I can’t even begin to describe how amazing our safari experience was with Lion King Adventures and our guide, Goodluck.
We traveled through Tarangire, the Serengeti, Ngorngoro, and Lake Manyara. Each place was uniquely special and spectacular and every single person we met was incredibly kind and welcoming. All of the staff members truly went above and beyond in terms of hospitality and helpfulness. From the office staff that helped us plan our trip and personalize whichever aspects we liked, to the transfer team that picked us up and adjusted to our schedule when our first flight was cancelled, to the lodge staff and finally, our incredible guide, everyone was a pleasure to meet. All of our accommodations were beautiful and the food was very good as well. It was so nice to have everything taken care of including transportation, permits, meals and lodging. Well worth the cost!
We had especially memorable experiences at The Tarangire Simba Lodge, where elephants came and drank right from the saltwater swimming pool and at Nyota Luxury Lodge, where we heard lions, zebras and Cape buffalo right outside our room at night! Thank you Lion King for helping us book these unreal lodge experiences.
Our guide, Goodluck, was highly knowledgeable and a safe, skilled driver even on the most difficult roads. He was helpful, hardworking, good-natured and patient with us, answering all of our questions and always slowing down when he knew there was an animal we found especially interesting or speeding up when he could sense we were ready to move on. He did a wonderful job knowing exactly where to look and finding animals for us - we will never forget the unbelievable encounters that we had, some up close and personal! He even helped us practice our Swahili!
After seeing our photos and hearing about our experience, many of our friends and family now want to go on safari as well! Thank you Lion King Adventures for an awesome and unforgettable experience.

The Lion King Adventure helped making our experience in Tanzania magic!
We did a customized 5 days safari encompassing Lake Marynara, Ngorogoro Crater and North Serengeti to see The Great Migration.
We flew from Arusha to Lake Marynara. After landing we went on a game safari in Lake Marynara, had a picnic and them our guide drove us to Melia Ngorogoro, that in located on the ring of the crater and has spectacular views of the whole crater. Next day we did a game safari in Ngorogoro Crater (amazing!) and after spending the night in Meliá we flew next morning to North Serengeti (about one hour flight) and that saved a lot of time of time and bumping road.
In North Serengeti we saw millions of gnus, zebras and many lions, cheetahs, crocodiles etc... The horizon is infinite and the landscape is different from what we had seen in the Lake and in the Crater. Serengeti has 14.000 Km2 and it is the size of North Ireland. It is a huge park.
We slept 2 nights in a lodge there, a kind of camping with wi-fi and hot bath. Our wooden tent was super comfortable. Good food, very nice people, good service. The lodge didn´t have fence or any kind of protection. Simple and comfortable. I loved it!
We were a group of 4 people and one of the group had the patient to wait for the river crossing of the gnus. The rest of the group only say millions of gnus crossing the fields and the road. The gnus are in symbiosis with the zebras. One specie (gnus) can smell the enemy and the other (zebra) can see the enemy far away.

Everything was perfect: booking, logistics and execution. All communication had been done by e-mail and registered in one single “long” company e-mail. It worked! It works! Everybody keeps track of the conversations and the changes until the final itinerary and price.

Lion King offered confidence and quality for our tour experience!
Finding the right tour operator took some work. This site made it easy to search and after contacting a few, I selected Lion King. I had lots of questions before booking - it's not our normal vacation - and Lion King (Elia) responded promptly and never made it seem like a bother. Once I booked another specialist took over the details. Once we arrived everything was so well done and managed. We had the VERY BEST guide - Immanuel for our 6 day private safari (We also did a one day at Kilimanjaro). We decided a time to start each day, he gave us a plan for the day so we knew what to expect. Immanuel is smart, kind and enthusiastic about his work. He explained more about the landscape and the wildlife and birds than we expected. Lunch was always restaurant food with real plates, silverware, the works - it was so good! The places we stayed were beautiful - I almost wish I had more time to relax a few of them! I do recommend to book as far in advance as you can as accomodations fill fast. Overall we had such an amazing time and I'd highly recommend Lion King Adventures for your safari - especially if you get Immanuel as a guide :)

Responsive, reliable, great advice and guidance
Fantastic experience with this tour operator. Very quick to respond to inquiries; great advice planning the trip; everything went very smoothly. Good value for money compared to other companies we looked at. A real highlight was our wonderful tour guide and skilled driver, Geoffrey. We all felt safe and well looked after with him. He was from the Serengeti and his stories, knowledge and local insight really added to the trip. I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures.

Awesome experience!
The trip was absolutely wonderful. Caroline and Florida set up an amazing set of lodgings and experiences for our trip. They went out of their way to accommodate our special requests. At short notice we could not have planned the trip without them. Highly recommend Lion King Adventures. We would do it all over again. Enoch our guide was the best! He was friendly, knowledgeable and ensured we travelled comfortably while witnessing all the beauty and wildlife of Tanzania.

Super!
We had a very positive experience with the entire Lion King organization. Florida listened to our requests and was able to design a wonderful safari that allowed us to visit all of the areas we wanted. Our guide was Yuseph, and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and he was a pleasure to spend the 6 days. He was able to help us find all of the animals we were interested in seeing and he demonstrated ethical respect for the animals and for their habitats. We would strongly recommend choosing Lion King!

Very experienced and perfect service
We did a 8 day safari with Lion King and we can highly recommend them. From the unset the communication and exchange was very professional and quick. Our safari was a once in a life time experience and our guide Mkwanda is truly great, he has great instincts to find the animals and thanks to him we were even able to see the big 5. Reliable & Ethical Local Tour Operator
We’ve been on safaris in about 6 other countries. We chose Lion King Adventures because we wanted to travel with a Tanzanian owned and run tour company with Tanzanian staff, not based in some other country with foreigners running the business. While the safari was not cheap, no ethical safari is, we wanted our money to go directly to people in the country—that was our first consideration. Second, was that our tour would be private with only our group of 3 and that our itinerary was fully customizable including what parks we visited, where we stayed, and all the daily activities. Communication with the office staff was thorough, prompt, and friendly, which made the process of planning our trip enjoyable and sending payment online less nerve-racking. The airlines lost our bags and once in country, LKA was super helpful in tracking and bringing our bags to us as soon as they made it to Arusha! Our guide was young and seemed a bit inexperienced when it came to discussing the day’s plan with us ahead of time, so parts of the trip felt rushed and like we didn’t have quite enough time or know what to expect (particularly visiting Olduvai Gorge). He also didn’t volunteer much information unless asked directly. However, he was a safe, ethical driver, friendly, knew a lot about the parks and animals when asked, and was great at showing us different areas of the parks and finding awesome wildlife encounters. If I’m being honest, I’d give LKA 5 stars as a tour company and our particular guide 3.5 stars, as I’ve had guides that were more engaging and more experienced managing our itinerary and preferences in the moment, which is why their overall rating is a 4. Overall, I’m very pleased with our trip and only wish it could’ve been longer—2 or 3 days at each location was simply not enough! Tanzania is an incredible country and having spent a lot of time in southern Africa I was so impressed with the country’s dedication managing the parks ethically from a conservation and tourism perspective and employing & empowering their own people to care for everything. I can only dream about coming back someday. Asante sana, Lion King Adventures! <3

You will not regret choosing Lion King for your safrari. We were very pleased with their operation.
I contacted Safari Bookings to find a tour operator for our safari experience. They forwarded a list of operators to contact, and our group looked them over and decided to use Lion King because it looked like the accommodations they provided were better than some of the others. Not only were we not disappointed, we were extremely impressed with the quality of the lodgings. The hotels and resorts were outstanding, and we had an all inclusive package with Lion King. The staff of all of the lodgings were very responsive, and the resorts all had excellent food! The accommodations were worth the price of admission by themselves!
The Lion King staff was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We had a group of 9 people with different travel plans, and Lion King was flexible and accommodating for all of us. They provided amenities in the vehicles for our enjoyment as we drove in search of game, including plenty of water, beer and picnic lunches. The guides were very personable and knowledgeable, and we loved being with them for the length of our safari.
I of course can’t compare Lion King to other operators, but we were all very pleased with their operation and were happy to have spent a little more to use Lion King. We all felt that the value of what we received for the price we paid was excellent! Highly recommend Lion King!

Jambo! Thank you Lion King Adventures for this fantastic trip! Great experience for sure! We were 5 people and we are happy with the tour for two days - in Ngorongoro and Tarangire. Special thanks to Eugen. Very good in all the tours, great drive in the hard road of Ngorongoro, after the second day we have some free time so he went us to shopping center and to two small museums, it was interesting. We visited also Maasai village , but it looks like tourist trap and it could be skiped. Just one little remark, there could be some more info for the animals and the parks during the drive. But overall the experience was great and we are really happy with all. Eugen helped us to saw 4 of the big 5 :), and it was great. We catched great moments and saw really specail animals. We don't have a base to compare, this was our first safari from this kind, but I think all was good. Lion King are professionals and we recommend on 100% theis service - from the guide to all organisations. Also the lodge was perfect, 10/10. If we come back for longer safari in Serengeti, we will call them again :). Hakuna Matata!
