Perfect safari!
We took the safari by internet and immediately we had the message to explain exactly all the safari. All the transport were in time and very comfortable. They gives us all the ways to pay and they make us easy all the documents that we need to do the trip. The safari with salonike and Jackson was amazing!! They do all theirs effort to have the best photos and experiences in our safari . Thank you so much again for your patience teaching us the behaviours of the animals.

Welcoming and relaxed with a lot of knowledge.
For a three day tour it was the perfect choice from Dar, with really good vakue for the money. We especially enjoyed that we had three different safaris (by boat, car and foot) and the cosy resort (silent and genuine) with friendly and helpful staff!

Efficient, trustworthy, informative, helpful.
We used Kihindo for a round trip transfer from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi, and for a full-day safari in Mikumi National Parc in November 2024. The price was very good, the communication was efficient and precise, the driver was safe, helpful and very knowledgeable, and the safari experience was amazing. We can absolutely recommend Kihindo for tours and safaris.

Experience and kindness.
I spent three days and two night safari with this tour operator, they took us from our hotel in Dar and brought us directly to the lodge in Nyerere national park! They have been so nice to get any of our requests. William, our guide was amazing, answering every questions we had and fulfilled our every request!

It was a fantastic trip.
We have got an excellent driver, who pick up us at the hotel. In the Safari Lodge we had a very nice stay. The room was lovely and very clean. The staff gave us a very good service and the food was great.

Great experience! We were a group of three from Finland and visited Mikumi for a 1-night, 2-day safari at the beginning of December. Everything was well-organized and went smoothly, from communication and pickups to activities. The accommodation and food were of high quality. Price was very reasonble. We highly recommend Kihindo Tours & Safaris if you’re planning a safari!
Our safari guide - Michael was really good, he had amazing positive energy and was very knowledgeable about Mikumi and the animals there. He was very dedicated to making sure that we would get the most out of our experience in Mikumi, whether that was seeing as many of the animals there as possible or giving us tidbits of information about various things regarding the national park. We were very glad that he was our guide for this safari. On the 2nd day we went on a bushwalk with a local Maasai guide, where we learned more about the plants and birds of the area before visiting a Maasai tribe to learn more about their way of life. It was a very enjoyable experience.
The timing (beginning of December) was perfect, with slightly cloudy weather that wasn’t unbearably hot, and it wasn’t peak tourist season. Mikumi is a great choice if you’re planning a short safari, as the area is smaller compared to the Serengeti, making it possible to see a variety of animals in a short amount of time.

Exellent service
Kihindo Tours and safaris were reliable and safe organisation for solo lady traveler. I felt safe and well looked after during whole time. My guide and driver were very good and they knew a lot of animals and their behavior, local nature and plants too. They both speak very good English, had good sense of humor and they were extremely polite and we had great time together during whole safari. Great Experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris in Mikumi National Park
We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our Mikumi National Park safari, thanks to Michael, our exceptional guide and driver.
He picked us up at the hotel where we were staying in Dar es Salaam and made sure we got back in time for our ferry to Zanzibar. Driving to the park was a great way to travel, as it allowed us to see the countryside and rural life along the way.
Michael’s knowledge of the park, its wildlife, and the local ecosystem was truly impressive. He was patient and adjusted the pace of the tour to suit us, giving us plenty of time to take photographs and record videos of the animals. The park is rich in wildlife in every direction and is also home to a diverse range of birdlife. We were thrilled to spot three of the Big Five and plenty more animals.
We also learned a lot from Michael about Tanzania and its cultures, and we enjoyed sharing stories from life back home. We truly appreciated his company during our safari and became good friends over the course of our trip.
Winnie provided excellent support, answering all our questions promptly and ensuring the trip was well-planned. Her communication gave us confidence from start to finish.
The professionalism, warmth, and expertise demonstrated by both Michael and Winnie made this a standout trip that we would highly recommend. Whether it was spotting amazing wildlife, learning about the park's ecosystem, or simply enjoying the breathtaking landscapes, this safari exceeded our expectations.

We just returned from the most incredible 3-day safari in Mikumi National Park, and it was nothing short of magical! Our guide, Michael, was truly outstanding – the heart and soul of this unforgettable experience. His knowledge of wildlife and the park’s ecosystem was unparalleled. He didn’t just show us the animals; he brought their stories to life with his insightful explanations and contagious enthusiasm.
Thanks to Michael’s expertise and keen eye, we had the rare privilege of spotting not only majestic elephants, graceful giraffes, zebras, and lions but also elusive leopards and jackals – a true highlight of the trip! He knew exactly where to go and how to time everything perfectly to ensure we experienced the park at its very best.
