An unforgettable first safari experience!
A special thanks to our driver and guide, John Mwangi. He was very kind, attentive, and always made sure that everyone was comfortable throughout the trip. He was also excellent at finding animals and choosing great viewing spots during the game drives.
Everything was well organized, and all the hotels were exactly as booked. The accommodations were comfortable and in good condition, so I had no issues throughout the trip.
I traveled to Kenya alone as a female traveler, and I felt safe and well taken care of during the entire safari. I would definitely recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris to other travelers, including solo female travelers.
One small tip for future travelers: game drives can get very dusty, so I highly recommend bringing a good protective face mask, like the ones we used during COVID. It will make the drives much more comfortable.
I actually bought a camera specifically for this trip, and after experiencing the safari, I have absolutely no regrets! It was such a memorable experience and a wonderful introduction to Africa. I would happily recommend this company to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

Excellent service, reliable communication, and an unforgettable safari experience!
Our safari experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris was absolutely excellent from start to finish. The communication was clear, professional, and prompt, and the entire trip was very well organized.
A special mention goes to our excellent driver and guide, John Mwangi, who made our safari truly memorable. John was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient, professional, and always made sure we were comfortable. His knowledge of the wildlife, excellent driving skills, and ability to spot animals made every game drive an amazing experience.
The tour operator was reliable, flexible, and very supportive throughout the trip. Everything was well planned, and the service provided excellent value for money. We had an amazing time in Kenya and created unforgettable memories.

Tom our guide was wonderful
We had an amazing experience on our Maasai Mara safari, and a big part of it was because of our wonderful guide, Tom.
Tom was an excellent guide who explained everything in great detail and shared so much interesting and useful information with us throughout the trip. He knew all the routes very well and had an incredible knowledge of the area and the animals. He always knew where to go and where we had the best chances of spotting wildlife.
The safari itself was absolutely amazing and very special. We got to see so many incredible animals and learned a lot about the Maasai Mara and its wildlife. Tom made the whole experience even more enjoyable with his knowledge, patience and friendly nature.
Our stay was also excellent and everything was very well organised. Overall, it was a fantastic and unforgettable experience. We would definitely recommend Tom as a guide to anyone visiting the Maasai Mara. Thank you, Tom, for making our safari so special!

Exceptional safari experience, made unforgettable by our knowledgeable guide, Kelvin Ngamiya.
We had an absolutely wonderful safari experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris. From the planning and communication to the actual game drives, everything was handled professionally and reliably.
A very special mention goes to our guide, Kelvin Ngamiya, who made our safari truly memorable. He is extremely knowledgeable, punctual, patient and attentive to every request. What impressed us most was his experience and tactical approach during game drives—he knew where to search, where to wait patiently and when it was time to move to another location.
Thanks to his efforts, we were fortunate enough to see the Big Five, including both black and white rhinos. Our sightings were incredible: around 22 lions, 2 leopards, a cheetah with a kill, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and many other animals.
The highlights went even beyond the Big Five. We witnessed wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River, as well as the dramatic sight of crocodiles catching a zebra and a wildebeest during the crossing. These were truly once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Kelvin also provided excellent information throughout the safari about the animals, their behaviour and the ecosystem. This added another dimension to the experience—we weren’t simply seeing wildlife; we were learning and understanding what was happening around us.
The overall service from Axis was dependable, well organized and good value for the experience we received. Our requests were taken seriously, timings were maintained, and we always felt that the team was making an effort to give us the best possible experience.
We came to Kenya with high expectations for the Masai Mara, and Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris, together with Kelvin Ngamiya, made the experience even better than we had imagined. We leave Kenya with some extraordinary memories and photographs that we will treasure for years.

Along with 5 family members, I enjoyed a marvellous 9 days safari through Amboseli, Naivasha, Ol Pejeta, Nakuro and Masai Mara.
The backbone of the tour was our guide Mr. Collin Sempele. With enthusiasm, great route planning, regularly updating sightings, clear communication and constant attention to our comfort, he ensured that every viewing opportunity was explored. Our individual and collective wishlists were checked off 100% plus more.
I will forever cherish the life lessons I learnt from him in the course of our interaction over 9 memorable days.

Amazing 9 Day Safari Experience with Axis Africa
Our 9 day safari starting from Nairobi and covering Amboseli, Naivasha, Ol Pejeta, Nakuru and Masai Mara was an exhilarating and memorable experience with Axis Africa having taken care of all our requirements. They were helpful, friendly and very amenable to customization of the trip.
The Safari vehicle was neat and in good shape and the best part of the Safari was our guide Mr Collin Sempele, whose wide knowledge of the wildlife, the game drives and his experience kept us all engaged and happy. Kudos to Mr Collin.

Excellent itinerary was customized fitting our asks - 9 days covering Amboseli, Naivasha, Ol Pejeta, Nakuru & Masai Mara.
The stays were tailored to our quoted budgets - high-end lodges at Masai Mara, Amboseli & Ol Pejeta; more pocket friendly options at Naivasha & Nakuru.
All this was stitched up with their Sales Team (our handler was Tabitha Mwangi) over multiple messages & mails from India and throughout we evidenced great communication + willingness to modify & accomodate - a truly Customer-First attitude!
The Safari itself was just a dream come true. Apart from a good & very well maintained Land- Cruiser, & a well chalked out itinerary.
Full credit to Collins Sampelle, our Safari Guide - who with 29 years experience, excellent knowledge and an innate understanding of how to get the best experience out of any situation in a game drive; ticked off all boxes and more in terms of all that we had wished to experience & see, including the migration at Masai Mara... The Big 5 were of course a very basic ask quickly completed - but he went on to show us a lot more well beyond our expectations - cheetah or crocodiles or eagles swooping down for a catch, or lions with a kill, or a leopard trapped on a tree by a lion below, or elephants, rhinos & hippos tending to their young; or jackals, hyenas and vultures fighting over left- overs of a kill; or indeed so many other experiences...And he not just got us to see & experience them, he also gave us great insights & knowledge on what was happening & why....his knowledge of the animal kingdom is really vast & diverse! WE GIVE COLLINS A 5 ON 5 RATING JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GIVE MORE THAN 5!! Else, he is surely a beyond 5* Guide!

Did 2 Safaris: 4 days group safari followed by 4 days of private safari
I came across Axis because of the positive reviews I found online.
After 8 days of safari together with my partner (4 days of group safari, plus 4 days of private safari), I can only confirm these positive reviews.
Everything was excellent organized. Starting with the individual planning of the two safari tours, the information and transparency of the prices, the pickup of the drivers to the Axis office before the start, as well as the food places while being on the road (special places were selected by several safari companies to ensure good food at hygienic places for safari tourists).
The overall communication with Peter from the sales team was very responsive. Usually I am quite skeptic when it comes to making upfront down payments to other countries. However, due to the excellent communication, at no time was I concerned that it could be any sort of fraud.
The two drivers Khalifa and Mohamed did a great job of driving between the parks, spotting the wildlife, trying to get the best spots for taking photos and explaining whatever there is to know.
Sufficient number of brakes were made and the cars were cleaned from the inside and outside at the end of every day.
I can highly recommend going on Safari with Axis and would for sure choose this company again.
