure enough, at 630 am Walter was ready to go to the park for another attempt to see the migration. While the wildebeest were there in great numbers at the rivers edge, they did not cross because there were crocs waiting for a meal. Walter took us from crossing site to crossing site. Even though they didn’t cross, seeing all those herds of wildebeest gathering to cross was amazing. Throughout the entire game drive, Walter made sure we saw all the wildlife that we would have missed if he hadn’t pointed it out. The lush Northern Serengeti is teeming with zebras , impalas, wildebeests, lions, many birds, etc. We also explored the Central Serengeti and the Ngorongora Crater.
The crater is an absolute visual masterpiece. An animal paradise! After exploring the crater, we began making our way to the Kilimanjaro Airport for our evening flight to Zanzibar to finish out our African holiday. On the way , we were able to meet Zephania in person. It’s always nice to put a face to a name. Zanzibar was perfection. It was the best place to finish up our visit to Africa. It’s a people paradise. As you can see,
we had a lot of moving pieces to our 13 day adventure. Every piece was planned flawlessly by Zephania and Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. Every transfer, lodge, tent camp, guide, and excursion planned went off without a hitch. Our communications and concerns were always addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. My husband and I give Roadside Tanzania a 10 out of 10. If you ever want to travel to Africa for a safari adventure, I highly recommend Roadside Tanzania for an outstanding experience from start to finish!!!

Best Safari Experience of Our Life – Thank You Tanzania Roadside Expeditions!
We just returned from what we can confidently say is the best trip of our lives – a 8 days full private safari experience across Tanzania and Kenya, arranged by Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. We spent 5 nights in Tanzania (Tangagire, Ngorongoro & Serengeti), 2 nights in Kenya (Maasai Mara). From the start, everything was smooth, well-planned, and comfortable.
A very special mention goes to our Tanzania guide, Mr. Ezekiel Senkoro. He speaks excellent English, and we immediately “clicked” with him – friendly, patient, with sense of humour, extremely knowledgeable, and with amazing spotting skills. Thanks to him, we managed to see 38 out of 45 animals on our list in just a few days and we learn alot about the wildlife animals, including unforgettable moments watching the Great Migration not once, but twice in two days at the Mara River. Truly breathtaking!
In Kenya, we had a shorter stay, but our guide Joe was equally dedicated and managed to fulfill our final wish – spotting the exclusive rhino and completing our Big 5 sightings.
If you are looking for a private safari tour with comfort, professionalism, and unforgettable experiences, we highly recommend Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. They gave us memories we will treasure for a lifetime.
