We had an amazing safari experience with Axis Africa, and a part of what made the trip so special was our tour guide, Charles.
From the beginning, Charles was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. His knowledge of the wildlife, nature, and local surroundings made the safari even more fascinating. He was also patient and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience, especially when it came to spotting and getting great views of the animals.
Everything was organized, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire safari. Charles truly made us feel comfortable and turned the trip into a memorable adventure.

Beautiful experience with family and friends (8 people in total) 7 days of safari tour in jeep exclusive just for us. Tour Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli.
Collins Sempele our expert guide, attentive and precise who also spoke excellent Italian accompanied us for every day making us know the wonders of Kenya at best .... telling us and explaining many things with his experience of true Maasai. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Axis Africa Safaris. From beginning to end they went above and beyond to give us the trip of a lifetime!
Our guide, Mohammad, was absolutely exceptional. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, but he is also one of the kindest, most genuine people we have met. By the end of our safari, he felt less like our tour guide and more like a friend—one we feel incredibly lucky to have made in Kenya.
Mohammad’s dedication to making sure we experienced as much as possible was unparalleled. He somehow helped us see the Big Five within our first two days in the Maasai Mara, and the incredible wildlife encounters just kept coming. We watched a cheetah hunt a gazelle in Amboseli, saw families of more than 20 elephants at a time crossing together with their babies, spotted rare black rhinos in the Maasai Mara on our first afternoon game drive, saw hyenas eat a baby giraffe feet away from us, and had unbelievably close encounters with white rhinos in Lake Nakuru. And those are just a few of the moments we’ll be talking about for years to come. Mohammad seemed to know exactly where to be and when to be there, and his excitement for every sighting made the experience even more special.
We also owe a huge thank you to Tabitha at Axis. We had unexpected issues with our flights into Kenya that significantly shortened our trip and could have completely derailed our plans. Instead, Tabitha immediately jumped into action, rearranging reservations and making last-minute changes so that we could still experience everything that mattered most to us. Her flexibility, responsiveness, and willingness to make it all work took so much stress out of an already stressful situation.
What could have easily turned into a disappointing trip because of circumstances completely outside of anyone’s control instead became one of the most incredible experiences of our lives—and that is entirely thanks to the care, effort, and dedication of Mohammad, Tabitha, and the Axis team.
If you are considering a safari in Kenya, book with Axis—and if you have the opportunity we could not recommend Mohammad more!! We cannot thank Mohammad and Tabitha enough for giving us memories we will cherish forever. Truly the trip of a lifetime!

Absolutely incredible experience and company!
We had an absolutely incredible experience with Axis Africa Safaris! We booked a custom 5-day private budget safari with slightly upgraded mid-range accommodations in the Maasai Mara, which allowed us to visit the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli—and it was an absolutely amazing value for everything that was included.
All of our accommodations and meals were taken care of, we had warm showers every night, the food was great, and the staff everywhere we stayed were incredibly welcoming. If you’re looking for a safari that gives you an authentic experience at an incredible price without sacrificing comfort, this was the perfect balance.
The absolute highlight, though, was our guide, Mohammad. He was exceptional—knowledgeable, kind, patient, and incredibly dedicated to making sure we saw as much wildlife as possible. Thanks to him, we saw the Big Five within our first two days, along with some truly once-in-a-lifetime moments including a cheetah hunting a gazelle, multiple families of elephants crossings, rare black rhinos, and a wildebeest river crossing.
For a private safari covering three incredible parks in only five days, we could not believe how much we were able to experience. Amazing value, wonderful accommodations and staff, and an unforgettable guide. We would recommend Axis—and especially Mohammad—to anyone planning a safari in Kenya!
