Safari of a lifetime with a highly skilled guide, very comfortable car, warm lunches & beautiful acc
5/5

We had the most amazing safari with Nkollo Tours! We saw the big 5 and many more animals. It was all we hoped for and more.
We also saw 3 leopards in 3 different parks! We were very lucky.

The accommodations were great, especially the tented camps in the Serengeti where we could spot herds of elephants from our tent and during breakfast and the bush dinner and breakfast we had at another lodge.

Our guide Richard is a highly skilled guide. He has a great eye for spotting animals (like spotting a leopard in the bushes next to the road while he was driving), has a lot of knowledge about the animals and their behaviour, is an excellent driver, tailors the game drives to your preferences (and took different routes than most drivers so we were not bunched up with other vehicles) and on top of that he is very friendly.
During the game drives we had warm lunches and once we just ate in the Serengeti with views of a herd of elephants.
The car was very comfortable (as much as it can be on bumpy roads in the parks).

We stayed 2 nights in the Serengeti which I definitely recommend. Also, Ngorongoro crater is stunning. We also did the crater rim walk there which was great too. Tarangire NP is good for spotting elephants and Lake Manyara has a different vegetation.

Furthermore, when booking the safari Mercy was a great help. She gave us a personalised quote, offered different options for the route and the accommodations and was always very quick to respond.

This was really a safari of a lifetime and I recommend Nkollo Tours a 1000%!

Thank you for an incredible trip Nkollo Tours! We can’t recommend enough.

The accomodation organised was perfect - we particularly enjoyed the remote Moyo Tented Camp (Central Serengeti).

Thank you to Mercy who was very helpful and communicative in the booking process and throughout our trip. It made it very easy for us!

A huge thank you to Dereck (our guide) who made our trip! Thank you for everything - you are incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable and we can’t thank you enough! We saw every animal imaginable (including a chameleon!) A truly special trip that we will remember forever.

Thank you!
Jack and Georgie

Jefftar was our guide and driver, and we felt completely safe and secure with him throughout the entire trip. He is extremely experienced — we saw all of the Big Five within the first three days, and he often stayed out with us until sunset to help us spot more wildlife. We felt very lucky to have had him guiding us.

There had been heavy rain recently and many vehicles got stuck in the mud, with one even overturning, but we remained safe the whole time thanks to his careful driving and constant focus. He checked the vehicle thoroughly before every departure, and one morning even went for servicing at 6 a.m. to ensure everything would run smoothly.

He also maintained the jeep at an impressively high hygiene standard despite the muddy season. Every day the in-car mats were cleaned thoroughly, and he even washed the jeep to keep the windows clear so we could properly spot animals — something we really appreciated.

What touched us most was his kindness and humanity. He gently asked whether we would be happy for our untouched lunch box to be shared with people working in the park who had no food. That moment really showed us his character. Another lovely surprise was when we casually mentioned we hadn’t had any pork during the trip out of curiosity — Jefftar spoke with the camp chef, and that evening we were served fried pork for dinner!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Jefftar as our guide — he is truly exceptional. A big thank you as well to our trip planner Mercy for organising everything so seamlessly and giving us such an unforgettable experience.

Professional, Personal and Absolutely Amazing
5/5

We had the most incredible safari experience with Nkollo Tours. From start to finish everything was very well organised, and it truly became a trip we will never forget.

The itinerary was perfectly balanced. Arusha Farmhouse was a wonderful place to start and acclimatise. Safari Haven Migration Camp and Serengeti Tukaone Weaver Camp were absolute highlights , stunning locations, beautiful tents and excellent food. We genuinely loved staying there. Martina’s Retreat was also a perfect way to end the journey, with such a warm atmosphere and great hospitality.

One of the biggest highlights of our trip was our guide, Michael. We had an amazing time with him. He made sure we saw everything we hoped for, put so much effort into giving us the best possible experience, and we shared many great conversations and lots of laughter along the way. He truly made the safari extra special.

We also want to especially thank Mercy for her outstanding support before and during our trip. She was always quick to respond, very helpful with all our questions and made us feel completely at ease throughout the whole process. Her communication and organisation were excellent.

Overall, everything was arranged with great care and attention. We felt very well looked after at all times. We would highly recommend Nkollo Tours to anyone considering a safari in Tanzania, and if we ever return, we would absolutely book with them again.

5/5

Last week, we were fortunate enough to visit one of the most beautiful places on Earth. During a four-day tour, we explored the Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro.

It has always been a dream of mine to visit the Serengeti and experience its phenomenal flora and fauna firsthand.
That dream finally came true, and it exceeded all my expectations, largely thanks to our amazing guide, Mr. Ringo. From the start, Ringo told us his goal was to keep a smile on our faces at all times, and he certainly succeeded! His knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife, environment, and culture is great, and he was incredibly flexible in tailoring the trip to our preferences. We saw everything we hoped for and more. Ringo even went the extra mile by providing thoughtful touches like cold beverages and a JBL speaker.

These were four days I will never forget. I’ll see you again soon, Mr. Ringo, when I return to Tanzania for school!

Perfectly organised safari tour, amazing adventure and great guide
5/5

Travelled with family of 6 for 4 days in Tanzania (Tarangire, Serengeti/Ndutu , Ngorongoro), starting and ending in Arusha. Together with Mercy of Nkollo tours the safari was planned in detail with all possible personal wishes included. No hidden costs and clear schedule. Our tourguide and driver Mr Ringo picked us up from Arusha Airport and gave a personal introduction about his ambitions and goals of the tour. We got to learn Ringo as a very reliable, predictable, knowledgeable, compassionate and bad-ass tour guide. He really led the tour in a positive way and always was in control of the sometimes exciting situation. He knows and explaines a lot about wildlife, culture and the parks. He arranges everything and informs you about that and is very punctual. All possibilities for adapting and personilising the plan to make sure you get the best experience!

Very caring and organized!
5/5

Our safari with Nkollo was absolutely amazing! From the very first message, Mercy (at their office) was attentive, kind, and made sure we had the exact experience we were hoping for. She listened carefully and tailored everything to our needs, which immediately gave us confidence we were in good hands. She messaged us throughout the entire trip, from beginning to end, making sure things were going as we had hoped. I truly felt like we were cared for.

We did a five-day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu, and the Ngorongoro Crater with Jepther, our incredible guide! The landscapes alone would have made the trip unforgettable, but having Jepther with us truly elevated the entire experience. He is extremely experienced and somehow manages to spot animals from what feels like impossible distances (seeing the elephants move their ears without binoculars, while all you see is a bunch of black spots miles away). He did everything in his power to make sure we saw the Big Five and thanks to him, we did! We saw so many animals, especially lions, along with leopards, elephants, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes and more. Going in February was also really special because of the calving season, we saw so many cubs and calves, it was so cute!! Every day felt abundant and joyful and we felt incredibly connected to nature.

We chose to stay in luxury lodges, and they were all excellent. Most were tented lodges, which created a good connection to the nature surrounding us, yet without compromising comfort. The facilities were very comfortable, with hot showers and good beds. It was the perfect balance between adventure and ease.

Jepther was also just a joy to be around! Always cheerful, always smiling, bringing such lovely energy to every single day. Long hours in the car never felt heavy.

I had asked Nkollo if they could arrange a small birthday surprise for my partner during the trip, and they delivered! During dinner at Tukaone Serengeti Camp, the entire lodge staff came out singing happy birthday, with a beautiful cake and a bottle of sparkling wine. Jepther was also singing at the top of his lungs! haha. It was such a thoughtful moment and one he will remember for years.

Everything was really well organized. We never had to worry about a single detail. Nkollo arranged all our lodges, the safari logistics, and even a balloon safari, which was one of the highlights of the trip. Even the lunches were wonderful, hot meals prepared by the lodges rather than cold lunch boxes, which made a big difference.

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. I would wholeheartedly recommend Nkollo to anyone looking for a seamless, worry-free safari. We felt really well cared for and would love to come back one day and do it all again!

Our 5-day safari with Nkollo Tours & Safaris through Tarangire, Southern Serengeti, and Ngorongoro was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we were picked up at Kilimanjaro airport everything was handled with professionalism and warmth. Our private driver/guide (Richard) was knowledgeable, patient, and had an incredible eye for spotting wildlife — he made sure we saw an amazing variety, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and herds of migrating wildebeest. The parks themselves were breathtaking, especially the wide open plains of the Serengeti and the dramatic crater landscapes. One moment we were watching newborn cheetahs wobble beside their mother; the next, our guide was quietly pointing out a lioness observing from a distance on the hunt. It was raw, real, and deeply humbling.
The silence — broken only by distant animal calls — made everything feel sacred. The accommodations were comfortable and the meals were good throughout.
One again A huge part of what made this trip exceptional was our private driver, Richard. His knowledge, patience, and ability to spot wildlife from impossible distances made every game drive exciting and meaningful. He truly elevated the experience. Not to forget the wonderful lunches he severed us daily.

Top-tier
5/5

Overall Experience: 10/10

We absolutely loved our safari experience. We saw all the animals we were hoping to see — including the Big Five — and visited every destination exactly as scheduled. Everything ran smoothly and on time.

Driver/Guide: 10/10 – BOOK RICHARD!

Richard was outstanding. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating. He kept the vehicle clean and comfortable every day, answered all of our questions, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we appreciated both the wildlife and the landscapes.

At one point, he even predicted animal behavior — which allowed us to witness lionesses chasing and hunting a buffalo and its calf. An unforgettable experience. I would absolutely request Richard again.

Lodges: 9/10

We stayed at Masailand Coffee Lodge and Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Both lodges were very nice, though the internet connection was quite poor at both locations.

Farm of Dreams felt more like a resort and offered more activities, while Masailand Coffee Lodge was quieter and more relaxing.

It was slightly disappointing to learn after payment that the originally quoted lodge was unavailable, although the team did a good job finding alternatives. It would be helpful to clearly inform clients before payment that lodge availability is not guaranteed.

Lunch Boxes: 8/10

The safari lunch boxes were fine, but they could be improved by adding fresh salads or more variety. I’m sure if I had made special requests, they would have accommodated them.

Tented Camp: 10/10

We stayed at Misako Luxury Tented Camp, which truly offers the best of both worlds — nature and comfort.

We were in the middle of the savanna, surrounded by wildlife, while still enjoying resort-level comfort: private bathroom and shower, hot water with great pressure, buffet meals, internet (weak signal), and a bar.

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They made a bonfire for us at night and ensured our safety from nearby wildlife.

The only inconvenience was that the bar accepted cash only, and we were not informed beforehand.

Staff: 10/10

Staff at the lodges: 10/10
Staff at the tented camp: 10/10

Everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive.

Maasai Village Visit: 10/10

We visited a Maasai village — don’t skip this! They are very welcoming and genuinely teach and show you their lifestyle. It was a meaningful cultural experience.

Animal Sightings: 10/10

The only animal we saw from a distance was the rhino. Every other animal was just feet away from us.

I highly recommend visiting during calving season — it’s absolutely adorable seeing all the baby animals.
