Amazing trip with very good and friendly guide and an excellent private chef
We booked our safari with Wakanda after reading the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Our guide and driver Felix was very experienced and was amazing at spotting animals. We saw the big 5 and many more animals thanks to his skills. He was also a very safe and secure driver and was very informative, answering all our questions skilfully and professionally. He was considerate of our needs and wants and is the best guide we've ever had on a trip. The biggest surprise of this safari however was the food: the "master chef" as we came to call him, Abdullah, was absolutely amazing: he prepared restaurant level meals three times a day for us, with the best fresh baked bread we ever tasted, with amazing sauces and with dessert each time, somehow doing this all in small field kitchens where I could not even manage to fry an egg. We were totally blown away by the quality and amount of food on this "budget" safari. Most other groups had small packed lunchboxes where we were getting full three course meals. Sleeping in the tent among the animals was also quite an experience! The tents are large enough to stand up in and the sleeping mats are more than comfortable enough. Communication with the head office was also very clear, by email and WhatsApp. All around this was definitely an amazing experience that surpassed our expectations and we would wholeheartedly recommend going with Wakanda for your safari, you will not be disappointed. The price was also very much competitive. Wakanda forever!

Perfect safari experience in Tanzania together with Serengeti Wakanda Tours
We just finished our 12 days safari trip with Serengeti Wakanda and we didn’t hesitate for a moment to think this was the best decision.
Starting with planning, Aishwarya was very helpful and responsive. Took into account all our requests and updated the itinerary several times. She replied back very quickly and was made available for the calls on the last details. Our specific needs, including diet related (lactose free and no onions) were perfectly taken care of and at every accommodation we’ve been to, they all knew in advance about it. Maybe to mention that we as a couple wanted to have the safari car/trip for ourselves instead of a group package. Which we later noticed the biggest majority of the safari cars were with couples only.
With our own research and the tips from Aishwarya, the final itinerary ended up being perfect to our taste. The rest was up to the guide, who was purely amazing. Bashir went above and beyond to get us to the best spots and have unique experiences every day. I’d like to start by pointing to the fact that he is very experienced and has a lot of knowledge of wildlife, both animals and birds, with a degree in it, a tone of experience and mostly appreciated, the love and passion for wildlife. We were amazed at how much he knows about both animals and birds, and the details he outlined.
In the end we ended up having unique experiences with the animals we liked the most and many more that came unexpected. Although not the goal of our trip, we saw the big 5 and so much more. So many unique encounters with elephants, giraffes, eating lions and leopards, wildebeest giving birth, encountered in total way more than a hundred lions, multiple close encounters with leopards and cheetahs, six rhinos in Ngorongoro crater, other cool animals and can’t even count the diversity of birds, etc. In places where there were dozens of cars, we still ended up having the best places with the coolest view. He anticipated the events and the actions of animals and was one of the first to be in the right spot. If you are lucky to have Bashir as guide, you won’t regret.
Maybe unrelated to the safari, but we appreciated a lot that he is very kind and helped others whenever in need. He always checked with other guides on the road who had issues (either a blown tire or stuck in the mud) and helped on numerous occasions.
Food was amazing. We didn’t have the lunch boxes as the majority of other tour operators in the places we stopped for lunch. We instead had the full menu with hot meals. In addition, the guide noticed we loved papayas and he took that as a note and made sure we had papaya at every other meal we had.
Another thing we appreciated a lot is that Bashir made us aware of all sorts of things we would not have known without a good guide. One example is the exit gate at Ngorongoro crater, where he made sure to close the roof in advance, as the baboons at that specific location are known to jump inside the car and steal things. Well, that was it, when we got there, right in front of us, another safari car just arrived with the open roof and we were shocked how fast the two baboons climbed on top of the car, jumped inside through the open roof, and stole a lunch box and something else. Of course there were screams and deep shock in the eyes of the tourists who rushed outside the car. We are glad our guide made sure to know all these things in advance and tell us what to look for and how to safeguard ourselves.
Also to mention that the car was in good order. After every day of safari we noticed the guide made sure to bring the car in order and clean it for the next day. The car didn’t have AC (which I think is extremely rare) but trust me, this is not needed or practical in a safari trip. Having open roof the most of the time to be able to enjoy animals and the view, you have to get used to the dust. That’s applicable to any kind of cars in there.
During the trip, we wondered if it would be possible to have some small adjustments to the itinerary. Our guide made sure to rearrange the itinerary so that we would have time to visit some other places we asked about.
All in all, we highly recommend both the Serengeti Wakanda tour company and our beloved guide, Bashir, to whom we are very thankful for a memorable experience in Tanzania.

Don’t hesitate, book with Wakanda!
We booked our safari through Wakanda after a lot of extensive research and it was the best thing we could have done!!! If you are thinking about booking Wakanda, don’t hesitate, just book! Wakanda are an amazing, reputable, fully licensed company and will go out of their way to give you the best experience.
You will also be supporting a local Tanzanian run company in Arusha with incredibly dedicated staff.
Wakanda were absolutely amazing from the word go! They couldn’t do enough for us. We dealt with Ushma at the booking office and she helped us create our incredible itinerary and was on hand to answer our many questions! Nothing was too much trouble, she was so helpful and friendly!
Our safari was out of this world - we honestly had one of the best experiences of our lives and saw an incredible amount of wildlife! Our guide Andrew was an absolute legend! He was so experienced, knowledgable and taught us so much about the parks, the wildlife and the Tanzanian and Maasai culture. He shared so many stories with us and we really felt like we gained a true friend. He is such a kind, caring man and nothing was too much trouble. He really went out of his way to make sure we had incredible animal sightings and experiences and wanted to give us the best experience possible! His eyesight was incredible as he would spot things so far away, things we would never have seen otherwise. Andrew worked tirelessly on our trip to make sure we saw the big 5, which we did! We felt incredible safe with Andrew whilst travelling through Tanzania, a country we had not visited before and we were fell in love with the country. It truly is a special place.
The trucks are awesome and kitted out with everything you need with plenty of drinks etc. Communication was absolutely fantastic. The lunch is amazing, they are one of the only companies to offer full hot meals everyday and you eat like a king!!!
If you are looking for a safari company, do book Wakanda. We highly recommend them and do ask if at all possible to have Andrew as your guide. You will have an incredible time and a trip of a lifetime. What’s more, you’ll be supporting a local company run by truly dedicated staff.

Excellent!
I had high expectations for this 6 days Wakanda Zoo Safari due to the other reviews...I must say I agree with the enthusiastic ones! Benjamin, our guide, was so competent, experienced, calm and passionate about it! He made his every day mission to spot as many animals as possible and he did it! We saw the big 5
(the leopard too, yes!!!), the Great Migration and we enjoyed such abundant wild life that I feel like I've had the time of my life. I also did the Hot Air Balloon Ride in Ndutu. It was highly professional and safely done! We also had the chance, thanks to Benjamin kindness and availability, to live firsthand Tanzanian real life experiences ( we visited a school, a Masai Village, a local market with an intriguing goat barbecue and much more!!!). I would recommend everybody Wakanda and, of course, the guide and the company of Benjamin Madre Mia!!!

Wakanda is always a good idea
What an amazing experience, life changing. If you are a nature and animals lover, Wakanda is the right safari guide operator for you. We had an unforgettable experience with our guide Benjamin, who is very competent and pleasant to spent time with. We have been very lucky seeing all the big 5 animals and more but it was also thanks to the expertise of our guide which knew animals habitats, looked for tracks & signs etc. A last but not least the greenery and scenery is something stunning. I strongly recommend this safari, Nature offers you always beautiful vibes. Asante sana Wakanda!

Highly highly recommended
Our 5-day safari tour with Wakanda was absolutely incredible.
Our guide Andrew was very experienced, knowledgable and made sure we had the best possible experience.
He has a true eagle vision - he was able to spot animals from a great distance. And he put a lot of effort into finding best locations to photograph animals. We saw many lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, just to name a few.
He was providing us lots of information not just about animals but also gave context about the Tanzanian culture and tribes. It made the whole experience so much richer.
He navigated the roads like a true pro. Many roads in Serengeti were flooded but even with rough road conditions Andrew was able to get us out there safely.
The accommodation and food was excellent troughout the trip as well.

Expectation exceeded big time on our Northern Circuit safari with Wakanda!
Our guide Andrew was exceptional in many ways. Very knowledgeable about everything we saw, unreal skill of spotting animals (especially big cats) and generally a very nice person to go on a 5 day adventure.
The accomodations and food were also top notch and really couldn’t have asked for better service.
At the end we knew we made the right choice with booking with Wakanda (and lucky to get Andrew as a guide).

Well organized, caring and no tourist trap kind of operator.
Superb safari with a great guide and a great guy, Andrew. We saw huge amount of animals, cheetah and lion being my favorites. We were well taken care of, for example we had warm meals in lunchtime, while most ate dry sandwiches. Not my first safari, but definitely the best one!

Amazing safari
We had an absolutely amazing safari trip with Andrew. The trip was very well timed, which allowed us to see many different animals. We had rain during our trip but Andrew's amazing driving skills got us through every mud hole. Definitely an experience of a lifetime!
