Excellent
Great experience! It wasn't my first safari ever, but the first in Kenya.
I booked the 4 day tour to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and I had a great time. We managed to spot lots of animals and even an elusive leopard (despite being low season there are always great opportunities of spotting them all year round).
The guide, Joshua, was very knowledgeable, passionate and competent, ready to answer every question we'd throw at him and being a very competent driver.
I was also surprised by the lodgings, especially the Lenchada camp that, while basic, has everything we'd need for those couple of days and more;from my past experiences I didn't expect a few hours of electricity per day, cell reception, hot water in the shower and a private bathroom attached to the tent. Special mention to the food, which was delicious!
All in all, I'd redo it again, maybe during the great migration period.

Great 3 days safari tour to Masai Mara
I had a wonderful 3days safari tour with Hyrax Safaris to Masai Mara from Nairobi. competent, reliable, safe and offering a great service. Experienced driver and very good organization. They are flexible to the needs of the customers. We missed a leopard only for few seconds, otherwise we saw all the other big fives. Another jeep from the same tour operator could see also the leopard, wonderful videos of the other tourists. I would join another tour with them.

Great Safari
We've had a great safari with Hyrax. Roselyne was quick in here response and is trustworthy. Dan was our driver, we had lots of fun with him. We found him a very pleasant personality, always doing his best to make it the best day. The only problem we've faced was that Roselyne that the start date was misunderstood. The guide was in our hotel, two days early. This problem seemed solved professional. All hotels were rebooked, however the trainticket was not rebooked. That was a bit of a pity, since we lost a day due to this incident. I would recommend to request a solid personalized planning, with overview of dates, hotels. If this was organized by Hyrax, that could have prevented this mistake from happening. However the trip was great, so all 'problems' are relative!!

4 day luxury Safari
The Safari was exhilarating! Jeff from Hyrax was knowledgeable, trustworthy and a true professional in his craft. The entire team was nice and pleasant to work with through the entire process -from start to end. The rooms, food and the game camp was near in class. I tried I enjoy myself! I traveled as a sole female traveler from DC and I can not wait to return with my friends. I plan to use Hyrax again and share with others their pleasant and professional services.
Helpful to communicate logistics leading up to the trip and pulled off well.
Liked pre-trip communication and our driver and the whole experience.

A dream safari
My daughter and I have just returned from an amazing 12 day safari booked with Rose owner of Hyrax Safaris. Everything was so well organised and all the accommodation exceeded our expectations. Our driver/guide Ben was very experienced, professional, a lovely person and made a big effort for us to see the best of the wildlife which we did. Awesome
We did a customised 4 days trip which was a honeymoon trip with my husband . Rosalinda, the manager, is a very responsible and reliable person and helped me a lot to plan the trip with quick and precise responses. The driver, Dan, was professional and joyful and thanks to him we could see great wild animals. I feel lucky to have booked with Hyraxsafari, and hope this comment help other people who are currently planning their best trip to Kenya:)

Great private 4-day Safari in Masai Mara
Our private 4-day Safari in Masai Mara was just great. Already the booking at Hyrax Safaris was a relaxed affair, when Roselyne was always very quick to answer to our requests without being pushy. Requesting a Land Cruiser for the two of us and changing the program to staying at Ashnil Camp was easy. She also booked train tickets for our onward journey to Mombasa. Our driver guide Ben did a wonderful job in showing us the abundance of wildlife in Masai Mara. He was informative without overwhelming us with too much information. Deciding to stay at Ashnil Camp was a great choice as it is right on the Mara River full of hyppos.

Safe travel, good service, best experience :-) good guides
It was 12 days Kenya tour. We are group of 13 pax. 4 families. All was good. We had great guides Ben and Jeff. Also Roselyn very helpful and always in touch with Us. I can recommend Hyrax for families and all who want to see great Kenya and Masai life.
