Asante sana (Thank You) Tanzania !
Very nice tour !!
I did trek Kilimanjaro Lemosho 7 days + safari 5 days, the organization went perfect, all the transfers between towns, and the guides.
All the guide and the porters during Kili were amazing, they are so helpful and kind.
The cook during Kili was truly something too, incredible food.
The guide during safari was awesome, He KNOWS. He is often the first on spotting something, before all the other cars. He's respected, everybody listens to him. He is the only one that goes really deep in the park, drive one hour, where we see nothing, no animals, no other cars, and casually stop out of nowhere to say "there, lions" like they were waiting for us :)
Thanks Monkey Adventures !

Family trip safari
Monkey travel was assigned the task to help me out with this trip. This is second time I’m doing it and can just recommend them. This time it was family trip and I had some requests cake for birthday, hippo breakfast, sundowner and it was pure magic. Al questions where answered before our trip and all deals kept like promised. The guide Roger is professional, kind, caring and this is second safari with him and I can promise you he won’t disappoint you.
The Best first safari experience in Kenya with Monkey Adventures
We loved our experience with Monkey Adventures from start to finish.
The communication with Fauziah was great - she came back so quickly and profesional to all our emails and various requests helping to create the best personalised trip for us.
Payment was nice and easy - we were a bit nervous about the bank transfer, but it was quick and easy transaction that reached Monkey Adventures in a few minutes.
The safari itself was just perfect. Our guide Dave was so knowledgeable (16 years of experience) and told us all about not only animals but also Massai culture, his own tribe’s traditions and where he grew up etc. His knowledge of the parks was second to none - in Masai Mara, whenever he heard a simple mention on the radio of a lion, cheetah or even leopard - he took us there right away! We were always there before the queues for cars arrived. He’s also just a genuinely lovely person and already miss his company! We’ve seen all the big 5 but also many animal babies!
The places we stayed in were great - we went for the budget option and were so surprised that all accommodations were much higher standard than we expected with our absolute favourite being the Basecamp Adventure in Masai Mara where we could watch hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, various birds and even hyenas and an elephant from our tent!
Food was great - very abundant in each of accommodations and plenty of water was provided during game drives.
Definitely recommend adding the bike tour of Hell’s Gate national park if you’re around Lake Nakuru and arriving to the park very early - we were first there and had all park to ourselves and our lovely guide. Seen giraffes, zebras, buffalo and many other animals from the bike! What an amazing experience! It’s a lovely downhill ride - approx 8km and you will walk around the stunning canyon at the end for another approx 45 min. You then get collected by your driver at the end so don’t need to cycle back 😅
If it’s your first safari, we’d definitely recommend bringing large brim hat and plenty of sun screen - although you’re in the car a lot, you get sooo much sunshine you can easily get sunburned 😅
Overall - we absolutely recommend Monkey Adventures for your safari!
Thank you sooooo much!

Great responsiveness
I booked both a private safari and a Mt Meru trek over 4 days. The safari was amazing, over three days with guide Devie and cook Eloise. Devie was very knowledgeable about birds and animals and very patiently drove me around while I reveled in photography over those three fabulous days. We had great luck seeing animals that no one else saw as they walked across our path into the surrounds. I have Coeliacs disease and the cook created delicious meals for me, set up my tent and generally made me feel comfortable. I spent a lot of time asking many questions prior to the trip and people were very responsive. Can highly recommend a private safari even though its expensive as you can dictate the pace, stopping, starting and do not have to fight for the views.
The Mt Meru trek followed the very next day and due to some sort of communication breakdown perhaps, instead of meeting me and the guide at 9, we did not get away until about 11 in the morning, meaning we were late to depart for the walk (I think about 2 pm). That was fine actually but a bit of a messy start.
Every day was great - i wasn't feeling 100% but my guide Livi was very attentive as was the main porter/waiter Khamees who took great care of me always with a big smile. Again I had fantastic food (probably too much actually), and felt well taken care of. the only thing i would say is I did not know that I would have to walk with the entire group every day due to needing the armed guard, so at times it didn't feel like a private tour, so much as a group within a bigger group. Summit night was great - pole pole we made it up and down reasonably quickly, even though i think the entire team thought I would be unable to summit as an older (59 at the time) female. They under estimated me a bit I feel.
One aspect that caused me some confusion was being told I could not take more than 4200 usd onto the mountain, and yet i would need more than that in order to pay tips. The tip schedule as a private, was confusing. there were 5 in my support team; guide, cook + three porters and one of whom also doubled as my waiter - bringing food, water (and a smile). Monkey told me tips for this trek were from $185 to around $250; but between 5 people i didn't feel like this was adequate so I gave a total of $300 USD plus about 48,000 TS. I felt as if the crew was not overly happy with this additionally because I couldn't carry cash the poor guys had to drive all the way to Arusha with me just to get their tip. The vibe for me felt as if they were unhappy with me about this, and so I felt bad. I may have been misreading it? But my thoughts are this - it was $1200 USD for the 4 day trek, and my tip ended up being 25% of the total cost. As far as tips goes this is actually huge. If these guys rely so heavily on tips, then I can question are they being paid enough? The general attitude is that us tourists are rich and we can afford these huge tips. When on a budget, an additional 25% is a very large increase. Whilst I am more than happy of course to pay a tip, as these guys work their butts off, I think this needs a lot of clarification in your documentation prior to starting a trek or safari, on an EXACT figure that should be paid so we leave the guess work out. Yes a tip comes from the heart but that then leaves it open to also giving the very least (which for me actually $185 is all I really could afford yet ended up giving much more than this). And there needs to be a better way of paying the tip if we cannot take more than $200 onto the mountain OR, limit tips to $200 - as the majority of their earnings SHOULD be coming from you, not being supplemented by tourists - our tips should be an offering ON TOP of what they earn. That's my only bug-bear. Aside from that - amazing.

The best experience with knowledgeable guide
Greatest experience ever. It was our first time to visit Kenya and looking for the tour agent which could be flexible for our inquiry. The staff were always fast response and shared the detail for all the questions I asked (for example ; hair dryer availability, price of laundry etc) Even it was few days before, but they arranged the tour in Nairobi with best guide and didn’t overcharge for it. (Our hotel provided 4 times higher price only for the car)
For safari tour, we met the guide Francis ! He accompanied us for 5 days and showed us around through the road trip. He is very knowledgeable and could answer all the questions about safari! We could learn lots about Kenya from him and he was flexible to adjust the itinerary based on our condition (sometimes we were so tired) He never gave up to show the animals and finally we could meet BIG5!! I can’t thank all of the staff and Francis enough. I definitely recommend Monkey Adventure to my friends. They are very trustable company!

An Unforgettable Journey with Monkey Adventures
Having been on several safaris across Africa, I usually have a pretty good idea of what to expect, but I have to admit—this trip with Monkey Adventures truly raised the bar.
Let’s talk about the bush experience first. We decided to fly directly into the Serengeti airstrip to maximize our time on the ground, which I highly recommend. The vehicle quality was excellent—spacious and well-maintained—but as any seasoned safari-goer knows, the guide makes or breaks the trip. Ours was easily one of the best I’ve encountered in years. With over two decades of experience, his bush knowledge was encyclopedic. It’s rare to find someone who can spot a sleeping lion in a tree from miles away without binoculars, or who knows exactly how to position the vehicle for the perfect photo angle while managing tsetse flies (tactical window usage is a skill!). We saw a leopard on day one—a sighting that can sometimes take days to track down on other trips.
The logistics on the back end were just as impressive. I’ve dealt with many operators, but the team at Monkey Adventures was exceptional at curating a bespoke itinerary. We didn't just want the standard 'Big Five' checklist; we wanted depth. They wove in cultural elements like the Maasai village and coffee plantation visits seamlessly. They also managed our multi-generational group perfectly, helping us celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday with the right mix of adventure and downtime.
Regarding the accommodation: Zuri Camp was fantastic. It strikes that difficult balance of high-end comfort (hot showers, fine dining) while maintaining that authentic, immersive feeling of sleeping in the wild. Waking up to the dawn chorus of the bush never gets old, and the staff at Zuri made us feel genuinely looked after.
From the density of the wildlife—endless wildebeest and active predators—to the seamless execution of the logistics, this was a standout trip. Even if you’ve been on safari before, I can’t recommend Monkey Adventures highly enough. They really know their stuff

Unforgettable experience in Tansania and Kenya with Monkey Adventures!
We, three German were on safari with Monkey Adventures from 17. Nov. 2025 to 01. Dec 2025. I came to Monkey Adventures by chance through an internet research and was immediately convinced by the very reponsive and professional Monkey Adventures (MA) staff. Especially Sylvia captured at once what I'm looking for and made a safari suggestion which perfectly matched my ideas. As I'm not experienced in safaris I had of course to rely on somebody to organise it and I was happy to met MA (of which I never heard about before). Each wish from me or my friends was considered and we were happy to get a Kenyan (Frenzis) and a Tansanian (Dionys.) guide which were not only very knowledgeable in Flora and Fauna but also very pleasant persons. We never felt lost or unsafe and made the experience that there are guides who loved what they show us. We owe them unforgettable encounters with animals in Kenya and in Tansania. We could not be happier than with these both guys. Sylvia (and her very helpful colleague in Kenya) cared from the first to the last minute for all organisational issues from pick-up at airport, for the great accomodations (we didn't expect these high standard) until the drop-off at the airport at the end (all these for a reasonable price which was communicated from the first day on). It was a lighthearted, stressless and happy adventure for the three of us and we enjoyed each single minute. Such holdidays are only possible with a highly professional personnel and you can be sure you will get this with Monkey Adventures. Highly recommended!
