Incredible attention to detail
We contacted quite a few safari companies before our trip, but chose Lion King Adventures because they really listened to what we wanted and gave us an excellent value quote.
Everything about the trip was fantastic, from the accommodation to the seamless organisation and thoughtful touches like complimentary drinks in the safari jeep. We felt completely looked after from start to finish.
But a safari really depends on the guide, and we were incredibly lucky to have Emmanuel Chamboa as ours.
Emmanuel was absolutely fantastic. He was fun, warm and easy to spend time with, but also incredibly organised and knowledgeable. His knowledge of the animals and the parks was impressive, and it was obvious that he genuinely cared about giving us the best possible experience. He was constantly paying attention to what was happening around us, looking carefully for animals and picking up on things we would have completely missed ourselves. You could really see how much experience he had and how much he enjoyed what he was doing.
Most importantly, we felt completely safe and cared for throughout the trip. Emmanuel really embodied pole pole, taking things at the right pace and allowing us to properly enjoy the experience. That relaxed approach made such a difference.
We would absolutely recommend Lion King Adventures, particularly if you are lucky enough to have Emmanuel as your guide. He made an already wonderful trip genuinely special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. We had Emmanuel Chamboa as our guide (and driver) for a 3-days private safari covering Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Emmanuel is a great driver, and he's a really polite and gentle person. He patiently asked all our questions regarding the wildlife we saw, and he has a gift to spot the animals in the park (even those that are harder to find). If I ever have the chance to come back to Tanzania, I will definitively try to have Emmanuel as a guide

Absolutely unforgettable Safari experience with Lion King Adventures
Everything about our safari (5 nights / 6 days in Arusha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti) planned, managed and executed by Lion King Adventures was simply perfect.
During the initial planning phase, they provided outstanding support in designing our safari. They offered complete flexibility to customize the itinerary according to our preferences while also providing valuable suggestions and advice that ultimately resulted in a perfect travel plan. Special thanks to Riziki, who assisted us throughout this phase.
Before the trip, everything was handled in a clear, simple and professional manner by the post-booking team, especially Nickson, who always communicated promptly and clearly, giving us great confidence in the excellent organization of the safari.
The safari itself was truly a dream experience.
All the accommodations were exceptional, and the people hosting us were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We always felt at home. The locations, which we already expected to be beautiful, exceeded our expectations by far. The food was also excellent, both at dinner in the lodges and during lunch breaks in the bush. Instead of the usual lunch boxes, we were always served delicious hot meals prepared by the lodges, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The jeep was beautiful, comfortable and perfectly maintained. I was particularly impressed by its ability to absorb the bumps and roughness of the off-road tracks. The interior was spotless, very clean and all seats were equipped with comfortable cushions that made long game drives much more enjoyable. In addition, hand sanitizer, charging outlets and a refrigerator stocked with plenty of cold water and soft drinks were always available, making every journey extremely comfortable.
Finally, our guide Mkwanda was the true highlight of our safari. Thanks to him, we were able to see all of the Big Five, as well as countless other animals and breathtaking landscapes. From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and at ease. We particularly appreciated his approach: highly professional, yet friendly, polite and approachable. He was not only an outstanding guide but also an excellent driver, always able to position the vehicle in exactly the right place for the best wildlife sightings. He was also a great planner, giving us flexibility in organizing our days while providing clear and well-reasoned guidance whenever needed. Thanks to his careful planning, we always reached the lodges before sunset, allowing us time to relax and fully enjoy these beautiful places after a full day of game drives.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Mkwanda and the entire Lion King Adventures team to anyone planning a safari in Northern Tanzania. It was truly one of the best travel experiences of my life.

Professional, responsive, reliable and friendly - Lion King Adventures has made me a safari convert!
I travelled with a friend and as two female travellers, we spent a lot of time researching safari operators before choosing
Lion King Adventures for a 4-day, 3-night safari covering Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro
Crater, Central Serengeti and Lake Manyara in September 2026. Looking back, choosing Lion
King was one of the best decisions we made for our trip to Tanzania.
I'll admit that before arriving, I wasn't just hesitant about going on safari; I was genuinely
terrified!! However, Lion King Adventures' professionalism, organisation and customer service
quickly put me at ease and completely transformed the experience. By the end of the trip, I was
wondering why I hadn't done a safari sooner.
From the planning stage the team was responsive, accommodating and genuinely interested in
ensuring the itinerary met our needs. A special thank you to Riziki, who was incredibly helpful
during the proposal and booking process and to Rose, whose attentive aftercare and follow-up
were equally impressive.
What really stood out were the thoughtful touches that elevated the entire experience. On Day
1, we were surprised with a bottle of wine accompanied by a personalised message during
lunch, which was such a lovely and unexpected gesture. We also appreciated that our picnic
lunches weren't just packed boxes. We were treated to freshly cooked food served with proper
plates, cutlery and even a picnic tablecloth. It may seem like a small detail, but it made every
lunch stop feel special.
The accommodations selected by Lion King, Nyota Rift Valley and Land of Nature Camp;
were excellent and went beyond what we expected to experience on a safari (They will get their
own reviews).
The true highlight of our trip, however; was our guide and driver, Godbless. From the moment
he picked us up he was warm, engaging, patient and endlessly knowledgeable. He shared
fascinating information not only about the wildlife and ecosystems but also about Tanzania, its
culture, history, and everyday life. No question was too small and he always took the time to
provide thoughtful answers.
As a safari guide, his skills were simply remarkable. My friend and I became convinced that his
sunglasses had magical powers. Time after time, he would stop the vehicle, gaze towards what
looked like an empty patch of bush or distant horizon, and ask, "Do you see it?" We would scan
the area with binoculars, follow his directions and eventually spot the animal he had somehow
identified immediately. His ability to locate wildlife was extraordinary.
Of course, he ensured that we saw the Big Five, but what impressed us most was that he
understood a safari is about more than a checklist of animals. There were moments when he
would park the vehicle, switch off the engine and simply allow us to experience the beauty of the
wilderness. Sitting quietly, feeling the breeze, listening to nature and appreciating the stillness of
the landscape became some of the most memorable moments of the entire trip.
Lion King Adventures delivered an experience that was professional, personal and exceptionally
well organised from beginning to end. I would recommend them without hesitation, especially to
first-time safari travellers and women travelling together. If possible, ask for Godbless to be your
driver/guide. You won’t regret it! Lion King Adventures didn't just show us Tanzania's wildlife;
they helped 2 Trinis fall in love with the safari experience itself.

Perfectly organized safari with exceptional service, amazing wildlife, and unforgettable moments.
Our safari with Lion King Adventures was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. From the airport pick-up to the airport drop-off, everything was perfectly organized and ran smoothly.

Fantastic safari
We booked the private 6 Days Mid Range Safari with LionKing Adventures as part of our honeymoon and were absolutely happy with it. Communication with them was easy and straightforward. The selected accommodations were all absolutely amazing.
Our guide Enoch Hubert was an excellent driver and experienced safari guide and knew the best places for finding all animals. He taught us a lot about the wildlife and the people in the Serengeti and the rest of Tanzania. At the end of the travel we were sad that our travel was over, but we had a excellent time and made lots of memories for the rest of our lives.

An exceptional Tanzania safari thanks to our guide Emmanuel!
We went on a 5-day safari in September 2026 with Lion King Adventures, and we had an absolutely exceptional time.

While we are certain that the agency offers high-quality tours overall, we feel incredibly lucky to have had Emmanuel as our guide. We recommend him without hesitation! Great communications, service and a smooth experience. We loved our tour with Lion King. The driving, planning and expertise from Frederick our guide were second to none. As an expert photographer he always got us in the best position and always seemed to know where the animals were.

The logistics were flawless!
Our trip was completely stress free. The accommodations were beyond luxurious, the service was genuine and thoughtful to make everything feel truly special. Food was outstanding. Our guide Humad has great english, incredible knowledge, experience and made the trip!
We saw everything we hoped to see and so much more. Elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, rinos, hippos, leopards, buffalo and wildebeests just to name a few. Our guides patience got us up close to so many big game animals. We actually saw the great migration river crossing and all the action associated!
Truly a trip of a lifetime and a great value for our money.

Wonderful journey !
We took a week-long tour through the main national parks in northern Tanzania. Rama (aka King Rama to us) took great care of us and made sure we saw the Big Five and much more. Great trip!
