A luxury safari experience
I’d introduce them clearly the first time they’re mentioned — Stephen as your **booking/contact person** and Songe as your **driver-guide throughout the safari**.
We had the most amazing safari and honestly couldn’t recommend the experience enough. It really did feel like a once-in-a-lifetime trip and we loved every minute of it.
Stephen, who organised our trip and was our main contact during the booking process, was brilliant from the start — really responsive, answered all of our (many!) questions and was happy to adapt the itinerary for us. We really wanted to visit The Ark in Aberdare and he was able to work this into our trip. We’d compared the cost of the package with booking the hotels and everything ourselves and felt it was really good value too.
All of the hotels were absolutely stunning and really close to the parks, so it felt like we got to soak up every minute of being on safari. Sleeping in luxury safari tents with wildlife close by, eating dinner overlooking the bush and having a sundowner in the Maasai Mara were such special experiences and exactly what we’d hoped for from the trip.
We’re both vegan and had been slightly worried about food before we went, but we really didn’t need to be! We ate incredibly well throughout the whole safari and every hotel catered for us. Songe, our driver-guide for the safari, was also great at making sure our dietary requirements were communicated everywhere we stayed.
Songe was absolutely fantastic. We felt really safe with him, he knew so much about the parks and animals and was always really clear about what we were doing and the plans for each day. From the beginning he told us to just ask whenever we wanted to stop for a photo or had a question, and we never once felt rushed. He genuinely seemed to care about us having the best possible experience and went out of his way to make sure we got as much as possible from every game drive.
We had a brief issue with the car on one of the days, but it was dealt with so well that it barely affected us. Another driver from the company took us with their group so we didn’t miss out on any of the game drive, and Songe picked us back up an hour or two later once everything was sorted.
The whole trip was just incredible — the wildlife, the places we stayed, the food, the scenery and all the little experiences along the way. Having everything organised for us meant we could completely switch off and just enjoy being there. We came away feeling like we’d really made the most of every single day and had the safari experience we’d dreamed of. An unforgettable trip!

Incredible safari with a superb company
I joined an eight-day safari with Apodiformes Adventures, with an additional two nights in Nairobi, one before and one after the safari, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish.
Silas, the owner of the company, was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. He answered all my questions promptly, no matter what time of the day it was. I also had the pleasure of meeting him in person, and he is a very charismatic, friendly, and welcoming person.
Kevin was our safari driver and guide for the entire eight days, and it was an absolute pleasure having him with us. He was polite, patient, extremely knowledgeable. And my God, he has incredible vision! I always said he has “Eagle Eyes” because he could spot animals from unbelievably far away. Even at a great distance, he could tell us what animal it was, whether it was male or female, what species it was, and so much more. His knowledge of the wildlife was truly extensive.
Most importantly, Kevin seemed to have an internal GPS in his head. He knew exactly how to navigate the parks and where to look for different animals. Thanks to him, we managed to see more than 30 lions in different groups and locations, dozens of hippos, one very rare leopard, a cheetah, and countless zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and many, many other animals.
The hotels and safari lodges selected for us were also excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable, the service was very good, and the food was delicious throughout the trip.
Overall, we had a fantastic safari experience, and I would recommend Apodiformes Adventures to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

Exceptional operator with thorough planning, attentive communication and proactive on-ground support
What impressed me most throughout this entire trip was our guide, Big Tom. He is kind, approachable, considerate, observant and highly flexible. As we traversed the African savannah, he had an incredible eye for wildlife — he could spot all kinds of animals from a great distance, as if he carried a measuring scale in his sight.
He has an excellent memory, knowing every animal by name and able to share detailed insights into each species’ unique behaviours and traits. He responded promptly to all our requests during the safari and made suitable adjustments to accommodate our needs.
On one occasion, after a long full-day safari, he had to drive overnight to our next destination because our group needed to catch an early-morning flight the next day. He pulled it off successfully. With merely three hours of rest, he still took us on the Amboseli safari the following day.
Overall, he is an outstanding guide, and I wholeheartedly recommend him!

Big Tom demonstrated incredible professionalism and dedication during our entire safari journey. He kindly helped us pack up and load all of our luggage onto the vehicle every single day. Fully familiar with every route across the savannah, he was consistently punctual for all our planned activities. He knew exactly where to position the vehicle for wildlife observation, constantly seeking out ideal viewing spots. Thanks to his great experience and sharp eyes, we enjoyed countless amazing wildlife sightings and witnessed many spectacular animal moments that we will cherish forever.

Big Tom’s patience and genuine enthusiasm made our safari so much more special. No matter how many questions we asked about the wildlife, he always answered us warmly and thoroughly, never rushing our discussions. He was genuinely excited alongside us every time we spotted animals, sharing his passion for the savannah and its creatures. He remained calm and patient even when we wanted to pause longer for photos or wait for better animal sightings. His positive energy was contagious throughout the whole trip, and his warm, welcoming attitude made every day of our adventure feel joyful and relaxed.

Great time, good deal!
Just had a wonderful 9 day safari + beach trip. I worked with Janet from Apodiformes for about 9 months from when we booked our trip to when we traveled. She was communicative and helpful at every step of the way. We had issues with two lodges on our itinerary that were unable to honor our original reservations and she worked with us and the lodges on other equivalent options very quickly.
Our guide Isaiah was then the star of the show during the safari. He was both knowledgeable and kind, getting us great views of the Big 5 and sharing good info on the animals. Whenever we wanted to linger a bit longer or stop to get pictures he was happy to oblige. We spent lots of time in the car over the 6 days we were on safari and traveling to different parks and enjoyed it all - even the "African massages" from the bumpy roads. Would recommend the company and Isaiah to those interested in safari.

Perfect adventure
Apodiformes Adventures provided fantastic, thoughtful service throughout our entire African safari. Our guide Big Tom was outstanding: caring, quick-witted and flexible. He expertly spotted wildlife across the savannah and explained animal habits vividly, and always responded quickly to our requests. What impressed us deeply was an extra favour we asked for. After our safari, we planned to travel to Egypt and needed help printing our Egypt visa documents. We reached out to the operator, and they immediately coordinated with our hotel in Nairobi for our last night stay. They arranged to have the printed documents ready in an envelope and handed directly to us upon check-in. Plus, Big Tom went above and beyond — after a long safari day, he drove overnight for our early flight and guided our Amboseli tour with merely 3 hours’ rest. This team is reliable, attentive and truly cares about travellers. Cannot recommend them enough!

An unforgettable honeymoon in magical Kenya – highly recommend Apodiformes Adventures!
We had the most amazing time exploring magical Kenya on our honeymoon! Our itinerary included the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli, followed by a few relaxing days at Diani Beach. It truly was the trip of a lifetime, and we are incredibly grateful to have experienced it with Apodiformes Adventures.
Syprose organised everything for us from start to finish, and the whole experience was seamless. She was proactive with her communication, always responsive to our questions and made us feel in good hands throughout the entire process. Everything was delivered as quoted, with no unpleasant surprises. We also had no issues transferring the remaining balance internationally, and Syprose proactively provided confirmation of receipt.
We started with one of their suggested itineraries and then customised it together with Syprose to suit our needs. The flexibility and personalisation were fantastic, and the value for money was excellent.
Our guide, Isaiah, was very knowledgeable and made the safari experience even more special. He struck a great balance between accommodating our wishes and offering helpful suggestions for the daily itinerary and game drives. Choosing a private tour was absolutely the right decision for us. We could stop whenever we wanted, spend more time watching the animals that interested us and enjoy each moment without feeling rushed.

A great safari that I highly recommend
Our tour guide, Songe, knows how to find the best places to see the animals. Our contact, Janet, was very helpful on arranging the safari. Accommodation was excellent, with great food. We saw all the animals on our list, including those that are hard to find. We had a wonderful time.
