Quintessential Safari Experience
This was my second Safari in Tanzania and I felt it was incredibly good value. All the places we stayed along the way were incredibly comfortable. The staff do everything possible to ensure you have a good experience. Because of our shorter trip the guides sought to maximize our time viewing animals and we were often the last ones to camp but our accommodations were extremely comfortable and food was hot.
Our guide David was very warm and knowledgeable about the animals we saw. Between the Serengeti and the Crater we saw the Big Five! I definitely recommend this company for folks seeking a customizable experience and who are more budget conscious as you will get a very robust experience.

They are professionals
Emanuel and his team are very good. They organized everything well for us. Our guide was Charles. He did his best to make our journey pleasant. He is very respectful to us, to other tourists, and to the animals. The accommadations on safari were also clean and convinient. At the end of our safari, Emanuel also arranged a city tour for us with Gasper. He is also a very nice respectful gentleman. We enjoyed our walk with him in the city. We had a very nice experience and we recommend this company for sure.

Incredible!
We had the best two days ever!!
We visited Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, and it was incredible. Aside from the nature and the animals, these two days were perfectly organized. Our guide, Charles, always explained everything to us in the best possible way, drove us to the best spots, and was super friendly. Our chef, Emanuel, was simply amazing! The food was the best I've eaten in three weeks in Tanzania so far (thank you so much!!).
At first, I was a little unsure whether everything would work, but our worries were put to rest, and everything was arranged perfectly for us. The accommodation was also very good!
I can highly recommend it to everyone!!!

Supportive and excellent hospitality
We were able to contact the operator few months prior the actual tour dates with quick responses which gave us sense of security even before arriving to Tanzania. Due to flight delay, we ended up having to shorten our tour, but operator responded with flexibility providing us an excellent 2 day tour.
Great safari
We went on a three-day safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a group of six. Crater Explorer Tours and Safaris handled the whole thing brilliantly. They were incredibly organized, attentive, and very flexible in all aspects. I messaged several companies, but Emanuel was the first to respond. He responded to all my questions via WhatsApp very quickly. We immediately agreed on a price and discussed every detail. I was met at Kilimanjaro Airport, and the day before the safari, I was checked into the very nice Venice Hotel. A driver picked me up in a jeep the next morning, and the journey began. We spent the night at a campsite, and our cook always prepared fresh food and a variety of dishes. There were always plenty of drinks, fruit, and water. We saw so many different animals and birds. I was absolutely thrilled with this safari. I highly recommend this company.

Amazing camping safari experience with Crater Explorer
Genuine camping safari experience offered by a small yet very efficient company. With a personal touch. The communication with Emanuel Julius was smooth and efficient. He arranged everything for us at a very short notice. Pickups were always on time. Emanuel met us the night before for a debrief about the safari.
Our driver and guide Charles was brilliant : very good driver, gentle, modest and yet so knowledgeable. He always knew were to take us to see all amazing animals. We saw all big 5 and much more.
Our cook - Emanuel was simply the best. He cooked for us delicious varied meals with lots of of fresh vegetables and fruits. He was also helpful and very communicative during the whole safari.
We are happy we went for a camping safari with Crater Explorer. If you are looking for something genuine and don’t need a brand new jeep, crispy sheets and western style lunchboxes this is your operator.

Perfect safari experience.
Communication with the operator was good. Tour guide was very professional and we felt safe for the whole safari. Our safari chef made very delicious food and we enjoyed it alot. We slept in the lodges and we are very pleased with that, accomodation was clean and service there was very good. In the tour we were lucky enough to see the Big Five and it was dream come true.

Reliable and great service
The whole experience was really great and we got to see a lot. Guide was professional and shared us many interesting details about the culture and animals. We also had an excellent chef who prepared us lunch and dinner. No additional water or snacks was needed. We stayed in the mid-range accomodation. They were really nice and clean. Our rooms had showers and toilets, you were also able to charge you phone.

Perfect experience for first time safari
