Fantastic, we managed to see the big 5 because of Melita, so happy.
What a fantastic safari, on the first day, we started in the Serengeti. Saw elephants tribes, giraffes,cheetah and babies, lions and cubs, seval small cat and so many more animals inclufing hippos. Melita worked hard stopping and allowing us to take our time and chatting about all the animals.Day two was even more exciting with spotting a leopard up a tree with her kill and cub on the ground. Another highlight was a cheetah with her kill. Day three in the crater we saw buffallo, rhino, zebras. Such a fantastic trip thanks to Melita. The accommodation has been outstanding. 5 stars to Melita!

Suricata Safaris organized everything perfectly and made our safari experience truly unforgettable.
Our safari was unforgettable thanks to Melita! He went above and beyond to help us see the Big Five while always making sure we were safe. We had incredible close encounters with elephants, lions, giraffes, a leopard sleeping in a tree with its prey, a cheetah eating its kill, rhinos, buffalo, flamingos, vultures, and many more. His knowledge, dedication, and passion made every game drive exciting. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and highly recommend Melita to anyone looking for an amazing safari experience!

We are in our second day of safari and we have already seen the big 5!! We are so pleased with our tour guides, the safari vehicles and the food!!! Plus the hotel and the camp site are spectacular! Special mention to Robert and Steve as they are our tour guides in this adventure. 4 days to go but already recommending Suricata to everyone ✨

Better than anything I ever expected!
Jordan was the absolute best guide we could have ever gotten! As a photographer, he was amazing at understanding animal behavior in a way that would line us up perfectly to get amazing photos, and would go above and beyond to find the perfect angles! He was so much fun to be around and taught us so much about the animals, environment, and culture. I highly recommend requesting him if you’re looking for someone to help you get unique shots instead of just following the other tour drivers.
The operator itself was extremely kind, helpful, and quick to answer all questions! There wasn’t a ton of info shared prior to the trip, so make sure to do research for packing. A few things that made a difference in our trip (5 day camping safari):
• towel that dries quickly
• body wipes for dusty days (and nights where hot showers are limited)
• sleeping bag liner
• toilet paper
• snacks for the car (the meals are AMAZING and super filling but sometimes we had late lunches if we saw cool things)
• covers for your face to shield from dust
• shower shoes
• outlet converter for charging in the car
• good binoculars
• clips for hanging bags in the shower/bathroom
• a small duffel bag to leave anything you don’t need on safari at the hotel
This was the trip of a lifetime and we’re so grateful for Suricata Safaris (and Jordan) for making it such a great time!

Experienced
Our experience with Suricata was wonderful, thanks in large part to our guide Jordan. He was easy going and was very knowledgeable about all of the wildlife as well as the geological and cultural landscape. He did a great job of finding us all of the animals we wanted to see and was very accommodating of the photographers in our group to find the get to the good shot locations. The food was great throughout and our chef Sampson and the rest of the staff was wonderful. They went above and beyond to accommodate our food requests and helped make a birthday celebration special for our group. I highly recommend the 5 day tour and would book again with Suricata (and Jordan!) if I come back to Tanzania.

Jordan with Suricate Safari was the best guide one could ask for. He found every animal / bird we wanted to see, answered all of our questions regarding the animals, gave us a ton of information he thought we would enjoy, and went out of his way to honor our special requests. He is an excellent driver who will get you where you want to be or need to be on time. He makes every effort to park his vehicle so everyone on board can get a clear view and makes sure everyone is satisfied before he leaves each area. Jordan kept us well entertained with his wit, stories and experiences over his 10 years of being a guide . I highly recommend Jordan and would encourage you to request him to be your guide. Looking forward to my next excursion with Jordan and Suricate Safari. Jordan is fabulous!!
